I actually find his story inspirational. I've been in dead end jobs or jobs I've loathed before, but he took away the best from it and created some of the funniest stuff ever written. The guy is a genius
he is my one true inspiration, i just found out today that i have got accepted into university and the one thing that really pushed me all this way...was mike. i watched this when it first came out and swallowed every word that came from his mouth. no one has inspired me so much. thankyou mike for everything, you mean the world to me. fire fire!!!!!!!!!!!
It takes a very intelligent person like Mike Judge to develop such a scathingly funny program that uses imbecilic characters to deliver the wit. He also has a wonderful ability to take life experiences and translate them into instantly relatable and extremely memorable characters, for example, anyone and everyone who works in a cubicle jungle knows "Bill Lumbergh." Mike Judge deserves all the success he has earned. I always look forward to the next Mike Judge production. Uhhh huh huh huh, huh huh huhhuhhahhah.
Mike Judge, I love you. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You see it... just the fact that we know who Elvira and Mike Judge and Beavis are, and that they are older now, and they are prolly most likely still involved in show biz, it would be a kick to see them on the same studio set, goofing off with their character voices & their ideas ruminating through their heads, with cameos by say, Deborah Harry "uh, Debbie... @ 1:18 on Heart Of Glass, uhm...what do you mean by "yer cheezy-like nipple"?" watch?v=BtGWVoLGAA8 "Debbie, uhh, did you "do" Dallas?
got "fire, fire!" in there. Realizing the controversy and history behind it, that has got to be the best tribute to one of his most successful shows. ...though King of the Hill, in my opinion, is easily his best show.
24:50 when he says "touch economic times", it sort of sounds like butthead... lmao a great speech, i recommend everyone listen to it. Mike Judge came from humble beginnings and has been wildly successful, so he knows what hes talking about :P
Hey Beavith, remember that Miii... miiiii... Mike Judge guy that made those cartoons? Ohh.. yeah yeah.. I remember him.. heh... Well..uh.. he had fifty dollars once.. in his pocket.. heh heh.. No way.. really? ... wow.. he's like .. really.. succethful or something.. yeah..
@PrickStanda The character's name is Boomhauer { just in case you want to know) and to the untrained audience member of King of the hill it may sound like mumbling
I love all the thumbs down for my comment. By the way mutton - I WENT to UCSC - given I had to finish many of my upper division courses at Stanford, I still went to UCSC. So please don't be so condescending towards UCSC.
I actually remember he was scheduled to do a guest spot onthat show Live Line back when B&B Do America came out. Well he backed out at pretty much the last minute because in his words he didn't want to talk about sex. Ironically about week or two later he hosted his own radio show on my favorite station, as though Beavis and Butthead were actually there rnning te equipment and stuff. All the music was from the movie and Beavis tried to play his shlong on the record player. Funny stuff LOL.
An overall wretched, rambling speech. Through all of that he DOES make some very important good points, though. I respect him very highly for his work on King of The Hill; the character development, humor, and writing were always first rate.
6:50 beginning of Mike Judge's speech.
Thanks man
I actually find his story inspirational. I've been in dead end jobs or jobs I've loathed before, but he took away the best from it and created some of the funniest stuff ever written. The guy is a genius
Jimmy O. Yang (Jian Yang) was part of the graduating class that year. Little did he know he'd be working with Mike less than five years later.
Amazing speech. Everything Mike said was true about life and being in the workforce. Pursue your passions. Thanks for the encouragement, Mike.
Cooler than Seth MacFarlane
everyone is.
no stop
So many voices! I love Mike Judge!

Plain and simple

rhetoric 101: every great speech begins with "eehhh.. ahuhuhuuhh"
I seriously can't think of a better way to begin a speech than with "Uhh-huh-huh..."

Cornholio
Seth MacFarlane's name should not even be mentioned in the same sentence as Mike Judge.
yeah he is!
After watching Beavis and Butt-head and King of the Hill, I always wondered what his natural voice sounded like.
Silicon valley much better

Is it me or does every time an animated character voice speaks in person, it sounds like its dubbed?
Cara ele é ótimo

6:54 - skip the shit. that's when mike starts speaking
what a cool guy
I'm gonna miss KOTH so much.
mike judge is the man "fire fire!" LOL
got "fire, fire!" in there. Realizing the controversy and history behind it, that has got to be the best tribute to one of his most successful shows.
...though King of the Hill, in my opinion, is easily his best show.
6:54 you're welcome
His real voice is closer to the Hank Hill voice in the newer seasons.
Butthead: Uhhhh, huh huh, jobs are dumb. Huh huh. Beavis: heh heh, yeah, just the SAME thing, every day. heh heh. DUMB
after that he exclaimed, "kick me in the jimmy!".
It's been 11 years but..............'I SAID DO IT '
the character from king of the hill, but does it make any sense or it's just mumbling? i'm not a native english speaker
right? I was noticing this too....
i'll second that
There needs to be King of the Hill movie. I HAVE SPOKEN!!!
24:50
when he says "touch economic times", it sort of sounds like butthead... lmao
a great speech, i recommend everyone listen to it. Mike Judge came from humble beginnings and has been wildly successful, so he knows what hes talking about :P
Far prouder of this alumnus speaking than when the Clintons spoke at my graduation(s)
very inspiring, i tell you what! He should of did the Hank Hill expression, "Blahhhhh!!"
I have no idea why this was recommended to me
don't even mention seth mcfarlane, in fact forget he even exists. you're missing matt parker and trey stone.
Hey Beavith, remember that Miii... miiiii... Mike Judge guy that made those cartoons? Ohh.. yeah yeah.. I remember him.. heh... Well..uh.. he had fifty dollars once.. in his pocket.. heh heh.. No way.. really? ... wow.. he's like .. really.. succethful or something.. yeah..
Jin Yang after the speech probably smoked, because it was a special occasion
Mike Judge - Matt Groening - Trey Parker
Fire! Fire!
@TrustYourOwnInstinct Eh, more like Hunter S. Thompson actually (who Johnny Depp portrayed quite well)
@PrickStanda The character's name is Boomhauer { just in case you want to know) and to the untrained audience member of King of the hill it may sound like mumbling
Mike Judge should get together with Elvira Mistress Of The Dark, and do a goofy weekly late show.
woo hoo mike judge!!!!!
I love all the thumbs down for my comment. By the way mutton - I WENT to UCSC - given I had to finish many of my upper division courses at Stanford, I still went to UCSC. So please don't be so condescending towards UCSC.

i would have just died laughing at 7:05 if i was there
Mike rolls in at 6:54

I actually remember he was scheduled to do a guest spot onthat show Live Line back when B&B Do America came out. I fuckin love mike judge. Maybe even a little more then Seth macfarlen. O_o
It's been 11 years, I wonder how many of those poor saps are unemployed and living with their parents now?
@24:31,
Pillagers will never be unemployed.
How the mighty have fallen.
An overall wretched, rambling speech. Through all of that he DOES make some very important good points, though. I respect him very highly for his work on King of The Hill; the character development, humor, and writing were always first rate.
