Looking back, Christmas used to seem so much more... Magical. I don't know if it feels less so now because times have changed so much or if I'm simply older but I really hope when I have kids they will remember it being just as magical as I once did.
When I was little up into my early 20s it was magical and then I became a father and it became even more magical again. But then as my kids grew the magic got less and less. Now I have 3 adult kids in thier 20s and a 15 year old. It's just not the same anymore
Because they'll have a mom, and hopefully a dad that want it to be magical for them, it will be! Christmas is such a beautiful, beautiful thing, from its true meaning of the celebration, all the way down to the last strand of tinsel on the tree... And as a child, through which everything is magnified many times in experiencing it anew, it's just like you say, magical! I was blessed to have parents that saw to it that me and my seven brothers and sisters could enjoy it for all it is also, I begin to look forward to it the day after Halloween every year as a result. Thank you Jesus!!! And thank you Rhiannon for your words that exude so much beauty, made my day!
I think the thing I miss the most is the going shopping not point and click. These commercials were designed to get people out shopping for their gifts not isolating at home on a computer and remembering the old days. Being a child of the 1950/60s that was the joy of going to the store and seeing what the advertised piece really looked like in real life then bugging your parents relentlessly to buy it.
Yes!!! On the weekends, a pizza or Chinese takeout, then swinging by Blockbuster or my even bigger favorite, Hollywood video, for a stack of cheesy 80s horror VHS tapes, LOL. I LOVED it.

I watching this video in bed not feeling well and my heart is full of tears. Keep thinking of my family that past and those lovely Xmas memories we had. I miss you guys 😍😍😍😍😍
I just came across this after seeing it was posted 6 years ago. I reminds me of when my kids were little and brings back some wonderful memories. It's too bad that many of these businesses are now gone (Toys R Us, etc.). Thanks for posting.
Everyone thinks of the days of their youth as being simpler times and not overwhelmed with technological monstrosities that have ruined decent society. Go back in time as far as you like. In the 1880s they longed to return to the 1870s, when there were none of those damn telephones.
You can opt out as much as possible. I do not own a cell phone or television set. That eliminated a couple hundred dollars of bills per month. My quality of life is better.
Oh man, I miss the gentle commercials. Now, the ads are at full blast yelling for you to buy, pills or iPhone's, etc. These Christmas ads were the first indication for a child of the1970s that the holidays were here. We may have not have had information at the ready but people seemed a lot nicer back then.
Back in the 70's when I was a kid, Christmas🎄was so magical!✨ When 🎃🎃Halloween👻🎃🎃 ended and November hit, the Christmas catalogs were either here or on their way. All the stores became beacons of lights, trees, blinking and flashing lights everywhere. The air even was different. Everything seemed again MAGICAL! When St.Nicks day came and went tick tock, tick tock, time seemed to slooow to a crawl for a little kid. Christmas🎄holidays were so special. Families always gathered, great food, wonderful people and memories that never happened except on Christmas!🎄 Stores were all fully decorated and had such an incredible ambiance and atmosphere. From K-mart, to Target, Zayre to Treasure Island, and Sears to JC Penny's with their Christmas catalogs again I'm every kids hands. It was a time of dreams. The most fun was Mom taking me out to find Dad a present.🎁 And then Dad taking me out to find Mom a present. Grandpa and Grandma were next. It was so fun looking for gifts for them. But at 6 or 7 they always loved whatever you got them. It was the time leading to the day. The anticipation. That feeling. A feeling words can't explain, words can't describe, or that words can't come close to. It's just magical. Going to ⛪church💒with my Grandparents was always special. That feeling again, can't explain it, it's just amazing. Nowadays though, it seems like most of that magic is gone, lost, or just not around anymore. Christmas was always a commercial explosion, but back then, FAMILIES came first. Now? It's all about 💰money🤑 and greed it seems. Every store wants to be the first to have the best sale. Back them the Day after Thanksgiving was THE DAY. Nowadays it's a week before Thanksgiving, three days before, 1 day before, the day OF, and oh yeah the day after too. It's all become a bigger problem than a special time of year. Also I was told off for saying Merry Christmas. Apparently social justice says I HAVE to say Happy Holidays? 😊 SORRY BUT NO! IT'S CHRISTMAS, AND I WON'T SAY ANYTHING BUT MERRY CHRISTMAS! TAKE YOUR SOCIAL JUSTICE ⚖ AND SEE IF IT FITS IN YOUR AS-SING THOSE SONGS! FOUR PEOPLE MOCKED, THREE FRENCH HORNS, TWO TURTLE HEADS, AND A SOCIAL JUSTICE CLOWN CAN KISS 💋 ASS! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
It was, it was. I think we all agree that's the word that best described it. It was anticipated not out by July where it's not special to kids at all. You didnt have to have a mountain of gifts piled to the ceiling either.
