It's Great what Billy Lane started here, no doubt about it. But, these guys get all the credit! When you have major players involved, like TV exposure from the back-wash of The Discovery Channel, and popular Motorcycle Magazines, promoting these events, it always leaves the originators in the dust. Michael Lange started running exhibition on Factory Board Track H-D's back in the early 1980's. Then, in 2006, Lange hooked up with Promoter's Scotty Brown & The George Brothers to run sanctioned Board Track on the 1/2 mile dirt ovals at Davenport, Iowa and Wauseon, Ohio. bikedays.com They still run this program to the date, but have received NO where near the publicity or notoriety that Billy gets for running a high profile media event!
Thanks for the interview with Paul Cox, always good to here what he's up to. And...Ya Man, Indian Larry would have been all over that scene with Billy Lane. Would have been a Gas seeing those two riding that New Smyrna 1/2 cement oval!!! *R.i.P.* Indian Larry.

You'll be glad to know that Michael made it down to the race this year. Great guy! Him and Billy hooked up and talked about the future. We'll see what happens

@@jeffreymaher2314 Yes, i knew Michael was showing up. Maybe some of these guys will make Wauseon or Davenport. That field of Board Track M/C/'s has an on/off yearly showing. But, they usually are getting 10 to 15 riders. A Division 1. and 2. would really work out! Matt, Brittany & Jeffery(Leroy) have been doing the two event 1/2 miles for years. Thanks for the input Jeffrey.
