I always explain away the bad graphics in the multi-AgentSmith fight by thinking that the matrix has a hard time rendering that area with Smiths + Neo having a fight that bends all the rules of the Matrix.
Just like when Neo flexes, the walls warp.
The fighting animations really remind me of Blade 2 which in turn remind me of Mortal Kombat finishers. I have a suspicion that there was definitely some overlap between the industries and that animation style has fully transitioned into gaming and largely left films.
Also fun fact - they actually built that highway in the middle of nowhere for that freeway chase scene. It's wild.
Also, the Animatrix is very cool if you love the world building aspect.

You need to watch the anime "The Animatrix". 9 animated shorts. Ones a prequel to this film about the kid that wants to join the Nebuchadnezzer, another shows the war between man and machines before the matrix was created. They're the 2 I remember but been years since I watched it. It is a good addition to the live action movies though as it fleshes out the story more.

I was in like 5th grade when this came out and I was in martial arts at the time, and so the fight scene in the mansion with all the weapons is my favorite scene in the trilogy. Neo with the sword always looks so dope to me

The first 2 sequels, I agree with you but latest one was a complete waste of time imho.
This movie including the continuation, they are basically one movie is so fun and anime its out of control. even the new spiderverse movie basically ripped it off and why it so damn awesome.
Check out “The Animatrix” when you get a chance. It connects this with the first more and gives a good back story of the Machines and a few of the new characters, including The Kid.

11:55 I think the best solution to the age problem in congress is to create a term break system. After serving 2 terms, they have to take a 1 term break out of office. It would open up more opportunities for younger candidates. Also, it would make some improvement to the problem of incumbent advantages in elections.

That super high tech "space hub" is in the construct, the training program used in the first Matrix where Morpheus explained what I the Matrix is and what the real world is like, also when they got guns to go save Morpheus.

The Animatrix is a good piece of canon to check out of you interested in this universe
Love it. So many people dislike the rest of the trilogy. The first movie is great stand alone "superhero" movie. The sequels continue the story and show us that The One isn't a superhero, that there's a lot more going on than we first thought.
The burly brawl, or whatever it was called, was top notch visual effects at the time. It looks bad now, but it didn't get any better when this was released!
The reason the for old congresspeople is two-fold.
1) it's definitely the money and the fear of running out of it
And
2) the different outside interests that benefit from giving them that money has more than enough dirt to keep them in check.
So the problem becomes they can't leave their job because of the lifestyle they live will have to be cut back, and the dirt on them keeps them voting the way they do.
Most like the first the most. Many really hated this one because they said there was to much talking and the seen with the Architect was "confusing", I didn't find it that way though. The forth movie....now that's a terrible movie. I just pretend it didn't come out. Also you should REALLY check out the Animatrix. A series of shorter stories in one package. All different styles of animating by different people. Adds a ton of backstory and lore. Many never knew about it for some reason. I still own Animatrix on DVD.

I appreciate you pointing out the flaws in the filming. But let's just appreciate that Keanu Reeves sacrificed ever penny he made on this movie, and revolutions to make sure the trilogy was finished.

I actually didn't like this one very much. It's ok, but my favorite part is DEFINITELY the architect. You can tell the Wachowski's either have programming knowledge and/or experience because of the architect. In programming, everything that has a start has an ending. If it doesn't, it becomes cyclical and crashes the computer. According to the architect, this was the 7th cycle this program had performed which was testing different parameters. "While each anomaly was accounted for with a general love for it's kind, your experience is far more specific vis a vis; love." Each cycle is testing a different parameter. Every program has their opposite process as well e.g. start and finish, Neo and Smith, The architect and the oracle, The Merovingian and Seraph. Basically what the architect was trying to do was balance the matrix's programming with human will's choices. As we don't have mechanical brains, we tend to be illogical which needs to be balanced with logical reaction within the mechanical world.
Could you please make it even more transparent and your logo even bigger? Because we still can somewhat guess what you'er watching.

The Wachowskis are great at dialog that *sounds* cool as long as you don't think too hard about what anyone is actually saying.

"Hunting," "seeking," "killing," "searching," and "destroying" are FIVE THINGS!!!!! Even if hunting, seeking, and searching are all the same, and killing and destroying are the same, that's still AT LEAST TWO things! A guillotine is a "killing machine." If it could actually chase down victims, that would be a serious upgrade.
I agree! Congress should be filled with people that will live through the decisions they make. I agree wholeheartedly about your assessment about the older generation needing to resign from so many positions of power. Not sure if you caught it, but when Neo meets the Architect, and they’re talking about the ruination of Zion, The Architect shows Neo on the screens that Neo has been here before. Showing him all the times he had been there, and how their interactions went.
Earlier in the film when The Merovingian keeps talking about Neos “predecessors”, and how he survived them, he’s telling Neo, in a sense “I’ve beaten you before, and I will do it again.”
Remember The Merovingian is one of the oldest programs in the matrix.
Really wish we could actually see some of the movie... ⬛
