This was really cool, but also very stressful to watch! I am scared of heights, especially on rickety old structures like this. I am VERY GLAD you didn't go any higher than that, when I saw all that corroded metal on the platform I was praying you wouldn't try to go higher as some of that old metal looks like it wouldn't be able to support any weight whatsoever without disintegrating into dust. That old water tower had to have been originally built 100 or more years ago, and can't be at all sturdy or safe to be climbing like that. I'm glad you are ok, and didn't get hurt!!!

Yeah, I like how the floor was rusted out in spots on the second level around the tank. And think of going all the way to the top. I guess guys had to do it when the plant was operating.

WHAT?! OMG... I get nervous climbing to the top rung of a 6 foot ladder. Don't know how you did this. For me, scarier going down than going up.... but both causing heart palpitations -- just to watch you do this. All of us LordEx followers are now breathing again.

Not even a safety cage around the ladder! I wonder if there ever was one?

Nerves of steel. I wonder how many climbed that tower as routine maintenance when the plant was operating? No such thing as OSHA.

    Wow that was cool
I thought they were on the process of demolishing the plant or maybe I’ve got that mistaken with Hudson plant

This was filmed a couple years ago. Unsure on the status of the plant

It's being demolished but they haven't gotten to the tower yet. Don't know if it will be taken down. Some of the plant is being preserved as an historical site.

I'm glad most of the buildings are still intact, I'm hoping to visit Detroit this summer and check out the plant before they demolish it...

Unsure on its current status, this was in 2022. I went in 2023 and most every building was still there. Best of luck

Nerves of steel. Imagine the guys who had to go up there for maintenance and repairs when the plant was operating. Imagine painting it! No safety cage on the ladder. Maybe there used to be one. And you can go all the way to the peak! No thanks.
