I want to apologize for the inconsistent mic audio quality in this episode and the previous one. I accidentally screwed up the gain settings on my microphone and didn't notice until I had recorded several days worth of gameplay. It's been fixed and the mix should be back to butter smooth for episode 56. Thanks for putting up with me. I literally have no idea how any of this audio/video software works.
This series is great, I have really enjoyed it so far. I think there is a lot of room for EVE challenges such as this. I started playing ~6 months ago and the lack of this sort of content really stood out in comparison to other games I play (OSRS for example). Challenges are useful since they force exposure to a wide array of content. Even though I'd never do the challenge myself it has still exposed me to different parts of the game that I now want to go try out (i.e. moon mining).
That makes sense. Perseus has 97. If I'd brought the Sisters launcher, I would have had 101, which means I probably would have gotten so tanatlizingly close that I would have sat there for hours trying to arrange my probes just right lol.
I haven't run the math myself, but I'd consider gathering materials for a spare rack of T2 artillery. Worst case, you never end up building that set & use the mats for something else.
It's a shame you can't source a cheetah. I know your already in the midst of a T2 build but the CPU and Power would be so much better for running the scand you need and your covert ops cloak. I love my cheetha. Anyway, great series as always.
When they rebalanced the moons, did the materials start shifting? At one time, all the moon data was mapped and published, though I think that was by players.
Just thought about his... Have you considered doing some faction warfare to get some nice pvp loot? You could likely get some consistent t2 module drops, in particular projectile weapons in Minmatar space

That is insane you found that moon on the first try. The largest conflicts in the game have been fought over those moons.

It will be interesting to see how the challenge will change with the new expansion changing how pirate ships are manufactured
A Superior Sleeper Cache needs a probe strength of at least 105 to scan it down; below that no precision or manual probe placement will help.

Have you seen the faction ship hull changes? The neurolinks have been scrapped for items that you buy from LP stores for lp and isk
You could also get Thermonuclear Trigger Units from reprocessing Bouncer 2 and Berserker 2. Maybe Ninja looting Battlefields might be an option.
