CORRECTION: The usable LP tank size on the Sequence is 16LBS not 16 gallons. My apologies everyone! How do you think the new Sequence compares with the Travato?
It compares well. In fact, I am shocked. I like the Sequence. I love the automotive exterior. From my (limited) knowledge of fluid dynamics, galley windows open and rear exhaust fan should create a nice interior airflow through the bedroom. I just wish it were all electric rather than using a gas generator and (huge) propane heating/cooking tank.
Having camped in warm weather in our Travato 59K for almost 4 years now, opening windows in the back by the beds is absolutely essential. We don't want to run the AC all the time. When it's raining for example, and our slider windows have to remain closed, we use Eurocamper vents in the chassis windows up front and the bathroom fan to pull some air back to the bedroom section. We combine that with small 12V fans. That is just barely adequate for sleeping. The acrylic awning windows in new T's do allow you to have ventilation even in the rain. I just cannot imagine trying to sleep in a hot, stuffy van as a normal practice since there's no way to open the windows beside the beds.
Neil, thank you for this review, I’ve watched it dozens of times, as a result of this we purchased ours two days ago. Please find away to continue your reviews and discussions, they are very insightful.
Solid Review! Thanks for mentioning the windows. I was sold on this model over the Travato K(L) until you said the Thor windows don't open in the bed area. That's CRAZY. The shower curtain installation (and doors) are superior to the Travato though. T folks have been bugging Winnebago for this for a while. I bet a quarter that they'll change the windows on next year's model. edit: I contacted them about the rear bedroom windows and they said they would forward my request to the dev team. Don't know if that produces any weight, but if everyone did it, the following year might tack on back windows that open so go for it!
Hey Neil, they have a great new floor plan for the sequence and really good news: They have the lithium upgrade now available for the Sequence, equal to the Boldt and National Park Edition of the Travato!
Hi Neil, great job on the reviews. Please also review the other Sequence floor plan "20K". That really looks like a fantastic layout with larger kitchen and lots of storage. Thanks.
Thanks for the review. Great job. We have a new KL and one thing that the Sequence seems to have vs the Travato is a factory pull around shower curtain. I had to engineer one for our KL . Winnebagos OEM is a snap on curtain (2019) and its a real pain. Track with rollers much nicer. Gerry in Michigan
Neil! Hello from Florida. After watching your video on this Thor Sequence, I drove over to Tampa to look at a couple of them in person. Wow. This is quite possibly a perfect Class B. On initial impression, the build quality is very good, actually better than the Airstream Interstate that was parked nearby. So much light, space, and very well executed storage. Here’s another interesting point, it was $79,995 brand new. That’s a pretty sweet price point. On a second note, would you please review the new Coachmen CrossTrek 20xg. It’s the just introduced B Plus with Solar, Xantrex 3000, and looks like a great design! Thanks For All You Do!
Another great video, Neil. Wife and I are always eager to see your reviews on just about anything. In the past 40+ yrs, we have had about 30 RV's from small to large 42 ft. & were class B's. Right now we are without and are seriously looking. Wife thinks maybe a Class A like a Breeze mainly because of the floor width for our Greyhound to turn around. I am thinking more like the Sequence so it can be treated like our 2nd car to drive regularly if needed. I am tired of paying for the real expensive yearly tags and ins. for a RV that is just sitting until you can use it for camping only. Right now we are leaning toward the Leisure Travel Wonder RTB for it's width and it in town drivability. or a rear twin bed like the Sequence. We had a 2014 Pleasureway Plateau XLMB with we loved. but when the bed was down and the dog needed out I had to make the wife get up so I could raise for the dog to get out the door. Maybe in the future you could address the floor widths for so many of us that have a large dog that has to turn around in. Thank you for all that you do!
love all the info that you have in this comment. 30 RVs?? wow you should be a consultant for my channel! i like the RTB from LTV. if space is a consideration then i would definitely look at b+/C class rather than b class offerings.
The value is good i agree but I just dont like the configuration of either having to squeeze by tables to get to the bathroom, crawl on knees to get to the bathroom if the bed is full size and I love fresh air from open windows, even if I put a screen across the rear doors I wouldn't feel safe enough to keep it like that while I slept. Thank You for the review Neal, good as always.
