as someone who uses sunfire jean quite a lot (though a different team) its INSANELY fun and i do recommend it! i think its best against bosses and its not very good in the overworld (unless u have insane er) but its fun and this is a video game and that's what matters :)
what team do you use?
If you add Raiden into the equation you won't need to worry, I think? I use Jean-Bennett-Xingqiu-Raiden on abyss spiral often, and it cycles with little to no downtime. Granted, I kinda built Jean and Bennett into ER, they're around 140 ER.
@@sajazablah4339 i use raiden, ayato, jean, bennett 👍 ayato instead of xingqiu because hes a good dps when raiden doesn't have her burst up

8:51 he actually done it wrong, cuz you need to stand in jean and bennet circles. Bennet applies pyro and jean swirls it from YOUR character, providing even more reaction

@@imuseless5776 yeah, because the team is even MORE broken than it seems. I cleared 9, 10 abyss for 9 stars using 90 jean 70 bennet 60 raiden (bad artifacts) and 70 fischl with no sweat and with lots of fun

Hella sus, why is it stronger swirling off your character than swirling off each other?
You can try the Sunfire Overvape, with Raiden as main DPS, Jean/Xingqiu/Bennett in support. Same setup as sunfire, you ult Bennett, ult Jean, ult Xingqiu and Raiden and you just spam. It shred big ennemies that are not sent away by overcharge. You can try 4p VV for Jean to help decrease the pyro/electro/hydro res for even more damage.
I used this in the abyss and holy cow when you get the hang of it, you'll shred the enemies easily. It's a good alternative when you don't wanna use Rational

Sunfire can also be used for melt, people like it with Ganyu since she struggles melting her whole kit, and Jean's Q has really strong and fast pyro application on top of her VV + healing.

@@gyradosgo8137 Sara C6 is good since it'll up Raiden's Damage, but without Xingqiu, there is no overcharge nor vaporize, so you lose a lot of elemental reactions
Jean is honestly one of the best standard characters imo. She’s a good support and has barely left my team since I got her in my first ten pull!

I agree, most people would say Mona. But, she is only good in a few teams and jean is generally more versatile. And Jean is a way more consistent character than Mona ( especially with constolations)
Yea I only built her recently but I like her a lot. Not meta because she doesn't have unique buffs like kazuha or Bennett, but does the VV + healer roles pretty well freeing up slots for other supports.

Gamer fact: the sunfire team is based on a league of legend's item called sunfire cape, it has a same mechanic as sunfire team that has fire aoe besides to your character.
Kinda in the same vein, but maybe Sunfire National?(Jean, Bennet, Raiden, Xinqui)
There is also Sunfire Melt(Jean, Bennet, Ganyu, Zhongli) in this melt team you can actually use Ganyu’s burst without your melts being stolen because of the fast pyro application.
Might be cool comps for you to try out :)
hi if u dont mind me asking, which one would be a better team comp for 12-2-2? sunfire national or sunfire melt? i have all of the characters u mentioned and im thinking of using jean and bennett together in 12-2-2 but idk which other two membets i should use with them. thanks in advance! ^_^

Why zhongli in the sunfire melt? :0 doesnt the team have 2 healers thus a shield is unnecessary?
@@juliuscaesar4126 because it makes use of the same characters and replacing the flex slot. You still use the core of Bennett, Xiangling and Xingqiu
@@juliuscaesar4126 National team refers to Xiangling, Xingqiu, and Bennett which are the strongest 4-stars in the game along with one other character.
Originally it was Chongyun but along the course of time the last spot was always flexible (i. e. Sucrose, Raiden, Kazuha, etc.) but the name national team usually refers to the 4-stars mentioned above! ^^

@@Shotzy64 The mechanics of sunfire Jean is by swirling Bennett's pyro application on yourself to others through Jean's burst (since Jean applies Anemo gauge onto the characters inside her burst), so swapping Bennett for Ayato in the hopes that you'll swirl as many Hydro to the pyro Lectors is not much different than just using Ayato himself since he doesn't apply Hydro to himself.

