NYC/MTA Bus: Scrap Buses at Eastchester Depot 4/28/16

Here, we take a look around the MTA's Eastchester Depot, where retired buses sit awaiting scrap. Various types of buses can be seen in this montage, including Orion Vs, NovaBus RTS, and MCI 102DLW3SS/D4500. You can also see a single 1999-2000 New Flyer C40LF, which is likely the only one remaining on property. Although it appears in poor shape, it could be slated for preservation.

I really hope a 99-00 C40LF gets preserved for the transit museum. They were a bus that made Brooklyn somewhat stand out fleet-wise not to mention i practically grew up with them since it's delivery

the 9000 rts are the last of the wedge brake rts's. sad to see em go but there past there lifespan by many years and needed alottt of work.

New flyer buses 942 and 978 are saved. used to train Mta police k9 dogs

Greig Huang before mci D4500 it was named 102 DL3 from 1993-2000 and then 2000-2003 D4500 commuter coaches with the dd series 60 engines or Cummins diesel engines with the B500 Allison automatic transmission in new Jersey we currently have both types of mci commuter coaches from 1996 -2006 from 102 D3 & DL3 buses witch they retired from the service in 2013 and the D4000&d4500 commuter coaches are next to replace by the new mci D4500 commuter coaches with the Cummins ISX12 engines with the WB 500 R gen V Allison automatic transmissions the CNG powered mci buses are already in service and now in Atlantic county we got the hybrid mci commuter coaches 4008 -44 series with the Cummins ISL 9 engines with the Allison hybrid setup some drivers like the hybrids others don't they prefer the 16000 -2000s series more with the seat belts the hybrids and the CNG powered nj transit buses standee cap 0 the diesel powered nj transit buses standee cap 10 and the 2007 -2011 mci commuter coaches standees 15 just like the older D4500 buses the D4000 commuter coaches standees 23

To be honest the NYC/MTA scrap buses look better than Cleveland's RTA active revenue bus fleet, that is in service right now.