Good review Neil. Pricing on the Sequence is terrific especially considering the many features that are standard versus optional on the Travato K. But the non-opening bedroom windows are a non-starter, I can't imagine not having a cross breeze across the beds while sleeping. Non opening windows is unexplainable. Unless the coach is always used where it's hot with AC running constantly. Hopefully Thor addresses this oversight quickly.
@@alliejr We’ll have to wait for some early user reports but I know I prefer a direct air flow for sleeping. I mean, you can always leave the back doors open too but the Sequence doesn’t offer a screen so that would have to be retro-fitted. Wife and I prefer lots of air flow so for us the Travato with dual-pane windows was by far the best option for maximum air flow as all the windows open including rear porthole ones and the dual panes open 100% versus 50% you get with a slider.
Great review. I think Thor was smart and standardized on things that Travado nickel and dimes on. I hope Thor is listening here about the screen for the back and adding flip open rain proofed windows at least at the bottom of those beautiful windows (something that I’ve seen on airstreams). If they did that I’d go for one of these puppies and add lithium. I bet we’ll see Activ style class B vans coming out soon too...offshoots of Roadtrek and Hymer style class Bs. They needed to come out with an oblique shot across the bow of Winnebago given both of them as big boys. 😊 I hope they build a GL style class B because I like the front lounge for working better than what is provided in this K style but it still works better than Winnebago when you look at the standard items provided. I’m excited. Keep us updated when other models appear in this line of Thor’s.
@@Ultramobility I found it this week when I started researching Class B RVs with dinettes - so hard, but I found it! It's the: Thor Class B Sequence 20A (pop-top optional & , lithium battery optional) with cassette toilet!
Picking up a Pleasureway Lexor tomorrow. Liked the Trivato but preferred the lounge at the back and I’d be interested in seeing you drive the Thor. The Trivato had many rattles while driving while the Lexor had none which was the other main reason we went with it.
I am dying for you to get to Pleasure-way and do a review of the Ontour. I am excited about another "under 20'" option from Pleasureway. This is actually a more positive review than Thor did of the Sequence. I was unimpressed until I saw this review. You always do a great job. Thanks,
Ty for your great review, as usual. Found the price a surprise. Personally, I am not a fan of the twin beds, especially with bathroom at the head of the beds. But some will not care about that. Great job Neil.
Wonderful review... I agree with your comments about the value as well as the benefits of competition in the class B segment. Excited to hear how they price the lithium battery pack.
I think the Lithium will be a very high priced option, around $12-$15k, because the cost of that huge 900ah Lithium is very, very, high. I think that a 600ah pack is more than sufficient, given the generous generator package and supplemental solar as standard.
We were so close to buying this RV but when we saw non working windows in the bed area it went from a rating of 10 to a 3!!!! A small size RV needs ventilation!!!!
@@afwilbanks4172 It might be because the ACs amd Gennies on these Vans are too loud to sleep with so you absolutely need to take advantage of "the stack effect" that a bedside window in conjunction with a rooftop exhaust fan gives you throughout the night. I guess if you live in Canada and barely ever plan to use it above 50degerees then it makes sense. It's a sharp van but really missing netted windows bedside is a deal breaker 💯.
Just saw one of these today at the RV show in Denver, and of course came right to you for the review! The one I saw was a 20K, with a very different layout, not like Travato at all. It had quite a bit more storage. Nice looking, and quality seems quite good for the price.
Great review Neil. They certainly pack a lot into this rig for the money! This is a serious contender to look at buying. I've never seen multiplex available in such an aggressively priced van. It's clean looking and very attractive on the outside as well as interior. Why aren't all manufacturers putting in decent inverters? 1000 watts makes no sense to me. Love the rear bathroom. Love the Corian counters and the workstation also being Corian. If they come through with the lithium upgrade, I'm sold on this van. Awesome review!
Thanks for complete review! ! ! I am single and looking to buy this so very helpful. Comment on non opening side window. I am a Colorado mountains camper - very cool nights and I have found in my various units that even the ceiling vent is usually not necessary. Also, bears - - - If they are around, I don't want them scratching at my screens by my bed. Again, I would close the windows while sleeping no matter what. Thanks again.
Thank you for this review. I was really sold until you said the windows in the lounge don't open. Whew, dodged a bullet there. That would drive me crazy. Thanks for your reviews, you do such a great job. So educational and informative.