@@aperson6562 not really, barbara doesn't apply hydro to the on-field character anywhere near as fast as bennett does pyro. you could maybe get a few swirls per jean's burst, which isn't a lot

The fact that he does not even have a EM Build on Venti and Kazuha and a Lvl 9 Bennett Burst and still managed to outperform the Diluc comp, mann Sunfire is actually insane

C6 Bennett is not as bad as people make it, and is really helpful when running 2 cryo 2 pyro

I think i may just rebuild my own jean.
I call this comp a „Circle of death” and basically I play Jean, Bennett, Ganyu and Venti to suck enemies or Lisa because I don’t have Ayato. I use their ults in one place and they destroy everything inside of the circle. To make it more effective I reccomend using Kazuha or Venti
Tuonto's Jean is one of the main reason I have the dedication to built and max Jean
Tuonto: uses sunfire jean
Also Tuonto: goes out of bennets ult and lets kazuha and ventis ult swirl effectively making jean useless since shes not swirling

As someone who’s been using sunfire Jean in abyss since…. I started abyss, I can confidently say that it’s fantastic! I use Jean, Xiangling, Kazuha, Bennett
That awkward moment when you realise that you've been playing sunfire jean without even realizing it:

The reason why it works is because Bennett applies pyro to characters within his burst and Jean applies anemo to characters within her burst so it swirls the characters within both bursts(It scales off elemental mastery and won’t hurt the characters being swirled). It also works with Kazuha, though it’s less consistent and doesn’t swirl as many times during the duration of Bennett’s burst, however it can be just as good due to Kazuha’s elemental mastery scaling elemental damage bonus.
1)Sunfire is only Jean and Bennet duo, other anemo characters paired with him aren't called sunfire
2)Sunfire is not for the rough damage, it is used to create a lot of statuses for some comps(reverse melt Ganue, for example) or to break elemental shields(you break shields because of elemental statuses, not because of your damage). So this duo is used in parties with other charachters.
It's also used to overvape since your vaporizes and overloads will use Jean's EM

if you're looking for jean comp, another one is raiden-sunfire over- vape. it's basically a soup of reactions with usual bennet jean sunfire and xinqiu and raiden.
I saw a vid about Jean sunfire a few days ago and I decided to try it with Ayato. I'm not sure if it works well but it's so fun, and now that you brought to my attention that it's this strong I'm definitely going to use it more

I’ve been using Jean and Bennett combo for rlly long time against electro abyss heralds in abyss and its rlly helpful saves me a lot of time
I tried a variant I call Sunfire: Rain with Ayato, Jean, Kazuha and Venti and it’s really good considering my characters aren’t fully built. So I wonder how good this team would be if Tuonto tried it out
ohhh thank you! ive never heard of sunfire jean before too. this was actually very helpful for me since im struggling a bit in floor 12 where they put like 3 abyss heralds. (i forgot which chamber it was). and i didnt manage to fully star that chamber. well to be fair, my characters are not that strong either and i have limited time to play genshin. so, definitely gonna try this team comp later.
this is such a fun team im glad that jake is trying it out !! ive used this team with ganyu / raiden in the fourth slot, raiden is esp fun bc using her ult recharges everyone else's ult and the fun keeps on going

the way ti works is that benett ult applies pyro to himself, and jean ult apllies anemo to herself, so someoen standing in the middle of both will swirl pyro on themself.
i love sunfire jean, been using it with ayato a lot! two of my fave ayato comps are sunfire variations. raiden + ayato, xiangling + ayato. makes it easy for reactions to happen but also keep you safe and unkillable

Sunfire Jean is used when you want to apply Pyro an enemy. Ex for these is using ganyu in Sunfire Jean will make every charged attack of her melt. Also you need to stand in the circle for Jean burst to swirl it

Oh, so like the team I use to remove the Abyss Lector’s shield (Jean Burst and Bennett Burst)
it can do that but it can also get a shit load of reactions out. bc pyros constantly there, you can constantly melt/vaporize/overload. sunfire overvape is a very strong team where you basically have 4 different reactions all happening at once (electrocharged, vape, overload, swirl).

