This helps a lot ive been trying to get my blizzard sorc right. So focus on all ice spike damage boosts and cold damage boosts and dont worry about overall damage percentages right? Focus on beefing intelligence and roll armor with mana per second perks as well as atk speed to just dump spikes
I would temper in my weapon/offhand the lucky hit to cast element for a brief damage spike with tal rashas

Regarding blizzard size, so ur saying the ice spikes are more spaced out, less dense? What if U put on the tundra deep freeze aspect on say gloves to test. It gives 50% radius boost to spikes, maybe can be ok to compensate for density lost idk..?
nope blizzard size is instantly gona destroy your build :D The loss of density is a complete nightmare
does it mean Crackling Energy is a Shock skill ?
I have a all fire build and use hydra, firewall, and meteor my damage multiplier but recently got a helmet that spawns ice spikes on lucky hit very very cool
If you found a Blue Rose Ring (that spawns ice spike) I recommend not to use it its very terrible.

Thanks. Shame about the blizzard size though. Ive been doing tests with the 'cast twice' affixes. They dont count as casts for unstable currents. Still need to test whether the double cast doubles your enchantment proc like frozen orb or chain lightning, but i doubt it
Nope everything cast by unstable currents of frozen orb enchant basically doesnt count as cast and triggers nothing. It's super depressing.

I believe there was a mistake, you should not count the white damage but the yellow. The white damage will get ice fall bonus because it can be the blizzard damage. Since blizzard can't crit, it would be safer count the yellow
:D no everything in the video is correct. Ice fall has nothing to do with crit or non crit.

No winterglass only works for frozen orb. Mana is basically the bottleneck of sorc builds in Season 4

Hi, great vid thanks for this. does attack power (under stats) increase ice spike damage?
Attack power is not really a reliable stat. It ignores conditional modifiers and only uses unconditional ones.
It has no impact on your damage its just an indicator.
Also make sure to press "evade" with Esus Boots on so the crit gets factored in ;)
Same with attack speed elixir
Also dont look in town look at training dummy
@@GoldfarmingGuide Ah ok thanks for the explanation. What does this mean for ring of the starless skies? It gives me sheet attack power in combat. Does it do anything else that would work for blizz sorc?
@@kage2love again attack power is not a stat at all its just a random value. Starless skies gives you 40% more damage period.

Can anyone confirm if int actually affects ice spikes and/or overall damage whatsoever? Is having high int waste of stats now?
int affects all damage including ice spikes
should I go for cold damage on all rings? or should i go for ice spike damage?
You want to get enough cold damage to max out your frigid fate bonus, which gives you 10% of your cold damage as bonus dmg to vulnerable enemies, up to 30%. Once you hit the 30% bonus make sure the rest are ice spike damage.
I was curious if plus damage on your weapons matters for spikes or not?

that is sad news as it looks cool when the size is big,
but only viabel for the actual blizzard if it usful to max aout bliz and have alot of + blizzard

If ice spike was skill it would get bonus with shako since shako increase damage to all skill
shako does obviously not increase ice spike damage in any way since ice spikes are not a skill which has skill ranks.
I actually feel pretty downed about sorcerer single target dps :S
It is by far the weakest single target class in the game while everyone have decent and even godly aoe AND incredible single target builds .. all our skills are mainly AOE and we try to single target dps via aoe and thats stupid :S
I followed your leveling firewall then swapped to blizzard which was good, but then i wanted more single target and swapped to frozen orb and did all the tempering just to find out that frozen orb does less single target than blizzard build :S
All in all i feel sorcerer is just lacking some legendary aspect or even a core skill or something that can be build towards single target.
We have incredible aoe builds and mediocre single target, i want to be able to build very good single target with just decent aoe for the hardest boss fights :S
Now i am out of tempering tries and i cant even go back to blizzard cause i used my best items for frozen orb build and it is weak even with all the ubers needed and every good tempering its still weak.
I actually feel like sorc is in a pretty decent state right now. It's just all the other classes single target damage is stupidly overtuned. Killing bosses taking 2 minutes fighting is actually a lot of fun for me.
Id rather keep sorc like it is and just tune down all the stupid "infinite" multipliers that literally every class has but sorc :P For sorc all multipliers are pretty much capped at 30% and that's why sorc actually playes like the only "real" class.

@@GoldfarmingGuide I believe Blizzard does it on purpose. They actively change which classes get overtuned to incentivize replayability for the new seasons. They knowingly create the meta.
It's always easy to think people incompetent if you're not aware of the con. Players rush to play that "broken" build thinking they're getting one over on the devs.