Very good video. Keep in mind that in Europe, a very similar RV based on the same chassis (Fiat Ducato) costs $55,000. All the class B sold in Europe are much less expensive and some of them have a really smart design. Thank you!
Your reviews are of great value. I was all on board for the 59K until I saw the Panoramic RV, making it my top choice (…waiting …waiting) but now this Thor Sequence have pushed the travato 59K down to third, Although I do love the awning style windows of the 59K for crosswind ventilation. The price and quality of the Sequence are nice. They have thought out some of the 59K short comings.
Excellent review. Once again, you set the standard for a fair, balanced, thorough review. For me, the lack of rear ventilation is a deal breaker, and I'd like to see an optional composting toilet with combined gray/black tanks to extend boondocking capabilities substantially. But, this may be one of the top modern platform budget Class Bs available today, provided one can get past the Thor reputation for QC and after sales support.
Hello Again! I have committed on this point before and I think it important to bring it up again. 2020 van manufacturers need to offer safety features that will help save lives. Your spending a lot of money on a something you can afford to buy. So adding just a few dollars more you can get the protection you and your family deserves. As always thank you for your review.
Ultramobility / same with our family car. Toyota's smart safety features are now in most if not all of their models. (Info) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a group of carmakers that requires all models to come equipped with automatic emergency braking (AEB) within the next few years,For now, however, you’ll still find many models that only offer AEB as an optional extra.
Jay G. / Now that a real good question! The problem that I foresee is the amount of inventory now in the hands of the retrofitters. When they hit the market the rolling stock without the new safety features will need to be discounted. It will be interesting how each company will handle this change.
@@NewAgeDIY we are truly in an exciting change in the B Class. But cost is an important consideration in that small is small and we expect our payout for such vehicles to be small too.
We inspected a Sequence about a week ago in Fort Myers and were very impressed with the quality of materials. We have been considering a class B for more than a year and have seen all of them. This isn't a Pleasure Way but it's also a lot cheaper. Our conclusion is that it's not perfect but is a very good deal for the price, and I would find a way to make the air circulation work. .
Pull-out drawer refrigerators are much easier to use than door-opening/floor level refrigerators that require constant stooping. All windows (including rear) need to open and be screened for cross ventilation. Love the large bath floor + the wardrobe closet and drawers back there = good thinking.
Thank you for this review.... we hope to be able to buy one next year! I agree with you on the 1 year warranty could be much better, not everyone can afford a more expensive rig! I also am concerned about air flow.... I wonder if they could replace the roof van with a MAXX fan if that would help more with the flow!!!! At this price point it’s definitely awesome! Thank you again, we so needed this info because this is 1. Our price point. 2. Extras that are standards! Best wishes to you!!!!
I am really enjoying your channel, and how well you cover all of the very key details and then offer comparisons. I am new to this world of 'mobile studio apartments' (I lived in a studio in San Francisco) and wonder if you would take all of the best features of the different makes and models and extract and make your own version with all of the best options-- where money is no object! It would be fun to see your idea of what a perfect vehicle- one room type van would have. Please include any and all makes you are familiar with like Mercedes, Airstream and other other trusted models. What is the BEST chassis, engine type, solar energy configuration ,water management, the deluxe features that make it even better... what is your DREAM vehicle? AND, what would be the best configuration to make sure you have if you want to live off the grid-- so optimized features.. (I might be planning an escape!) Thank you for your dedicated work and lovely channel.
Just found this! Excellent review! Thor really hit the right features needed at this price point. It will be interesting to see how the new owner experiences will play out.
Having travelled for 4.5 years in my Travato G. I would go with the KL next. Generators under a van are unacceptable. You cannot get to them to maintain them. Plus they are to noisy for the areas you take a class b, like these two. But I like the competition as I will be buying another van shortly. I just broke 200,000 miles.
Por que Bitcoin ,my mistake, I meant I have the G, not the GL. But I would get a KL because: no shower drain pump which clogs every 3 days. Also K versions are gravity dump, no macerater for grey water. And I like the windows.
Adding this to the long list of Class B's with no counter space. Who is designing these things? Apparently someone who doesn't cook. Great review as always Neil! I like this floor plan but I'm concerned about the logistics of getting to the restroom when the bed is made up. 🤔 Would you consider maybe doing a video or series on advantages/disadvantages of building out a custom van vs. buying from Thor, Winnebago, etc?