9:09 Diona and Lisa burst comes to mind, both their burst deals AoE.
For abyss lectors, i use venti, jean, bennet, and thoma. Venti's burst can't lift them but it can pull them together, and thoma for shield, pyro resonance, and extra pyro application.
as a jean main, i love love LOVE sunfire jean against those abyss lector chambers! i have to remember to preserve hers and benny’s bursts though, which isn’t always easy. otherwise i won’t be able to gain enough energy to break down the shield when it comes up

I use a different variation of sunfire team (raiden,xingqiu,bennett,and of course jean). Basically raiden acts as onfield dps here and xingqiu applies hydro
a good team comp i’ve used is xiao is main dps, bennett as buffer/healer, jean as support, and zhongli for shield and burst dps, i use this team as one of my main teams and in spiral!! i don’t know if you wanted more team comps that use jean as support but i highly recommend this team comp ^_^ the way i stack it is zhongli ult, bennett ult, jean ult, then xiao ult!! also the thumbnail for the video is amazing and very eye catching another great vid :)

Omg I didn't know there was a name for this!! I've been doing this since... forever 😅 I use Benny's ult, jeans ult, and then xiao in the middle to wreck house. It just constantly applies pyro and xiao destroys everything in the center. I just add a pyro user for the Resonance and I'm done.

I was the same until a couple weeks ago (though I haven't been playing nearly as long as 2 years). I got Jean in the standard banner, then her c1 after just 21 more pulls! I hope you can get her soon too!
I’ve actually been using a team similar to sunfire with my Jean. I use Jean, Sucrose, Childe, and Kazuha. Childe works as a hydro support with how I built him, but the only other hydro character I use is Kokomi. So I used a swirl team with him instead. I focused Jean on healing and attack, Sucrose on elemental mastery, Childe on elemental mastery and attack, and Kazuha on attack. It works really well.

I actually build the opposite... instead of Sunfire Jean, I made "Frozen Heart" Jean to break electro lector's shield by using Jean, Rosaria & Shenhe ults lol (cuz I liked using mommy squad)
but thats mean jean ult would be swirling electro from the lector shield right? since i dont think rosaria or shenhe apply cyro to the character, but i guess that works as well since cyro break electro pretty fast too

Sunfire Jean is really fun, mostly make a team with Miko, Xingqiu, Jean and Bennett. This abyss rotation I tryed Ayato, Venti, Jean and Bennett and it was so easy to get the 36 star.

Oh, I tried that before, didn't know it's a trend. But I add a electrocharge duo (Childe/Raiden usually) to Benny/Jean, I can use VV advantage for the 3 elements and with hydro and electro auras don't deleting themselves with the electrocharge reaction, pyroswirls can proc reactions too.

So I have been doing this for a long time (cuz i use jean and bennet for xiao) , but i never knew it was called as sunfire jean and it was a thing. im glad its getting recognized and everybody is finally trying this out cuz its pretty helpful especially in breaking shields of heralds in the abyss.
my fav variation is fire storm....jean, bennet, fischl, and kokomi/ayato. all elements naturally occurred in a storm (water, wind and electric) w fire.
wow once my ayato and fischl are built im gonna play that, it sounds so fun!

Xiao, Chongyun (preferably c2), Zhongli and Jean
Xiao is the dps with his plunge attack dealing aoe anemo damage and chongyun's elemental skill lowers his ult recharge time. Zhongli for shield obviously and Jean is sub dps/battery for for Xiao

Jean Vaporize team
Diluc, Xinqiu, Xiangling and Jean
Basically Diluc triggers vaporize using Xingqiu's hydro application. Xiangling is there for pyro resonance and for extra damage and Jean swirls with the Venerer Set to reduce the enemies pyro res

i literally tried sunfire jean comps last night and looked up this exact video… he read my mind
it works with anemo traveler, jean, and kazuha in decreasing order of effectiveness if i remember correctly. it only works with anemo characters who can swirl their own elemental status
honestly just how much tuonto loves jean is almost equal to how much i love the kamisato household and venti (which is a lot)

sunfire theorycrafter here, the team is usually utilized as a core for pyro application with a pyro-reactor dps, so more efficient teams would be jean + bennet core with melt ganyu, core with ayato/childe, or core with raiden + yoimiya for overload :) also, venti won’t do much for that team since he has a tendency to auto-aim from a distance and does not swirl from the elements he is affected by, meaning that his tornado will be away from the bennet/jean ults and may not absorb pyro most times.

You have to have Jean and Bennett because they keep cleansing and re-applying eachothers elements that's why it works