Best times of my life ! These days are over now . The country is divided and full of hatred . I am so glad I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s no we did not have iPhones and iPads like I do now , but it really was better and we had respect for each other and we were a family. We ate breakfast and dinner together. Sundays everything was closed, even the gas stations and our grandparents came over for a big feast my mom made on Sunday , we did not argue at the table but laughed at past times ...BTW! Most of these stores are no longer in business and today Sears officially went out of business
If you mean the first one (at the beginning of this video), back in the 90s I somehow missed it, or don't remember it, thank God--it was ridiculously over-the-top. The ad at 13:25 has the jingle that I remember, although I could've done without the Disney characters popping up towards the end of it.
I used to go to ToyRus for absolutely no other reason than it reminded me of Christmas while a kid. I would have rather Walmart closed other than ToyRus.
like to know where the time went, one minute i'm a young kid & the next minute i'm 46 years old, boy times gose by fast. playing with all my Christmas toys & then i'm paying bills + rent. would love to go back into the 1980's back when I was a young kid again
In the 60’s my daddy and grandmama never wrapped our gifts. When we woke up in the morning our gifts had our names written out in black magic marker. What sweet memories.
I used to love the Toys R us Christmas commercial in the 1970s where it was a cartoon and Geoffrey the Giraffe by the fire place and then one where Santa was sledding in a Gillette electric razor 🎄🎄🎄 I’d see that as a kid and know it’s almost time ..
I still have to look up the Toys R Us commercial every Christmas season, one of my absolute favorites also. SO much nostalgia in it, it ran right there in my prime childhood years from around 5 to 12. Especially powerful now that they're gone, though I keep hearing about them coming back. 🎶"It's the Toys R Us time of yeeear 🎵 Toys R Uuus...."🎶 .... Gets me every time...😁
I am finally realizing that while I absolutely love the 80s, the 90s weren't bad either as far as Christmas commercials go. Will people feel the same about commercials from the 2000's and 20-teens? I wouldn't think so.
And marketed to a certain over-represented segment of the population if you get my meaning. Social engineering/brainwashing is what I see, which is why I don't watch cable or over the air TV anymore. I'm happy just watching these videos and remembering when it was okay being a proud American and being proud and celebrating our American culture. Those days will very sadly soon be gone if current trends continue.
My favorite Christmas commercials were: Hallmark, Fred Meyers, Campbell’s soup, Kleenex soft, Folgers Coffee, Charlie Brown Christmas, glade candles, Campbell’s green bean casserole, Coca Cola polar bears or their truck one, Budweiser, pillsbury dough boy, Hershey’s kisses. Old spice. The Grinch.
I love old Christmas commercials, now days when the commercials come I mute the television. Most Christmas commercials today make me stressed just watching them.
LOL, not just Christmas ads but most ads nowadays are stress-inducing, if for no other reason than being LOUDer than whatever show you're watching at the time.