You had compared the Travato with the PleasureWay Lexor. Just test drove the Lexor and if Thor was trying to copy the competition they picked the wrong one. Liked the Trivato but it rattles like it’s about to fall apart. The Lexor was solid and quiet and the lounge arrangement at the back is just plain superior to the Travato’s twin beds which make awkward couches. It’s the Lexor for us.
They are a public company. They won’t sacrifice market value for quality. Been working on these for a while, Thor makes a crappy product. They’re good at facade, but pull that back and it’s all about profit. Avoid.
Why can’t these manufacturers turn the cook top 45 degrees and off to the right, so the glass lid opens against the drivers seat, to protect the seat and allow more open counter space?
Hello Neil, thank you for all the fantastic information. As someone who is concerned about my carbon footprint. I was wondering if you have done a video on the best energy efficient class b van? Best in solar and fuel economy. I am a solo traveler seeking the best option to live in that has the least impact on the environment. Peace brother ☮️💜😄
Great review and Thanks! I would also love to have a comparison to Embassy RV which is trying to complete in the same market. I didn't hear anything about being able to set the temperature (either AC or heat) and allow it to come on and run when temperature changes below limits you set (I don't know what this is called), running AC off shore, and as always I see very little about the seating capacity. In one picture i saw seatbelts on the passenger side bed but they didn't look to be 3 point - you didn't mention it in your review and it's not mentioned on the website. I want to be able to transport more than 2 people (like how about adding grandkids) and it seems like very few of these affordable vans offer more than two seatbelts.
You mentioned the parking was good because of the length. I forgot what is the length of your Pleasure Way? You talked about it that you like your RV because it's easy to park.
Hi Neil: I am trying to ask you a question but do not know where to do it, so I will just ask here. When will you do a review of the 2020 Pleasure Way Ascent? If you have already done so, please include a link. I cannot find this review as part of your stuff. Thanks
I had a Class B with a RAM front end (Roadtrek Zion). I now have a B+ (Thor Gemini), with a Ford Transit Diesel. BOTH "front ends" I like but I'm considering "down sizing" BACK to a Class B. I REALLY liked the ability to use my Roadtrek as a "utility van". In fact I moved ALL the furniture in my house in the back (the Zion with the side by side bed arrangement). I also like the ability to move long pieces of lumber down the center aisle (which I can't do with my current B+). I LIKE THOR. The quality is pretty good although, as they admit, they need to tighten up, a bit, on their quality checks coming off their assembly lines. No problems buying another Thor RV, though. I think, for the low prices they charge and the fairly decent finish on the inside furnishings, they're a VERY strong competitor to ANY of the other RV manufacturers in North America. Thanks for the great review, Neil!
Thanks Neil.. another well done review of a new Oferring from Thor. In my view, I don’t find this model more than compelling to the Travato line. Seems they ripped off Winnebago for all the designs and then decided to short the consumer with less solar and lack of window openings. Price looks reasonable, but the 1 yr short warranty period is disconcerting to me. Great job as always sir!
How is the reputation of Thor building quality. I've heard some nasty reviews of things just too rushed. Thank you so much for reviewing all these. For sure helps
Hi Neil, thanks for another great review. Would you please review the new Winnebago Solis? It seems to be bundling up the best of the Travato G and the Revel, and improving on both (to my mind). If they offer it with the Volta system I won't be able to stop myself from spending the grandkids college funds! I'm interested in your review.
Hi Neil: Thank you for an excellent review. The pricing is surely tempting. I was wondering how you feel the build quality and components that the two manufacturers use compare. I know Pleasure Way’s Lexor is thousands, even tens of thousands more but when you buy a class B it seems to make sense to me buy for the long term (in my judgment that’s 10 years or more). Therefore quality is most important. From your Pleasure Way reviews it’s apparent that you love their quality. Also I’ve noticed that in the older van resale market, you’ll find 10-15 year old PW b class van still holding up beautifully. Also some RoadTrek models have done quite well. If you were buying a B class on a Promaster chassis, how do you rank the comparative values of these three models? And are there any other Promaster vans that you would recommend we consider?
I like it. Shouldn't be too hard to buy and install a Travato rear screen. Regarding the propane, 16 pounds equal 3.8 gallons for people who are asking. I wonder if bathroom fan on exhaust and galley fan on in would create enough airflow, or as someone else pointed out galley windows open in lieu of the fan.
