  • @oyomapedro
    @oyomapedro Год назад +3

    I think the song was an amazing blend of two African sounds one that is popular and one that is still indeginous, kcee didn’t do anything different from all the big stars like Davido and co that have fully incorporated amanpiano with into their sounds. The name Ojapiano fully acknowledges and highlights the Afro-fusion. I respect SA and how their sound has taken the world by storm but if they are going to have smoke for Kcee they have to have smoke for Davido, Asake and other non South Africans using their sound as well, which they don’t seem to mind.
    As someone who lives with igbos I can tell you that oja is at the heart of their music.

    What a continent, instead of celebrating
    together. SA should be proud that other
    countries are emulating them, no matter
    what happens SA invented it.
    Can you imagine UK accusing Germany
    that they put their local instrument to pop music and call it any name.
    We should all grow up. There are more
    urgent life and death problems we should be tackling. As for music I think
    the african musicians are doing very
    well . Let us keep it up and work together.

    To be honest I don't think they care. They love their Amapiano too much to pay attention to other forms developing outside. Plus they have many different forms of the genre going on from fast to slow to jazz based vibes.
    Unlike other African countries(more specifically Ghana & Cameroon) always looking over the shoulder of Nigeria because of their own shortfalled music scenes, SA is very secure in their music and is still pushing their music without making noise. They'll be fine.

    Guy putting oja in regular beats is very difficult honestly. Putting oja in any music is hard cos oja kind of takes over the entire beat. Same with the Chinese flute, that why produces do t experiment with it. For this quarrel about who started it first, typically shows you why African have become European fighting over African sound. The purest form of music from nature itself

    KCee is not the one responsible per se. I don’t know why producers don’t get the credit they deserve in Nigeria or even Africa as a whole. Too bad. Let’s give producers their deserved credit. Without them, all the music we hear won’t be the way it is. Jay Synthz to the World. Welldone to KCee too but without his voice, the beat itself is banging!