Those times were so wonderful!!!! I just realized that more than half of those stores aren't even open anymore! My children will never know just how wonderful it was back then, it was truly the best time of my life!!
Pretty sad we're all here because we miss old commercials. T.V mostly sucks now. Commercials for the last several years have been nearly entirely drug-related.
+Frank Carr Pharmaceutical companies (their latest "wonder" drug) and personal injury lawyers--that's about half the ads in my area! Thank God for the "mute" button.
@@not-so-smartaleck8987 Big Pharma is all over TV now. And Luminous silk, which lasts 5 whole minutes! Give me any one of these commercials at 5 minutes and that wouldn't be long enough. Also, one infomercial after another. It's the same ol' same ol'. No originality.
I know, it's so sad. Toys R Us was always the place to go for Christmas toy shopping. Also, just as my sisters and I did my children looked forward to seeing the Toys R Us Christmas Toy Catalog every year and that's no longer going to be around.
Toys R Us will be coming back in a few years, there will just be less stores and geared to being more of an everything store like Toys, Baby stuff and clothes. They just are on hiatus at the moment.
I grew up from mid 80's through the late 90's in new york these commericals bring back memories at least the one's from late 80's all through the 90's I remember
These are all great! I noticed that a lot of the comments are 1 - 5 years ago. These were great years! If you grew up in the 60’s 70’s & 80’s early 90’s there’s just not been anything like it! Even our kids now in their 30’s & 40’s agree!! Again, thank you so much for making these so that many of us from this time era can go back and re-live our experiences if only in our memories!! I hope you keep them running! I watch them throughout the year, not only at Christmas time. TYFS😊
U know I think the reason us 70 and 80s kids find ourselves not belonging and having depression is kinda like the dramatic change between life then and how it is now it’s like 2 different universes for us
I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American. I'm looking for a "Christmas Jingle," and someone might have an idea: In late 1989 (I was in 11th grade), there was a Taco Time commercial, it was mostly instrumental, with a very nice Christmas jingle playing in the background. Then, in late 1998-early 1999, a company called International Jewelers used that SAME Christmas jingle in the background! I know this is a long shot, and you probably have to be in Washington or Oregon to even know what Taco Time is. But, I'm never amazed at what can be pulled up on the internet!
There's just one commercial from my childhood that I _wish_ I could find online, and it's the old animated commercial for Boston Ballet's _The Nutcracker_ from the 1990s. If you're from Mass, you might know the one I'm talking about.
Wow, of the many comments expressing favorites, not a single one for Miller?? The extreme few that don't do anything to attempt to push their product deserve special recognition, this is one. Those that are actually able to say "merry Christmas" do also, this does. But the sheer beauty of it, the embodiment of the Christmas spirit, an excellent version of "I'll Be Home for Christmas", and the tradition of it that was established from running some 40 years or so....how did y'all overlook it?
A lot of people aren't into beer, and those of us who are mostly prefer other (bet-ter) brands. How can you have an ad where the company "do(es)n't do anything to attempt to push their product"? That doesn't make sense. To me, it's understand-able why ads these days don't say "Merry Christmas" explicitly, since not everyone celebrates Christmas. Most of us aren't old enough to remember, or frankly don't care about, 40 years of tradition for a Christmas beer ad. (You also don't point out where, in this hour-long video, the ad is played, so we can find it easily.)
