I just want to thank all the linemen who are working to restore power. I was so happy that my power was restored last night. I appreciate all the sacrifices the these workers have made. I pray for their safety daily. The devastation is great in the upstate and they are having to rebuild the infrastructure. Thank you and may GOD bless each of you.
I still don't have power as of Saturday morning, one week later, but i understand why when i drive to the store and see trees and power lines down everywhere, including all around my property. Where have these people been, snd where do they think electricity comes from?
I received the same exact notification Friday night at 7:35 PM. I left my home and filled my gas cans with 10 gallons of fuel for my generator. Once I filled my last can, my neighbor text me and said the power just came on. Don’t trust these, generic messages unless it has your exact address in the notification
For those that say that Duke wasn’t prepared, wake up, you were t prepared. Duke had people in place and more on the way, the storm moved ( as storms often do ). The crews moved in as the storm moved out. The linemen are doing a fantastic job. No we still don’t have power from Duke, but we prepared.

A lot of western NC do not have houses. They flooded or washed away or filled with mud!!
Many are still without and the linemem are working as hard as they can. The entitlement...
Duke energy workers and other helpers with this storm ⛈ need a bonus of $30,000 each or more thank you Lord for them
Thousands are desd in western NC.
❤❤❤❤
Oh boo hoo! I'm sorry, but you're inconvenienced. Try being in Asheville for the last 7 days.
