Embarrassing fact about me: Megamix was my first exposure to the series for me, so I always thought the prequels were the actual first versions of the returning games, so you could imagine my confusion when I saw Rhythm Tweezers 2 on GBA and Fillbots 2 on DS.
4:37 * immediately cuts to showtime ost from tengoku extended for the rest of the video * i personally think the og fillbots ost is way more fitting for the minigame, new one kinda bangs but thematically would've fit way better with karate man's prequel by FAR my favorite part of the shoot em up prequel song is the first 8 measures of the second part.. just sounds so harmonically colorful :) 38:04 my favorite part so far 39:00 nevermind THIS takes the cake 😭 id watch a whole rhythm heaven in a nutshell series like this tbf i also had no idea exhibition match was an actual real life thing 47:37 ohhh that explains why a lot of the new megamix songs felt a little samey to me. not the biggest fan of the techno instruments in general but tongue lasher is one of my absolute favorite songs in the entire series and the instruments worked PERFECTLY with that one. maybe they should've just been used more sparingly throughout the ost. flipper flop prequel slaps but my one gripe with it is that is was clearly made for the triplet cue and the gameplay was probably changed to flipper rolls at the last second, which fits noticeably less 58:25 challenging someone to make a custom remix to the entire barbie movie 58:55 made me giggle 1:01:28 🎶who lives in a pineapple under the sea🎵 challenge train over challenge land?? 😨😨 unforgivable CHARGING CHICKEN DISRESPECT???? the look on my face when i heard the rating is in the dictionary under the entry for flabbergasted 😔 i LOVE tower map. both the composition and instrumentation are so goofy in the most banging way possible. i wanna eat that bass. sumo brothers is another where the techno is done SUPER well. another one of my absolute favorites too. 1:13:00 im having a mandela moment here because i could've sworn the alien from spaceball was female and had a human name but i looked it up and his name is just space umpire??? maybe i'm confusing him with another character but i feel like i remember the fandom mentioning this on various occasions and now i cant find anything whatsoever 😭 i actually don't like the instrumental of lush remix. the blaring trumpets feel kinda unfitting imo, maybe it's these particular trumpets that sound off cuz i know i do like a good trumpet. that being said i LOVE the original, i've literally played the remix multiple consecutive time because it's SO GOOD, definitely one of my favorite rhythm heaven songs. good luck on part 2, take your time! and as a fellow person who hates writing and is super insecure about it, your video scripts are great 🙏 super enjoyable to watch, you're definitely one of my new favorite youtubers! these videos have me dancing along with you for half of the video duration 😭

We need that cover of the Try Again song on it's own! That was so good! Also, the original Sneaky Spirits is calm music in relatively intense setting with straight edges but the prequel is a relatively intense song in a calm environment.
