Anyone see the medal count for this meet on one of the major news networks in the States? It had The US leading medal tally count first place, despite a "whopping 3 gold medals to the US," and, at the time, "only 10 gold to Australia?" They counted all the medals, bronze, silver and gold at 23, with Australia "only" 16. They couldn't stand that the Australian's were winning most of the golds. Australia might be downunder, and small in population, but from what I've experienced and seen, it is a very sophisticated country, and the wealth is shared around, as opposed to the the top 10% of the population owning 90% of the wealth, as is the exact situation in The US. Australians brought the internet to the world too! The only thing lacking is population, @ close to 27 million, but the standard of living is high, the wages great, lifestyle fantastic, and good free healthcare. Not bad for a little place tucked away from the rest of the world.😊
Considering Australia has a smaller population than the state of California, we punch above our weight against the Americans in swimming. They have a LOT more talent to choose from.
It’s not only telling but also bizarre that the US is the only country in the world that counts the amount of medals won overall rather than by gold medals. They do the same for the Olympics as well. It’s the same way they put M/D/Y instead of D/M/Y or that they’re the ‘only country’ in the world that STILL uses the imperial system rather than metric. The US is advanced in so many way yet so backward in others, their health care system is a perfect example of that fact, for such a wealthy not to have universal healthcare for its citizens speaks volumes about them.
Da mucha satisfacción observar qué Australia vuelve a tomar la hegemonía en la natación, la cual había perdido por muchos años. Felicitaciones por este gran logro.
Well done Australia, that was just a thing of beauty! I watched this event live on TV and man, I'm just so proud of them, especially what a swim by Mollie O'Callaghan, that was sensational! Hearing the Aussie national anthem on TV, I'm just so proud to be an Aussie myself. ❤ Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi oi oi! 2024 Paris Olympics, here we come!
@@calvinang1China and Australia has more gold medals than the US. China (20), Australia (15), US (4). I believe the medal counts includes the other aquatic sports. So, China is in the lead with 37 medals, Australia with 25 and US with 37.
@@thunder300-v6v Historically, I think the US leads in gold medal counts than Australia. Cycling, I don't know about it. Cricket is not a fair comparison since the US doesn't really play cricket.
It's the most unassuming world record call I've witness, casual nonchalant & almost expected is the theme set but then again swimming world recs fall more regularly then other sports records.
Why was there no swimming speed comparison for the top 3 for the first two groups? The graphics only show up on the 3rd and 4th 100m races. The graphics always show on all races. This is most peculiar.
Mack Horton accused the Chinese of doping and didn't want to stand on the podium and Australia applauded him for it, me included.... now an Australian confirmed and banned for doping is standing on the podium.... I'm Australian but this is embarrassing and hugely hypocritical. We hold others to a different standard to ourselves. What a joke.
@@rajivmurkejee7498 So was Sun Yang in 2014 - yet Mack Horton still went at him in Rio. Why? If you want to be consistent with how the aussie media went about it in 2016, then Shayna Jack is a drug cheat.
No she wasn't, she served a 2 year ban. She didn't knowingly ingest the substance, but that doesn't mean she didn't ingest it and benefit from it. She took it and she served her time. Every other competitor accused of doping will say the same thing@@danielkelly4487
cant trust world aquatics channel when they got 4x200 wrong when the board clearly shows 4x100 😂😂😂 yall shld be disqualified for not apologizing or amend the error 😂😂😂 TF!!!!

Congratulations, Australia! Another gold and a new WR!!! Way to go!!!!
I think its 4x100 not 200
Yeah.
right i ended up watching it again
Literally says the event lower left hand corner lol
They actually should add a Mixed 4x200m Free Relay at Worlds and Olympics. They do it at Europeans, so why not at the major world ones?
@@irelxnd It'd be nice at Worlds but I don't think it's needed at the Olympics.
Chalmers and O'Callaghan. Wow just wow.
And Shaynna Jack! Her leg was incredible and gave them the lead

I think it was wifi and Bluetooth, not the internet. Our internet speeds are pathetic compared to most developed places.
Thanks for the kind words tho
Yes, I noticed exactly the same thing with the US manipulating the medal count to put themselves top.

McEvoy will be swimming the 100 again next year.

Australia 🇦🇺 sets their new world 🌎 record holders in Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay.
Time has come to race Mollie & Shayna to race in male sprint free events 😜
Shayna Jack was outstanding
4x100*
duncan scott is so funny on the intro of how he walks
Are they gonna finish their second 100?
Chalmers has been an amazing swimmer, where will Australia get a new one to take over from him?
It’ll be interesting to see who the Aussies pick for their relays in Paris2024
How many world records did Australia break during the meet???
this is 100? not 200?
didnt relise coming second most of the time means you won 🤣🤣🤣
Theres this thing called a finish where whoever is in front wins... you should google it.
And our B team too
the title is wrong
australia is so fast....
The guys only had to be level for Shayna Jack and Good Golly Miss Molly to make short work of the opposition
AE VS ONIC ESPORTS VS EVOS LEGEND VS RRQ VS GEEK
this isnt the 4 x 200m.
What a pity for Japanese, still no any Gold in swimming as hoster

The way they do the leader board is awful
the reason they have good swimmers is because their ancestors tried to escape the continent numerous times! convicts gonna convict
😂😂😂
The 'convicts' you refer to were all English, born in England. Do some research.

4×1000 freestyle
Australian men swimmer are slower when the women’s turn they hit the lead.

Bronze, Silver, GOLD! Always the most important people for the most important acknowledgement, last on the podium, most of the accolades......
The order of the relay was two men then two women. They came out in the order they swam.
They can swim in any order but through trials they found out in freestyle 4x100m the men first is the fastest and all adopted it.
