I just want to say a more accurate and direct translation of "build to scale"/"ポリリズム" in this game would be Polyrythm, witch is an actual musical concept and is a term used in English. Iits also kinda of weird that for a mimigame called Polyrythm only the second version actually contains one.
I absolutely relate to that fit you had about Quiz Show, when I heard that they put it in Megamix instead of something like oh I dunno... BON ODORI I actually got mad lol
LETSSS GOOOO Also, for the Rap Men part, I unironically legit loved your rendition, it wasn't bad at all~ especially with your movements with the rap. And this is coming from someone who HATES English dubs... Hahaha Great job as always! I love watching your Rhythm Heaven videos SOOOO much!!!
I really don't mean to be that one "UM ACHSUALLY!11!!!" guy, but just so you don't get anyone ACTUALLY like that in the future, this game's "Built To Scale" type game is actually officially named "Polyrhythm". People just associate it with Built To Scale because it oh so clearly was the inspiration for the later games named such. But this one's official name is "Polyrhythm".
LETS GO I've been waiting for another Rhythm Heaven video, the Fever ones were great! Congrats on 1000 subs! Edit: after watching it all the way to the end, I must say that the format is quite nice!
Vegeta-pull: it's a fan translation, the original Japanese is literally "rhythm hair removal". Marching orders: In the army being able to walk in sync is something, um, separate from being able to kill enemies. You don't do that on the battlefield. Quiz: Back when Rhythm Heaven was still "Rhythm IQ" and is supposed to be more of an educational game, this game did make sense, and is indeed a way to train or test one's sense of rhythm. However it doesn't exactly make interesting gameplay for a rhythm game, yeah. Remix 1: ... 1. Yeah it's repetitive but you know the alternative name for this song? Dance practice. It's the music the dev team danced to when they had dancing lessons. Probably it was composed with a different mindset. 2. The 4-hit clappy trio's Japanese sign actually has a different text on it that says 4 instead of 3. 3. The Karate man text is not a number 3, it's る. Staff Credits: I've seen quite a few cases where game or movie credits music having multiple sections with different feelings. Quite standard.

Just saying, I love how much care, fun and effort you put into this grand video! I enjoyed every second of it and appreciate the little sketches for each minigame wholeheartedly! :3
this video was totally worth the wait! it got a lot of laughs out of me! super excited to see more videos in this series since i LOVE when people talk in depth about video game soundtracks :D!
loved this video and congrats on 1k subs!! quick note: the text at 55:44 actually reads 来る (kiru) meaning to arrive or come, which is actually warning you about the incoming 4 objects! not sure why they didnt translate that into english... but i can see how you can mistake る for a 3 lol
Oh woow! My god, thanks for clearing that up. I actually saw it translated before and it was even worse because they translated it to “Last One!” which is actually way worse lmao
I mean, I love music, opinions and ratings, so this is basically the perfect series for me. Congrats on the 1000 subs too, you definitly deserved this. Also if you ever played Rayman Legends, I'd love this game to get an episode in this series, my god the ost is just great
great video, your delivery, editing, and humor are super good! looking forward not only to rhythm heaven DS, but also anything else you make for this new series!
something interesting is that the melody of Bunny Hop sounds almost identical to Mike's theme song from Warioware Touched Also another thing to mention is that "built to scale" is not actually called Built to Scale. The fan translation got it wrong. The ACTUAL name is Polyrhythm.
Actually, rhythm heaven DS has English samples of what the rap men would sound like. You can find them in the phone function of the game, and the rap men actually are the ones who host the rock concert
Duuude I'm so glad I've found your channel this is so cool! Quality content here my man! You deserve like so much more subs and likes! I know you have my sub~
GG on the 1k subs! I really hope you get more popular someday, cause damn this type of editing normally only comes from people that have at least 100k subs. Also about 5:45 I've personally may or may not have played a Blind 100% Playthrough of the original Japanese game (Obviously not counting the Drum lessons cause, oh my god how). Yhea I don't know how but I've beated the game with all perfect all while the text being on japanese, I'm weird.
DUDEE I just found your content and it’s AMAZING!!!! You’ve got some nice snappy editing and great quality visuals, funny lil bits that give it your own personality, just a treat to watch!!!! Def gonna be checking out more of your stuff
i love this format! your videos have such a high quality and it’s suprising that you only have 1k! i recommend the “wii” games like “wii play” and “wii sports” and “mario super sluggers”
Rap men is personally my favourite minigame, holy shit its so good. Fun fact though: they actually did partially translate rap men in the phone rhythm toy in the ds game. (It was absolute horrible)
i think one thing that important to remember with rhythm heaven silver is that despite being pretty good of a fan translation, it has so many flaws. Like Poly rhythm was changed to built to scale in terms of naming, which makes no sense in terms of the rhythm concepts of poly rhythm being, well a poly rhythm.
this video made me realize out of nowhere that rhythm reference room reminds me of papas pizzeria marchers disrespect?? unsubscribed, police called, uninvited to my wedding 24:37 speedy spirits is what sneaky spirits 2 should be called nintendo hire this guy 41:28 :( i didnt even notice until now that most tengoku sequels use the same music 🤨🤨 tsunku cancelled 55:43 i'm so used to reading japanese that i forgot that る would look like a 3 to people who don't speak it 😭 that actually says kuru, which i'd translate in this case as something like "here it comes!" horse machine 4 fandom stay strong anyway, super entertaining video! absolutely love your energy 🙏

