Good video. I'm surprised AE don't replace the welt as is done by the Northampton brands here in the UK, while resoling their shoes. Sadly, the Northampton firms use a machine to re welt the shoes which does mean eventually, after a few resolings, the upper will fail. Ideally, AE should accept shoes that have already been taken apart and welt stitching removes by the own, before sending in.
@@shoeslyde It's better to replace the welt by hand(stitch) anyway, when needed, you can get away with as many resoles as the uppers justify. It's pretty easy to do and only requires a couple of fairy cheap tools.

@@shoeslyde Indeed... I would ask to see examples of their work first though... they have to work fast to make any money if only charges a modest fee, that's if they still have an outsole stitcher. None of the shoe repairers in my city do Goodyear shoes anymore....

Yes unfortunately the AE resoling process will fail after a about three recrafts.
