Reducer is going to make the clear coat a little bit thinner for spraying but won’t affect thickness in the end. Since there’s more reduced though, it will take a little bit more time to get rid of the solvents left and flash off
Letting the paint “flash” in simple terms basically means your letting the solvents in the material (ie: paint, primer, clear) come out and evaporate into the air, if you don’t let the material flash for long enough in between coats the solvents get trapped in the coats under and start to bubble up on the surface to try to escape.
And don’t listen to the comments on the rust, it was just surface rust it’ll be fine and I’m sure if it needed more attention your guy would’ve taken care of it
Wow can’t believe he sealed the rust in the engine bay… rust isn’t quality show paint job . He needs too sandblast it or soda blast that rust. Rust will come back and now with a vengeance.
