HOLY SHIT YOU'RE RIGHT
being a metal head i can say this whole album is metal, just different genres of metal. ie lightbringer and deathfire grasp are 80's style metal where as ohmwrecker is more modern heavy metal. for those of you curious about the hex core, it's industrial metal. it sounds like riot borrowed a lot of their inspiration from ac/dc, killswitch engage, nine inch nails and some dream theater. good stuff.
EDIT: God, I made this comment years ago, and I don't really agree with it anymore. Most Pentakill just sounds like power metal to me now, with a little industrial mixed in.
I can see thornmail more of a heavy metal. It kind of reminds me of a new disturbed song. Or maybe a little bit of folk metal if you think about it.
I'm sure you guys know how polarized the metal community at large is when it comes to comparing subgenres.
That in mind, I love that Riot (er, Pentakill) didn't limit themselves to one subgenre. There's something in Smite and Ignite for every metalhead.
i heard a bit of priest here and there as well
ac/dc isn't metal, it's hard rock - but i can hear a lot of DIO in it.
This whole album yells Power Metal, be it more modern or not, its the shit \m/
If pentakill gets a comeback like KDA had I want aatrox to get a pentakill skin

Riot would make hell lot of money if they sold the album
that's not the point. its meant to be for the fans and even then, think of the advertising itself alone gives. this game is so popular and well supported, they have a full band made based on the game. attracts music lovers ^^

honestly doesn't hold up after lissening to it a lot but still good DFG and infinity edge are my current favorites

I do not know abotu Sona or Yoric or the other three Champions, but I praise the musicians who perform the songs. And let us not forget the person or people who created these songs. It is played and sang to a quite professional level and it shows - all the songs sound F-KING AWESOME! Great work guys!

The singer's real name is Jorn Lande, and he voices Karthus in the game as well. However, in DFG and Last Whisper there is a different singer, ZP Theart.