I thought of another question to ask you Neil. I know that Pleasure Way is known for their quality. I'm not sure that the Winnebago is at the same quAlity level. So my question is whether the qquality of the Pleasure Way Sequence. is better than then the Winnebago Travato? Do theY both have the same warranty? Thanks Neil. Your the best RV reviewer on youtube in my opinion!
One that goes into my consider column. Lots of good ideas in this one and the price is a huge bonus. I would like to see add on packages that include positive locking cabinets and draws, a bigger inverter, and four wheel drive. Heck, I would even consider paying for a longer warranty and I hate paying for warranties. One concern is I don't know much about Thor and that has me wondering if they cut corners, like Winnebago, sacrificing quality in the process.
Can these non opening windows be replaced with ones that will? I mean without a lot of cutting. I don’t know if replacements are same size. Great review
Great cargo capacity.Still, some national parks will NOT allow any vehicle longer that 20’ all inclusive on some roads ( including bumper, bike rack, etc) and it does NOT fit in a regular parking space. “Almost“ does not count. 190 watt solar a bit light. Good price? 4x4 price? Also nice big fresh water and propane tanks. I’d also ding it for the refrigerator on the floor and there is no Lithium, hence the price. All that said, I like Thor. HUGE value! No back screen cuz it’s the bathroom. I get it but ventilation needs to be evaluated by buyers.
Good comparison Neil. I'm curious if the new Pleasure Way Ontour will be a direct competitor with Thor & Winnebago of if they'll price it into a higher $$ bracket? Competition and consumer choices are good!!
Love that it has multiplex wiring and local and remote touchpanel controls. What about cabinet construction? Sticks and staples like the Travato? That's a deal breaker for me with Winnebago.
Thor quality and warranty service is terrible. Spent $165,000.00 at Camping World on a new Omni super C and it is still in for warranty service, now for three months, and never used or useable since new in June 2019.
That probably has more to do with Camping World... They have a lot of issues, here's some examples... ruclips.net/video/kQ-Qr6D0JKQ/видео.html camping-world.pissedconsumer.com/bad-service-201806201284576.html www.complaintsboard.com/camping-world-b112241 Sometimes it's the dealership that's the problem...
Multiplex wiring seems to be a plus, I guess... but everything else... meh. Included options are nice, but no real info on price to compare, so are they really included or just tacked on to the price? No option for lithium or Pure3 right now, so kind of a deal breaker. Also watched Thor's intro to the Sequence and found out you need rods to keep the awning up (how turn of the century of them!). This is just a warmed over Travato K with some minor additions but no innovation.
So any impression of overall build quality ? (I'm guessing about like the Travato). Also wish they had positive locking latches on those cabinets, etc...Still, like you said - price isn't bad. But if I were in the market for a Promaster-based coach, I might be more keen on price-shopping a PW Lexor.
How do you think this compares to the Winnabego Solis? Looking for a family class B that seats and sleeps 4 Solis looks more affordable but not familiar with Thor as a company.
Another high quality, informative review Neil, thanks. I've been eyeballing the KL vs a custom build and this helped fill in some of the information gaps. Final note, I'm still hoping that Panoramic offers a KL competitive layout in the future.
Many RV'ers are solo travelers. I would like to see them do away with 2 twin beds and just offer a wet bath, a single twin and large wardrobe in the place of the room that the extra twin takes up. Yeah, then I would consider one of these type of vans.
Thank you Neil for another informative review. In response to your critics--it is easy to be a critic, pointing out a mistake or two (which you readily admit and correct). If the standard was no reviews unless absolutely certain there are not even any insignificant errors, the likely result would be--no reviews!
