- I slammed a 4 cylinder Yamaha RX1 engine into the VK, runs a little lean and I still have bit of work to do but it's coming along!

I liked it before I watched it. You build the kind of sleds I'd build if I could early retire. Just crazy fun builds. Yamaha take note: here is our wish list for 2023- take a vk540V toss a 2018 spec apex mill into it, mod the seat and guages off of the pro 2 onto it, HID lights, the skis you put on the russian version, install power steering and put a 1.5" receiver on both the front and the back. I'd be living my pogo dream.

Nice! Good to see someones still getting snow!? Smh. So is taht yue drive clutch that is so noisy? Just curious. Also does it seem like it might be a little lean? Almost seemed like when you were pulling up and stopped that the idle was wanting to cut out?

I rode an rx1 a while back and had 2 thoughts, holy cow it was fast, and how are you supposed to ride it when the throttle was sooo sensitive
And the RX-1 were carb sleds. The EFI ones are even worse. My 06 Attak would go 100KPH at what seems like less then quarter throttle. It was very hard to back up properly. I changed the primary spring to a lighter engagement YPY and its better now. 2800 RPM instead of 3800. I can back up much easier now and control it way better at crawl speed turns in my yard.
Is the 4 stroke a submarine when it hits deep powder?

You can adjust The secondary with the 3 screews on the backside of it!
I saw the screws - it's not so much the belt width its the spring tension - i backed it right off and still not enough jam to open it.