@@not-so-smartaleck8987 , wow I appreciate your thorough answer! However, that you haven't even seen it, and need to still look at it certainly suggests that you could see what a great commercial it is... There's still hope! 😁 It's at 32:47. I'm not into beer either, Jesus delivered me from alcoholism as a matter of fact, but since no beer is even shown in the commercial, that's largely irrelevant to the quality of it. So if you prefer a different brand you can't appreciate this commercial? Smart aleck, that's pretty picky! You asked, "how can you have an ad that doesn't push their product?" Look at the commercial, and you'll see! The product is not shown, it's not mentioned, only the name of the company in a quick blurb at the very end where they say "the people at Miller high Life wish you a Merry Christmas." Since these are Christmas commercials, that should be a plus. Should be... I guess to you it's not though, to each his own... It's true not everybody celebrates Christmas, but can they be intellectually honest in acknowledging that they are depicting, representing, and profiting off of the holiday that is Christmas by mentioning it, their vehicle to big moolah?? To me that's far more respectable. By the way, 92% of all people celebrate Christmas. Hopefully you're not suggesting we be so PC as to accommodate 8% to the detriment of the 92. Ridiculous. Forgive me, but you simply cannot speak for who is the majority that knows this commercial since you don't even know when it ran. It ran from about 1971 on through into the early 00s(forgive me, about 30 years). That would make the majority familiar with it, for the record. I appreciate your response, truly, I hope you had a good Christmas... If you celebrated it... 😬
At 41:08 they always showed a Charlie Brown Christmas and a Garfield Christmas together. It's a shame that they never showed a Garfield Christmas after 2000 which is a shame considering there were two Garfield movies and another Garfield TV show was made. So it's about time they brought the special back.
I've often wondered if as children, we're born with a sort of magic within, whereas the impossible is possible. Part of having broad imaginations, I guess. It seems the older we get, a part of us longs for those feelings of joy and wonder we once had during our youth. That's why we find ourselves looking up old holiday commercials, so we can try and feel even a glimmer of the magic we once felt as children. When I was a kid, my mom, step-dad, two siblings and I would get bundled up in a 2 door Pontiac Grand Am Coupe and we'd drive around different subdivisions in Corbin, KY, and we'd look at the vastly decorated Holiday displays. Before one particular neighborhood, which was by far the most decorated, on the right before we'd turn in, every Christmas there was a house where stood a row of Nut Crackers the size of man. What a time we lived in, where something so simple became a cherished memory. Thereafter, when we got home, we'd unwind as we'd watch Christmas specials on the television. But ya know, years later, it seemed as though ppl didn't take the same initiative. Holiday displays became less and less, and holiday shopping became a hassle, especially if it were last minute. I can deal with the packed stores and the long lines, but leave it to the human species to be so hostile. It's a shame, really. But I do recall - I had the same debate with myself as to what had changed so much over time. Did times change, was it just the particular location at which we lived back then, where the town went all out for the Holidays, or did everything as a child seem drastically more extravagant as opposed to how we may perceive things as an adult? Truth be told, I think times changed. During two decades of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas... they've lost the effect they once had. You can see it in the advertisments. The values we once had seem almost irrelevant in comparison to the most recent Holiday television ads. The past few Holidays, I've noticed change where there's been a sacrifice of original values, of course at the expense someone out there may be offended. Ha, God knows in this day and era, it doesn't take much to do just that. I reminisce, when advertisements consisted of God, family values, everything that makes a house a home, a sense of community, traditions that brought people together, whether it family or the community which you lived in. God aside, these things seem outdated. Again, I wonder... maybe we come here to remember what Christmas use to be, before every young entitled kid looked for reasons be offended, no matter how trivial the supposed offense. Perhaps they've ruined this era in which we live, so we long for old times and it's simplicity and appreciation. Give me a time machine!!!!!!
The last commercial in this compilation is just…the perfect one to finish it. It’s a more recent version of this ad (it’s widescreen), but it’s still a beautiful way to finish this compilation.
What breaks my heart is watching American culture being destroyed and replaced before our eyes. These magical Christmas moments will be gone forever, unless we put our feet down and put a stop to it.
@@Goonies-xh3qr blech. American culture? These are corporate advertisements that we remember fondly because of associations we made as children. Yeah nostalgia gives us feel good vibes, but the "good old days" were not so great for large swaths of people. This is not culture, this is kitsch. What are you so damn scared of?