Good review. I think if a company cannot bring anything new to the table in terms of design or functionality from their competitor, maybe they shouldn't bring it out at all. How do you as an engineer sleep at night when all you have done is copy someone else's product. No one is getting inspiration from the European models when they design? Just slap two misaligned twin beds in a cab with a little galley and a bathroom in the back and call it a day...well, okay. But just on GP, I would get a Travato any day before this wannabe. I was so excited when I saw that there was a new Class B in town, only to find that "been there, done that." (How about adding a compost toilet as an option, for starters? Grab some space for more fresh water) So maybe you're thinking there are only so many things you can do with a 20-foot space, but not me. I have seen folks doing their own conversions and a lot of them have come up with a lot more interesting layouts than whatever team of engineers plagiarized the Travato design, which I think the 59G suits my needs better anyway than this flatlined design. Call me cocky, but I really feel I could come up with something better than this. S E R I O U S L Y ! ! ! But, again, thanks for the review. I'll learn not to get too excited in the future. :)
Even if it is the same exact layout, I just like that it is better looking and finished than the Travato. The Travato I looked at this past weekend, I could not even slide the table out to put it in position (the one on the passenger side)...seemed the wood had swollen and it would not come out... on the Thor Sequence it is all Corian (or Corian-like material)... much better. Everything in it just looked higher quality and better built. Too bad they missed placing some windows in the back that could be open to allow for cross ventilation with the fan on... the amount of airflow from being able to do that, is significant. Can't wait to see it in person.
@@Wachuko-1 No worries about seeing the Sequence in person, Jamie. If you've seen the 59K, then you've already seen the Sequence, haha. I personally like the 59G. It all seems like such a give and take when purchasing. That's where I am...trying to figure it all out before laying down all that $$$! But I ran across this that kind of talks about what I'm thinking about in terms of companies really moving the ball forward with innovation and not just lateral moves. "The history of Chinooks are actually rather long and extensive. It’s one of the older motorhome companies in the industry, and was family owned and operated. They were considered pioneers in the Industry, constantly innovating and creating new concepts and products that progressed the small motorhome industry, helping to mold and shape it into what it is today." So that to me is where it is at...just getting better, thinking out of the box and creating new thresholds. Never a fan of the lateral moves.
Sabrina Gardner , I get it.. but if the quality of the build is better and the floor plan is what I am looking for, why would I go with an inferior build? In your case you want a different layout than what Thor provides... so no alternative there for you. I want to see the Sequence to validate the materials and build quality... I might stick with getting another Interstate (but a GT with Twin Beds this time around)... but different from our first purchase where I did not look at everything that was available, this time I am checking all options and brands. Best of luck on your search!! And safe and happy travels.
How are the two beds 30 inches wide but together you say the size of them combined is 54" x 76"? How can the width be less than the two individuals plus the center table addition?
What's your opinion on a layout like this as opposed to a layout like in the Panoramic? Does it feel smaller? Is storage noticeably less? Does it feel like much more trouble to set up your bed every day rather than having a bed that's always there?
i like the panoramic's layout. you get a highly functional, permanent front lounge where the bench seat is an actual seat and sits at the right height and depth with proper lumbar support compared to bench seats that are doubling as beds and sit too high and are too deep for sitting on. plus on the panoramic you get a garage when you fold up the bed. the bathroom on the sequence is much larger however.
It's a great value and will push Winnie to work harder and price better
@alliejr - please see my correction on the propane tank size!
How many gallons is that? Just for direct comparison.
I'm a bit confused with the bed size of 54"×76", considering you mentioned the individual sleepers are 30" each without the extension.
Wow Neil, once again you did an outstanding job with this review! Thank you so much Neil!

Where in Tampa did you see these? Jax & gvl has none.
Another excellent review from Ultramobility. Great job!
Thank You for the review Neal, good as always.
very good points Carrie Jo.
They need a rear bed option with the floor plan of the coachman Beyond 22c, additional seats with 3 point seatbelts
This van is obviously going toe to toe with the Travato, so these points you make apply to both coaches.
I might be wrong, but the combination of rear exhaust fan and open galley windows should create a really nice air flow through the bedroom area.
I hope they build a GL style class B because I like the front lounge for working better than what is provided in this K style but it still works better than Winnebago when you look at the standard items provided. I’m excited. Keep us updated when other models appear in this line of Thor’s.
i would hope that thor comes out with a sequence based on the 59g travato floor plan!
I think the 2021 version has windows in the back and a rear screen They listened to you!
Vert Well Done Neil, this is a nice addition to the B line up. Know my pat answer but this will truly give the Travato a run for the money!
Wonderful review... I agree with your comments about the value as well as the benefits of competition in the class B segment. Excited to hear how they price the lithium battery pack.
me too! i suspect it will be priced competitively. i hear they are going with MasterVolt.
They now have those small Windows
@@xradrd thank you for the update!!!!
