www.BanjoBenCla... - We all hear these players that seamlessly transition from down the neck to up the neck in a split second, and we wonder...how did they do that?! One way is by using a catapult note to enable a smooth transition from a low position to a high position...which is EXACTLY what these scale exercises teach you to do! After practicing these exercises, you'll see how we can use open strings to really open up the fretboard!
Love your style and presentation of explanation.
This is amazing! I am learning to play at home, thank you for posting this very very helpful and easy to understand.
Thanks again & bless!
Great lesson! And love the license plate (class of '74).

awesome
Thank you for the amazing video! What's your thoughts on pinky finger usage? (coming from an electric bass/guitar background i'm super tempted to using it a lot more than most mandolin players i've seen and i'm not sure if that's a good or not so good thing)
+Mars Saberi Well, I'm a proponent of the pinky, my friend :) But I would encourage you to primarily use it on frets 6 and 7 when you're in the "home" position.
Banjo Ben Clark You're awesome. Thank you!
