      Hi! My daughter hasn't started school yet. From my understanding, nurseries and schools in the UAE can be expensive, with nurseries costing around $800-$2,000 per month and schools ranging from $10,000 to $40,000 per year. But the quality reputed to be very excellent.
      Some employers may offer benefits packages that cover schooling either fully or partially.

    I've just had a job offer confirmed for Abu Dhabi working for the AD Government - me and my partner are so excited to move we are even getting married! Deciding now between Abu Dhabi (easier for commute) or Dubai (which my partner has a preference for).
    One question I have among thousands - which areas of AD would mix proximity to amenities in walking distance with public transit access to city center and beach? We have a good monthly wage to play with and my partner feeling well connected is important (she can't drive as of right now)

    • @Marcabed
      @Marcabed  Месяц назад

      Congrats on the job offer and the upcoming wedding-how exciting! Abu Dhabi is a fantastic place, but choosing between there and Dubai can be tough. For areas in AD with good amenities and public transit access, you might want to look at places like Al Reem Island or the Corniche area. Mamsha on Saadiyat Island is also a great destination, located right on the beach and offering a vibrant lifestyle. Just a heads up, though-Abu Dhabi doesn't have a metro, and in the summer, it gets really hot. In my opinion, it’s always best to get a car, especially for those hot months when walking outside can be challenging. Best of luck with the move!

    • @Marcabed
      @Marcabed  Месяц назад

      Thanks for watching and for the kind words! Regarding your question, when it comes to photographing architecture in Abu Dhabi, it's always best to check with the building management first. While public buildings and landmarks typically don’t require special permission if you're not photographing people, some private buildings may have restrictions. It’s a good idea to reach out to the authorities or building management to confirm their policies on photography. Hope this helps, and happy shooting!

    Do you find it hard to vlog in public around Abu Dhabi may I ask?

    • @Marcabed
      @Marcabed  5 месяцев назад +1

      Over time, I've adapted to the situation. Just remember to stay within the law and get the necessary permissions for filming in certain locations. Being honest and respectful usually keeps things running smoothly. Vlogging in Abu Dhabi comes with its challenges, but with careful planning and awareness of regulations, it's manageable. And of course, never film individuals without permission-it's against UAE law. Always be mindful of cultural sensitivities and seek permission when needed for a positive experience for everyone involved.

      Yas island is an ideal choice, especially when your workplace is nearby. It’s a newly developed area with all the necessities for daily life.
      You can also consider Saadiyat island, Al Bandar, or Al Raha areas, depending on your housing budget and the nursery or school you choose for your 3-year old. The shorter the commute from work and school to your house, the better.