Sequence wins over Travato because the Travato requires the back door to be open to hook up to fresh water.
The price is interesting, the cabinets are sharp looking, but the back windows not opening would be a deal breaker for me.
Is that worth 20 to 40 thousand in price?
Awesome review!
excelent video comparison of THOR & Winnebago RVs. THis week I just found both - and you answered my question perfectly: what's the difference.
thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this review. I was really sold until you said the windows in the lounge don't open. Whew, dodged a bullet there. That would drive me crazy. Thanks for your reviews, you do such a great job. So educational and informative.
you’re welcome
The sequence also has a front couch bed and a larger kitchen in the k or 20k
Very good video. Keep in mind that in Europe, a very similar RV based on the same chassis (Fiat Ducato) costs $55,000. All the class B sold in Europe are much less expensive and some of them have a really smart design. Thank you!
Great review. Definitely a game changer for a class B. Interested in the lithium package price.
Lack of ability to open the windows in the sleeping/lounge area could be an issue.
Thanks for showing this new Class B. Nice to see a lower price option in this layout.
Hello Again! I have committed on this point before and I think it important to bring it up again. 2020 van manufacturers need to offer safety features that will help save lives. Your spending a lot of money on a something you can afford to buy. So adding just a few dollars more you can get the protection you and your family deserves.
As always thank you for your review.
agree! we have great safety features on our cars. we also need them on our larger RVs!
Ultramobility / same with our family car. Toyota's smart safety features are now in most if not all of their models.
(Info)
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a group of carmakers that requires all models to come equipped with automatic emergency braking (AEB) within the next few years,For now, however, you’ll still find many models that only offer AEB as an optional extra.
So when will Promaster upgrade to a new chassis?
Our conclusion is that it's not perfect but is a very good deal for the price, and I would find a way to make the air circulation work. .
Hate the twin beds
Pull-out drawer refrigerators are much easier to use than door-opening/floor level refrigerators that require constant stooping. All windows (including rear) need to open and be screened for cross ventilation. Love the large bath floor + the wardrobe closet and drawers back there = good thinking.
Really wish you would come back-you give the best reviews! Thanks
awww thank you. i’m back !
Thank you Neil for another thorough and extremely informative review!
thank you for watching kathleen!
Glad it was helpful!
(I might be planning an escape!) Thank you for your dedicated work and lovely channel.
you’re welcome!
Just found this! Excellent review! Thor really hit the right features needed at this price point. It will be interesting to see how the new owner experiences will play out.
Thanks for the sub!
Jim Stein why do you want to switch to KL? i think the GL layout is much better..
Por que Bitcoin ,my mistake, I meant I have the G, not the GL. But I would get a KL because: no shower drain pump which clogs every 3 days. Also K versions are gravity dump, no macerater for grey water. And I like the windows.
In 2020, all these chasis should have adaptive cruise control. Is such a great feature for driving long distances.
Thanks Neil great review good value for the price
You had compared the Travato with the PleasureWay Lexor. Just test drove the Lexor and if Thor was trying to copy the competition they picked the wrong one. Liked the Trivato but it rattles like it’s about to fall apart. The Lexor was solid and quiet and the lounge arrangement at the back is just plain superior to the Travato’s twin beds which make awkward couches. It’s the Lexor for us.
Thanks for the review. I wish I could find the Sequence/Travato twin bed layout built on a Sprinter and with a decent warranty. Maybe next year.
Its there and it s great vehicle... called the boldt. Also priced accordingly.
New subscriber. You are a very good presenter and have a wealth of knowledge. Thank you!
I appreciate that!
I like that Thor brings competition to the class B. They just need to work on their reputation a bit to convince buyers to switch over from Winnebago.
Yep agree
They are a public company. They won’t sacrifice market value for quality. Been working on these for a while, Thor makes a crappy product. They’re good at facade, but pull that back and it’s all about profit. Avoid.
Why can’t these manufacturers turn the cook top 45 degrees and off to the right, so the glass lid opens against the drivers seat, to protect the seat and allow more open counter space?
Do you mean 90 degrees?
Hello Neil, thank you for all the fantastic information. As someone who is concerned about my carbon footprint. I was wondering if you have done a video on the best energy efficient class b van? Best in solar and fuel economy. I am a solo traveler seeking the best option to live in that has the least impact on the environment. Peace brother ☮️💜😄
Horse and buggy yo
If it's built like my Axis it is held together with staples and will probably fall apart in less than 20,000 miles. Good luck with that!