@@ghostnote-6 Spoken like a true devout CRT cultist. What are YOU afraid of? Sick of people canceling everything because it is too white for them. But I guess you prefer to watch unrealistic diversity scenarios non-stop and all the endless big pharma commercials. Madison Ave. is devoid of any creativity or maybe their hands are just tied by the diversity/cancel cult.
@@ghostnote-6 And why is it you think everyone else is entitled to their culture except for Americans? Our past is part of our culture and it is celebrated through tradition. But if it doesn't pass the CRT diversity cultist litmus test, it's suddenly a 'dark time for our country'. The fact that you say blech to American culture is sickening. Please tell us all whose culture reigns supreme in your world. I am still watching these commercials on loop to avoid the propaganda freak show that currently passes for television.
@@Goonies-xh3qr ahahahaha. Man, you just proved everything I assumed about you to be correct. CRT? Oh god, please bring up white genocide next. You're almost there. What am I scared of? The people that decry identity politics while blathering identity politics out the other side of their mouth. The people so scared of change that they're willing to tear everything down around them to prevent any kind of progress. The people that can't argue a point without bringing in strawmen or completely misrepresenting an issue in order to make their side seem reasonable. The people that clearly don't even understand the issues that they're railing against. The people that only care about what they're told to care about, and you can even tell what entertainment host they got their talking points from just by the language they use. People that weaponize nostalgia, pretend the older days were better for everyone and not just themselves, and pretend that every new thing they don't like is somehow and attack on tradition and culture. The hypocrites that complain how divided things are while getting all their "news" from Facebook, OAN and Fox. The hypocrites that scream about cancel culture, while doing the exact same thing to any person or group that says or does anything they don't like, as has always ben done. The hypocrites that don't even care about the truth because it's all a game of one-upsmanship to them. Anything goes. Ends justifies the means. The utterly shameless hypocrites scare me. I didn't "blech" American culture, I bleched your childish 'War on Christmas'-like take. There are tons of aspects of American culture worth bleching though, just as in any culture. Not everything is good and great and worthy of celebration, and if you can't acknowledge that then you probably have trouble accepting many truths in this life. Nobody is taking away your traditions, or ability to celebrate Christmas. NOBODY CARES ABOUT CHRISTMAS COMMERCIALS AND PROGRAMS. You wanna watch Rudolph or Charlie Brown? Well then watch them! Who cares? If they're not on TV as often, that's probably a rights issue, not because of public outcry. You've seemingly built up this idea that there is a whole side of the political spectrum that wants to cancel Christmas, take away all your guns, blacklist Dr. Seuss, make all your children gay... I'm not sure what else to include because I don't know how far down the conspiracy rabbit hole you've gone. Newsflash - none of that is true. If you're not happy with Christmas commercials (of all things) as they are now, well, blame Capitalism I guess! As you know, corporations are all about making that money. You seem to think companies are terrified of the outrage of the nebulous WOKE MOB, when in reality they craft their advertisements to appeal to the most amount of people possible. Libs don't give a toss about most of the things you think they do. To answer your question, no culture reigns supreme. It's not a competition in anyone's head except you and the the people that groupthink like you. Criticism and acknowledgment need not be considered an attack or repudiation, but rather a necessary part of a functioning society.
Things as you can see were more innocent and anticipated. These commercials didnt start in July like they do now. Everything about how they look, sound and were narrated evoke a time of joy and respect for the season.
51:10 A commenter under a different (similar) YT video, having this same Burger King ad in it, stated that 3 of the young lady singers in the ad were Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elisabeth Shue and Lea Thompson. (I can't tell who's who, though)
Dang! $9.29 for a chicken set? Wish we had those type of prices today...that same chicken bucket would cost now about $26! You wouldn't even be able to get a 1 piece for $10 these days!!!! Inflation sucks!!!!
