This is one of the best books I ever read. Simplifying everything was the most important thing I took from this. I actually studied chess the way he suggested in his book and it improved my game so much! Then i applied the same concept to so many other things.
Another important take away was switching things up if your in a rut. I remember when he was having trouble solving a chess problem he went outside to sprint for a little bit. Then came back to solving his problem. Everyone is different in the way they solve problems. This books really opened up my eyes to that.
    Awesome work brother! :)

Thank you man! Yeah his depth of knowledge was really incredible. The hardest part was having to leave so much out to make the video watchable

    Should be "Locus" of control

He did that on purpose to engage our pedantic and critical minds!

6:11 "You are now like a soft mushy bodied crab"
Is it weird it's not the first time I've been told that today?

The first point in your video: "Describe the upper-left-hand brick of the opera house facade", is actually from another book: "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". The teacher's name was Robert M. Pirsig or Pheadrus, the town, Bozeman Montana. The girl didn't find the town boring, as a matter of fact, the initial assignment was a 500 words essay about the United States. She couldn't think about anything to write. "She was not looking", to use Pirsig's words. Josh Waitzkin (not Waitzken), actually acknowledges that book as one of the 2 most pivotal readings of his life, together with the Dao de Jing... :).

Thank you for clarifying that! This was a really helpful comment. Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance is definitely one of the next on my list.

Haha just one of those words I realized I was always saying wrong. Only I realized it after immortalizing it in a video :D

Nice job! This is one of my favorite books, and I love how you distilled a couple of its key concepts visually. Look forward to more!

Wow. Great job and great summary. I'm going to get this book. Even more excited it ties in philosophy from Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. What are your other top two books?

    Hi there,
I was thinking if there were any way for you to let us see the full screen picture of the complete topic? These notes are very very great, and could probably help many people to actually learn & study your slides.
    Best greetings

Ok i dont get it ,...some new fancy zones? different to Cziksenmihaly flow types? Are these about working using grit, not a biofeedback sessions to train delta and theta flow ripples?

I don't want to be an anorexic crab. But if I was, I think my chances of not being boiled for someone's dinner would improve.

Everyone noticed you spelt locus wrong, but what about the bigger error - you spelt Josh's name wrong in the title screen. Waitzkin not Waitzken!
