Biggest thing I’m hoping for is a port of BG1 & BG2 enhanced editions into the BG3 engine. Would also be awesome to get more of the companions from the first 2 games added into BG3. I find it hard to believe that only Minsc, Jaheira, Viconia, and Sarevok survived to this point. Githzerai would be a great race to add as well.
Sarevok, being human, likely would not have survived actually. Minsc only survived cause he was petrified. I would love a BG1&2 port as well though. I can offer up the assets I make while I'm recreating the de Arnise Keep in Unreal to help 😂 However, being someone who despises Anomen's romance, I'd hope they, the modders, would add some of the modded ones.
I've seen people make absolutely crazy mods with limited tools before, so knowing that the project has growth gives me a lot of hope. I'd give it a decade or so and we'd be able to see fairly decent custom campaigns and maybe even some post-end campaigns. Would be fun to be able to go to join certain companions onto their homeland or to turn their endings into full on campaigns. Descent Into Avarus with Karlach would be fun. I could see some extraplanar travel shenanigans with Gale, Boo, and Minsc. TLDR - Im hopeful for the future
I’d like to see a couple of post ending campaigns as well. For example, travelling with Lazel to kill Vlakith or trying to find a cure for vampirism with Astarion.
I've seen a bunch of modders wanting to pick up Larian's slack and give him more content. Sucks Lariam didn't do ir themselves, but there is hope for us.
Just waiting for spin off campaigns we might not get to see being oficial. AKA Healing Karlach and Turning Astarion back to a normal elf without vampirism
I like how the "we have it despite what Larian said" kinda boils down to "modders are determined fuckers" 😂 (ok, it's also Larian not stripping the editor down enough...but I wanted to use that line...and it's not *entirely* false) by the way, if when these tools get fully fleshed out and people are making campaigns...I''m making a de Arnise Keep in Unreal and Maya (with Blender for sculpting). I mention this in case some crazy fucker (or group of them; dare I say a crazy clusterfuck ;) ) wants to try and re-create BG1 and 2 (if you do, can we add modded romances? 🤣I hate Anomen so much....)
Hey, if you are serious about that, definitely pop by the discord and get in touch with people. I think it's too soon for full-fledged remakes like that, but touching base with other hopefuls is usually how these projects get started.
@@JazzyCeenot really, the save data saves to the internal storage regardless of if the game itself is installed on external storage. When I booted the game up it ran out of storage and hard crashed the entire system. Unless it's specifically configured for the deck it's unlikely any mods would play nice unless it's all on internal storage..
All I want right now are a permanently playable, fully working Alfira companion and literally any small race companion that isn't a hireling.
Good news for you! Theres already a version of Alfira out!.its.completly broken tho lol. But give it time.

Hmmmm 🤔 I might just do that. All I have is a blockout in Unreal right now, but that means Maya models are next!

I probably know the answer to this but will these mods be on console and other devices when patch 7 comes out on them?
The answer is in the video, they are not part of the mod.io pipeline. So no, that would violate the restrictions that platform has.
