chetrok1 1989 riding my Ripper bones deck Down to the local shithole to see some band called Nirvana, straight edge we weren't even smoking weed!! I even think I had a set of tracker trucks on my deck at that time hahaha!!!
for who ever dosent know who the other guitar guy is his name is Jason Everman he was the second guitarist for Nirvana for a very brief time during the making of their first album Bleach just letting people know :)
So pure and perfect, young and such good sound, I love them here.... I love his hair here, long, the sexiest song too, out of them all... wait love buzz is right next to this....
+etherealmist76 "Love Buzz" is a single by Dutch rock band Shocking Blue. It was written by Robbie van Leeuwen and first released on the group's 1969 album, At Home. Nirvana just covered it.
and by the way, this a great video and Im glad that the whole show is on here just about. this is one of my fav performances, the band is full of energy.
Probably my favourite song of theirs, along with School. I remember seeing them live, and they were the two stand-outs. Chad Channing wrote some great drum-lines. Even Dave Grohl copied the drum-lines Chad wrote for some songs that appeared on Nevermind. He had a really unique swinging drumming style. Those amazing drum patterns were definitely missing on In Utero. He just needed to work on the drum fills a bit more, and he would have been perfect.
I saw the drawing personally in the Experience Music Project Nirvana exhibit in Seattle. They have so much of Kurt's art from his high school days. Its fantastic
I've been looking for this forever. I saw a couple of clips of Kurt with really long hair on a special for the 10th year anniversary. I've been trying to find the videos ever sense.
That's it! Grunge put the groove back into rock 'n' roll. It's those jazzy baselines and drums! Makes sense, as hip-hop was getting really popular, so that groove was part of it. Most musicians were listening to hip-hop like NWA and Public Enemy back then.😊
This IS Nirvana few months after they recorded "Bleach" in 1989, take a good look: Kurt is the guy singing and playing guitar but he had really long hair by then, Krist in just behind him, Chad Channing on drums and Jason Everman on second guitar. This was recorded at Rhino Record on L.A.
I believe that is Jason Everman....he played some shows and is credited on Bleach, but I don't think any of his input was in the final product. ------ This is easily one of my favourite Nirvana songs.
I heard he quit Nirvana shortly after this video and he was like "dude this band is going nowhere". Then he quit Soundgarden a year later for the same reason....
The guitar Kurt is playing, a Univox Hi Flyer (Copy of a Mosrite Mark I) Is, from what i read, Quite a nice copy. It has good sound and is comfortable to play.
***** actually hair doesn't keep growing after a person dies. the body shrivels and decays faster so it gives the illusion that hair and finger nails keep growing
Lucia Angeli he did look better once he cut his hair a bit but it still would’ve been cool to see Kurt keep growing his hair out because his hair was beginning to change into dreads here. That would’ve been cool to see
i wonder if kurt realizes 2 years from this concert, he's gonna be one of the most well known names on the planet. lol and krist looks like keanu reeves when he played bill. lol
So fkn sad someone that sang with that much passion had to go...i will always love this
Agree😌
all that maters is make money, dosnt need lyrics and talent. i just born in the wrong year X
bullsi20 read the old coments and then you'll get

True. It is hard to keep your hair long when you're fucking ash XD
Sergeant Pepper he was more hot with short hair
Lucia Angeli he did look better once he cut his hair a bit but it still would’ve been cool to see Kurt keep growing his hair out because his hair was beginning to change into dreads here. That would’ve been cool to see