These were great, thanks. I've been looking for one in particular that doesn't seem to exist anywhere anymore, I'm hoping one of you have it somewhere, I'd give anything to see it...it's from Hills Department Store from the early 80s. It depicts a kind of misty silhouette of the wise men approaching the manger, with a voiceover that says something to the effect..."before there were lights to decorate, there was a single star guiding 3 men on their journey. This year, before you open your gifts, open your heart to Him." I'm botching that pretty bad I'm sure, but the only way you even know it's a Hills commercial is that their logo appears in the corner for about the last 4 seconds. Profoundly moving to see a company NAIL the true meaning of Christmas like they did. It makes my eyes well up just thinking about it. Has anyone seen it?

Drop me off in the 70's and leave me there.
Pick me up along the way, please.
God 34 years old and damn this video makes me upset. Somebody drop me back off in the 90s when the world wasn't so dang high tech and data driven.
You mean the 60's ??
Everyone thinks of the days of their youth as being simpler times and not overwhelmed with technological monstrosities that have ruined decent society. Go back in time as far as you like. In the 1880s they longed to return to the 1870s, when there were none of those damn telephones.
@NaghaviSystem I know right? I'm 38 and I remember going online ect. In the 90s.
Ok.Cheer up!😮 Don't be so bitter.
The norelco Santa commercial. We used to wait for it at Christmastime.
Little Corey Feldman in the McDonalds gift certificate commercial. Love that one.
Lol. At about 23 minutes in “give a blood pressure meter”. Yup. That’s what everyone wants for Xmas !
These commercials sure made me smile. 😊❤
Me to
Cried too.
Exactly 😂💪👍🇺🇸🙏🏼
It was, it was. I think we all agree that's the word that best described it. It was anticipated not out by July where it's not special to kids at all. You didnt have to have a mountain of gifts piled to the ceiling either.
Why they were so good-Family oriented and it’s simplicity that just made you feel like all was ok….
I love watching holiday season ads from the 1990s.
Ah Target. Fondly remembering when it used to cater for elves and not just fairies.
These videos truly make me miss everyone I’ve lost from my childhood
Best times of my life ! These days are over now . The country is divided and full of hatred . I am so glad I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s no we did not have iPhones and iPads like I do now , but it really was better and we had respect for each other and we were a family. We ate breakfast and dinner together. Sundays everything was closed, even the gas stations and our grandparents came over for a big feast my mom made on Sunday , we did not argue at the table but laughed at past times ...BTW! Most of these stores are no longer in business and today Sears officially went out of business
* so true!!! Couldn’t have said it better .. I loved growing up at that time..❤️🎄
Same!
Well said. I miss those days.
Yes...they were best times ever! I wish I could go back. :(
I wish I lived in the 90 and 80s
That Coca-Cola ad was THE Christmas commercial of the 90's.
Absolutely .
Well, they are back, but not the famous commercial.
like to know where the time went, one minute i'm a young kid & the next minute i'm 46 years old, boy times gose by fast. playing with all my Christmas toys & then i'm paying bills + rent. would love to go back into the 1980's back when I was a young kid again
This was back in the day when you were still allowed to use the word Christmas in a commercial.
A Christmas Story commercial before the marathon airing on Christmas Eve started.
Just love it!
2020...wishing I could go back 😭
That wasn't that long ago 😅
In the 60’s my daddy and grandmama never wrapped our gifts. When we woke up in the morning our gifts had our names written out in black magic marker. What sweet memories.
I used to love the Toys R us Christmas commercial in the 1970s where it was a cartoon and Geoffrey the Giraffe by the fire place and then one where Santa was sledding in a Gillette electric razor 🎄🎄🎄 I’d see that as a kid and know it’s almost time ..
Yes. I loved them too.
Don't forget the Stetson commercial and that song!
Oh my gosh the Gillette Santa one. I forgot about that one!!! And the “I’d like to buy the world a coke” one.
I still have to look up the Toys R Us commercial every Christmas season, one of my absolute favorites also. SO much nostalgia in it, it ran right there in my prime childhood years from around 5 to 12. Especially powerful now that they're gone, though I keep hearing about them coming back.
