Thank you so much for posting. I watched this with my Dad, who managed to shed a tear or two. Its so wonderful to see what a brilliant player and person Mr. Brooking was for our club. Alara
My all time football hero, can remember always wanting to be Brooking when i played footie with my friends as a youngster.A wonderful player who had great vision and balance, chances were if Trev got the ball you didn't get it off him.West Ham lost something very special when Trev retired and to this day i think they were never able to replace him. A lovely man and a very special player who gave me many great memories, thank you Trev.
Brilliant! I was lucky enough to start going to matches in 1972 when Trev was coming into his prime. What a player! Great vision and trickery. He did loping runs where the ball seemed to stick to his feet and opponents just couldn't get it from him. He represents everything that West Ham is about. Thank you Trev! ...and beating Aresnal with a header in the FA Cup final 1980 was a pinnacle for me!
Not seen this before. Oh my goodness, what a different age. Yes West Ham used to be a family club full of humble players playing the most awesome style of the time, but not always winning lol! Awesome film production for its time, brilliantly filmed, edited and with Trevor's voice over the cream on the cake! Thanks for sharing! Saw Trevor play many times until 1975. A favourite player. Would love to have met him. Went to school with his nephew, who turned up one day with a long sheet of his autographs lol! Thank you Trevor!
I had the privilege to play against Sir Trevor in the Spall Brentwood League when he played for Havering Nalgo and in 1 game he forgot his Boots & had to go home & get them Legend
My older brother's team played Trevor's team in the Essex Cup. The manager decided to man mark Brooking 😂 He absolutely ran the game without really going above walking pace. It was 89 or 90 I think
I will never forget you gave me an England Stationary kit and presented my brother with his man of the match trophy player of the year trophy and Bobby Moore that same day gave my bro the runners up league trophy for Thundersley Rovers up at the Shrimpers ground. You Sir are a legend a lovely person and an honour to have had play for West Ham and England. Thank you for making this video 😘⚒🤘👊🏆🍺🇬🇧
When I was a West Ham supporter I was always struck by us having such classy gentleman players but such knuckle dragging dimwit fans. If I win the lottery I'm going to start Thames Ironworks FC likes FC United of Manchester!!