Nice review!!! Please please do a dedicated video on the 2020 Winnebago View 24d :)
Thanks Neil. A lot to like indeed.
When reviewing the OCCC should you not also factor in the weight of the gas and propane?
Very cool. Hopefully they make a rear lounge version.
I think the A/C unit is smaller in the sequence. I don’t know if that will be enough to cool the van in hot climates like Florida
In this video I am seeing man speaking about vehicle most of the time than vehicle display. I want to see more of vehicle
Doesn't Thor own Airstream? They've been building Class B rigs for sometime now. Great review. Thanks!
Yes they do!
Brad West THOR Industries owns Airstream they also own THOR Motor coach. Technically this is THOR Motor Coahes first Bvan.
Nice if you can find one.
20k is hard to find.
Your the best RV reviewer on youtube in my opinion!
you mean Thor sequence. they are about the same.
Unfortunately the pro master chassis doesn’t come in a four-wheel-drive option. You could always buy a third-party extended warranty
@@Ultramobility Sigh, story of my life, you can't get it that way. Oh well, life goes on.
it's sad no one pick up the layout of the hymer vans
Will you be at the CA RV show to meet your fans? If so, when & where?
Can these non opening windows be replaced with ones that will? I mean without a lot of cutting. I don’t know if replacements are same size. Great review
Are you going to be reviewing the new Sequence floorplan?
None opening bedroom windows , 1 cubic foot smaller fridge .Nice looking rig but unfortunately those two items are deal breakers for us .
Good comparison Neil. I'm curious if the new Pleasure Way Ontour will be a direct competitor with Thor & Winnebago of if they'll price it into a higher $$ bracket? Competition and consumer choices are good!!
Haven't seen you in a while. Are you still doing videos?
i’m back. i was taking a much needed break.
Like the pricing in comparison
Nice look
The multiplex wiring puts this over the top. You get more for your money with Thor. Not sure if the quality is the same.
Xlnt review, thanks Neil! You'd think they'd at least trim those windows better, look at the bunched-up fabric. Oh, Thor!
What’s the best way to make your cabinets “positive latching”? Bungee cords..... etc?
Good review. Thank you.
They have a lot of issues, here's some examples...
ruclips.net/video/kQ-Qr6D0JKQ/видео.html
camping-world.pissedconsumer.com/bad-service-201806201284576.html
www.complaintsboard.com/camping-world-b112241
Sometimes it's the dealership that's the problem...
Can you compare the 20A floorpan to the Travato?
Does the bathroom sink and shower drain into the black or grey water tank? I understand that the Travato drains into the black tank.
Correction: It may be just the sink in the bathroom on the Travato. Not the shower.
Final note, I'm still hoping that Panoramic offers a KL competitive layout in the future.
i'm trying to get them to offer lithium!
@@Ultramobility Lithium AND a twin bed design would seal the deal for me!
If we were to pick one RV show to attend in 2020 to see Class B camper vans, which would it be?
Many RV'ers are solo travelers. I would like to see them do away with 2 twin beds and just offer a wet bath, a single twin and large wardrobe in the place of the room that the extra twin takes up. Yeah, then I would consider one of these type of vans.
Not cool Dude
Thank you Neil for another informative review. In response to your critics--it is easy to be a critic, pointing out a mistake or two (which you readily admit and correct). If the standard was no reviews unless absolutely certain there are not even any insignificant errors, the likely result would be--no reviews!
Sanford, really appreciate your comment. thank you for saying this.
Ultramobility Happy to do so. The criticism was unfair. You go out of your way to deliver informative, helpful and unbiased reviews.
They were considered pioneers in the Industry, constantly innovating and creating new concepts and products that progressed the small motorhome industry, helping to mold and shape it into what it is today."
So that to me is where it is at...just getting better, thinking out of the box and creating new thresholds.
Math may not be Neil's strongest trait. ;-)
HOW are you??? we miss you and your CLASS B COVERAGE
i’m here and thank you!
Great review. Amazing that they can copy the travado in such detail. I'm wondering if they use stick framing like the travado. Thank you again.
probably... i'll need to see how they are built. they've invited up to a factory tour which i'll likely take them up on.