20:43 that Green Jellyfish is the is the Space Umpire. Edit: Oh and the reason why Cheese Heist feels like a WarioWare minigame is because Rhythm Heaven and WarioWare are made by the same Programmer, Kazuyoshi Osawa.
I absolutely adore this series, but I’m convinced you need to be a professional percussionist to complete it. (At least that’s what I say to comfort myself for not being able to unlock the warioware challenge)
The original name of Built to Scale is named Polyrhythm which is a music style based on two different rhythms playing at the same time which fits the concept of the minigame in question, plus I prefer Polyhythm as a name
Now, I like this video and all and I will doubt you will read this comment but... I always wondered how do you feel about the "TEMPO UP!" stages from Rhythm Tengoku Arcade. Tempo Up is Set 1 but with a "new coat of paint" that is exclusive to Rhythnm Tengoku Arcade. They "remixed" the songs and I wanted to know how you feel about it. Also great video! Superb infact! You earned yourself another subscriber! (along with a medal!)
I think everything past row six of minigames is just challenge games, which expand directly on the sequel (for worse or for better). That’s probably why there’s no original music. Row six is the only row with new music, because the games in that row have such unique aesthetics from their original counterparts.
dont have an english emulator but managed to get bon odori superb relatively quickly simply because of how much i listened to it before playing it (ngl that song was the sole reason i got a gba emulator)
Not to be that guy, but you forgot the practice music for marchers Also sorry if I commented a month later, RUclips forgot to tell me this video existed
Fun fact: Horse Machine 4 is the only Rhythm Heaven song that is in 5/4 time!

We need a new rhythm heaven on all softwares just to remove quiz show
the most likely reason BON ODORI isnt in mega mix is localization with the korean version

Super Paper Mario has quite a banging soundtrack honestly
actually scratch that so does the whole series, it has its crowning moments

"UNLIMITED POWER!!!"
Edit: Michael's editing is amazing.
I'm trying that right now. Bon Odori traumatized me. I'm too stubborn to use the cafe so it took me over an hour to pass.

How come you have all those instruments? They sure make the video way more entertaining.
I agree with your opinion abut remix 5, it is a bop! Especially the extended version
Just imagine ranking every WarioWare Microgame song in the entire series
Haha.. Just Kidding...
Unless?
(Great video so far, its epic)
Can you rank all the music in plants vs zombies 2, there's a bunch of good music in it. It would also be good in this series.
Yes that would be awsome!
Don’t forget the first pvz though.
How about both games
Pvz 1 would be great as well but let’s be honest
Every pvz has amazing music, I’d personally say garden warfare 1 has the most nostalgic music
20:43 that Green Jellyfish is the is the Space Umpire.

For one of your next Soundtrack Dive episodes, you should do Hollow Knight. It has one of the best soundtracks in an indie game, basically ever
ds game is my favourite, not going to lie
You should have mentioned the remix 5 guitar solo that was cut out, because it’s a crime that it was left out of the game
cool
the next logical step is to do Rhythm Heaven DS
There is a music term for remix 8, it’s called variations
Not to be that guy, but you forgot the practice music for marchers
Also sorry if I commented a month later, RUclips forgot to tell me this video existed
Do the entire Miitopia soundtrack. I challenge you.