🎶"It's the Toys R Us time of yeeear 🎵
Toys R Uuus...."🎶 .... Gets me every time...😁
I just love Vintage!
I go hard
Thank you for the memories that were long lost, but not forgotten. ❤️
I am finally realizing that while I absolutely love the 80s, the 90s weren't bad either as far as Christmas commercials go. Will people feel the same about commercials from the 2000's and 20-teens? I wouldn't think so.
My mom remembers the Noelco commercial from when she was a little girl. 😀📺❤
I love these they’re so warm and we don’t have this representation now but few of these shown are very retro and a lot of 90's ones.
I wish they would bring back the Charlie Brown Kraft Macaroni and Cheese! I loved it as a kid.
Christmas commercials used to have a lot of heart, now they're soulless corporate mockery.
Old spice. The Grinch.
Coca cola and Budweiser Christmas commercials were like Superman just became real. They were the unsung heroes of Christmas.
@@not-so-smartaleck8987 Amen!👍🏻
Those times were so wonderful!!!! I just realized that more than half of those stores aren't even open anymore! My children will never know just how wonderful it was back then, it was truly the best time of my life!!
I miss circuit city and best buy
Pretty sad we're all here because we miss old commercials. T.V mostly sucks now. Commercials for the last several years have been nearly entirely drug-related.
Yeah that or someone being sued
I agree with you. It is Very sad.
+Frank Carr Pharmaceutical companies (their latest "wonder" drug) and personal injury lawyers--that's about half the ads in my area! Thank God for the "mute" button.
@@not-so-smartaleck8987
Big Pharma is all over TV now. And Luminous silk, which lasts 5 whole minutes!
Give me any one of these commercials at 5 minutes and that wouldn't be long enough.
Also, one infomercial after another. It's the same ol' same ol'. No originality.
Drugs or how you can sue the ones making the drugs!!! Depressing
Makes me sad to see the Toys R us commercials, and it closed down this year :/
Me too. It's sad to pass the empty store.
@@judidipillo4337 yes sad . They had a great selection of coloring books .
@@evanwilliams6406They are back now 😊
Thank you for taking the time to find these and also for sharing with us. Merry Christmas in August and all year 'round.
Oh god 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I must be getting old if commercials I grew up watching are now considered vintage or retro!!
Some of these ads are after 2000... I don't consider them vintage or retro unless they go back at least to the 1980s, preferably earlier than that.
I remember gift certificates. Now everything is gift cards.
I've found a few places still do gift certificates, mainly mom & pop stores.
@@doylescordy Yeah . Gift certificates are still around . You can email them to just about anywhere .
I'd rather have a gift card than a gift cert (for a local store, anyway), it's easier to carry in your wallet.
To each his or her own...I enjoy both
4:44 love these old bumpers
Thank you for making me feel warm, cozy, safe, and loved🙏🏽❤️✨
Loved the Coca Cola Lorry, made Christmas so much more exciting.
In America, it's called a truck or tractor trailer. 😅
TYFS😊
Surprising how many of these companies are gone in 2021. I miss the ol days ,but dont we all.
(0:15) I love the Coca-Cola Christmas commercials!!!
It's my personal favorite Christmas commercial.
I hope they'll play it again this Christmas.
Now I know why I crave cheese & cracker boards every Christmas. It was probably all of the commercials brain washing me,lol
😂
Better times….Great memories behind these commercials!😊😊. Thanks for posting these
That Kodak commercial gets me every time.......(eyes waterin')
When my mind was innocent and life was so good.... even with the bad times
Love seeing the defunct stores' commercials.
So very true , nothing is as it used to be and a part of me misses it desperately
You already had me with commercial #1
Lol
The last commercial in this compilation is just…the perfect one to finish it. It’s a more recent version of this ad (it’s widescreen), but it’s still a beautiful way to finish this compilation.

Back when life was easy
