CHADAR BADAR (Santhal Puppet)

Chaddar-Baddar
A circular wooden stage fixed with small puppets in this traditional means of entertainment can be animated by mechanical means. This age-old puppetry belongs to the Santhal tribe of eastern India. The performer entertains the audience by singing and playing the wooden stage with a prop, lying downside. Narratives of the mythological accounts and folk stories are sung as means of entertainment.
