Look at the demographics of spring break now compared to 20-30 years ago, you'll find your problem.
When I went down 20 years ago in Panama City it was light and all we did was drink, relax and try to hook up. Ever since the hip hop culture has become normalized crime has skyrocketed, fights everywhere and it’s just disgusting. I wouldn’t go down there today. That culture is the culture of the ghetto btw.

Live in Florida, have my entire life. I’m a spring breaker with the rest every year and drink and have ZERO arrests and convictions. You can kindly go to Arkansas or Kentucky and live in your Nanny Police State life.
I used to live in Miami year after year it gets worse with these crowds. They mess it up for locals.
They used to do their spring break celebrations in Palm Springs California. They would trash most of the low desert empire before Sonny Bono put an end to the festivities ever being observed here again.

Students want government student loan relief, but yet got money and time to drink on beaches in another state. I don't get the priorities of younger generations.
Surely you used to be young? Man when I was 19 I was in community college (very cheap tuition) and worked. Was able to go anywhere on my breaks or in the summer. Car camped to save money too. Tried all kinds of drugs. Had all kinds of friend groups. It was science!

That’s the thing it’s not a few anymore. Going up against the norms of society has become a trend amongst young people in the past 5 years. All we see now is large groups of teens gathering at malls, gas stations , parking lots and just going wild like when the teacher leaves the classroom. And with social media it’s so easy for them to assimilate.

i use to live in boca (FAU) and i have alot of friends who still live in miami/ ft lauderdale. cant tell you how many of them save their PTO for this week and just bail and go out of town so they dont have to deal with it

They should go a step further and deploy the state national guard. An important lesson was learned in Va Beach following the 1989 spring break during Greek fest. It seems that the problems are getting worse with each passing season with little done to quell the repetitive behavior.
