Yep - I'm 77 and have the hearing aids to prove it. Blame it on my youth, I was a musician in the late 60's we supported a lot of the bands reviewed by young Molly, including The Herd (with a very young Peter Frampton).
Summer of 1976. I'm seven years old and the teenaged sisters that lived across the street played this album all summer. I've owned it since the 80's. Buying this album is like some sort of rock n roll rite of passage or something.
Don't let amazing guitarists discourage you---let them inspire you. Everyone starts somewhere, so let your love of learning and playing rule your heart.
Every great guitar player drew inspiration from others. Let these masters be your inspiration, dedicate yourself to learning what you want to learn and rock on--you can do it!!!
Absolutely, I started playing guitar ( no music background) 4 years ago and I’m always learning . People now sometimes sit next to me to listen to me play . I’m happy people like what I play. You just have to want to play and keep practicing. I am inspired by Nita Strauss, Billy Gibbons, and David Gilmour .
You could not listen to radio, or go to a party in 1976 - 1977 without hearing songs from this album. Frampton was a teenaged lead guitarist for a great group called Humble Pie, then he formed his own group called Frampton’s Camel that released a couple of albums… and then this behemoth album came out and you just couldn’t get away from it if you tried. So the air was filled with cuts from Fleetwood Mac’s 2 greatest albums ‘Fleetwood Mac’ & ‘Rumours’… Boston’s enormous debut album, and this monster from Frampton. Frampton was huge for a few years, but music moved on… and he decided to go for a peaceful life and got more into jazz. Some great recordings, but never hugely popular again. He was very highly regarded - a really melodic and intuitional player - and his solos were always interesting and made you feel great! You should get into the Boston album - most of the cuts on that album are mind blowing from the guitar, vocals & production aspect!
I am so happy that you reacted to this. I was bugging for over a month. Peter Framton live needs to be on stage live. Nobody like him! His passion and skills are unparalleled! Try "Baby I love your way"". If you wanted to react to the stage versions, I bet most people would watch this song again. 💙🕊😁🎵💿🎶
You can totally turn right around and react to it again by reacting to the live version of this exact same performance. It's exactly what you were wishing for. I don't think anybody in the world Woodfield anything except excited about seeing you hearing this for only your second time ever and now reacting to what they looked and sounded like on stage back in the Seventies.
I'm 66 years old and love watching your reactions to the music of my youth. You need to see Peter Frampton Tiny Desk preformance, live in a small music store.
Peter Frampton was so huge, that all the guys in my school wanted to look like him and I'm telling you there were dozens of dudes in Southern California that had that look just in my school. Imagine how the entire country went nuts when this classic live performance came out. It's considered one of the best live performances ever captured on vinyl!
That's alright sweetie, you rewind this as much as you want, at the end of this video I'm going to rewind and watch you hear it again for the first time. My old cheeks are sore from smiling. Its good to know the music we loved will live on pass our generation.
If I'm not mistaken, Frampton has been rated in the top 5 guitarist ever. I still listen to him at least once a week. So blessed to grow up in the era I did just for the music that came from the late 60's and the 70's. Oh, and on a side note, this particular album was quietly (or not so quietly) as the guarantee-to-get-laid soundtrack back then (or so I've been told!). Does my heart good to see younger generations discover what their grandparents grew up with!
Thanks for doing the correct version, most reactors don’t do this classic version and completely miss out, one of the best live audio versions of any rock song right here 🔥 Peter Frampton is from England, it’s him on vocals and guitar 🎸 and talk box….
One thing I love about Frampton’s guitar here is everything is played with the audience in mind. Nothing to showcase crazy shredding or Olympic grade picking. The musicality just invites you to grit your teeth and laugh at being lifted up.
He is still touring in 2024. Great performance recoded September 16 on RockingGator channel.. Was inducted into HOF October this year. Still shreds and sings even though he has a muscular disease that affects his legs so he needs a cane and support to get on and off stage. Doesn't affect his guitar playing or singing though. You wish there was a video? There is a live concert of his at Oakland, California. You can find it on RUclips and the Midnight Special to start with.
I was born 1952. Grew up listening to my older sister's 50s rock and roll. Either the radio was on or records were blasting. Then the 60s hit and whamo! Music burst open! During the 60s and 70s every time you turned on the radio there was one banger band after another and music that engulfed your soul. So much diverse music! So much talent! No computers, no auto tune. Just pure amazing talent. My husband and I moved in together in 1972 and married in 1976. We had a small apartment and not much money, but, we had our album collection and radio and floated on great music everyday and every night. I am so happy to live through this music again with your channel.

Frampton Comes Alive! was the must have album in 1976, and beyond. We ALL had this album back then! Still to this day, it’s one of the best selling live albums of all time. I cannot wait to see your reaction. I cannot wait to relive some of those fuzzy memories of my teenage years in the 70’s…. 😉 😂❤️🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸🎤
@@michellepetrillo2235 omgoodness I am beyond excited!!
I saw him just months before this album came out in Phoenix. I remember listening to this song and thinking that his live performance of the song sounded just like the album version. He was great live!
I had the album too!! 🤤❤️🔥
Copy that 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Every body had this album!
❤It needs to be the live version of them playing in front of the audience. You have to SEE him play!!!!
Agreed, the midnight show!! A must for this song! ♥️
❤Please make sure it's the video you see them. Not just the music playing they are the same music but watching them on the stage will blow your mind!!🎶💿🎵
4:30 central??
@@dianecranker6026Where did u find out what time it starts? I couldn't find anything.
@@Mr.wilson949 it just said 4:30 not which 4:30. I really dont want to miss it!
HE USED THE "TALK BOX" FIRST!!!!🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
No, the talk box got invented by a different person for studio secions, but Peter were the first one who used it on stage.
Fun fact…Alvino Rey in 1939. First to use talk box.
Almost 50 years on.. and I am still clapping along and tearing up
Pure talent , no auto tune, no backing tracks , 100% in your face talent ... Yo go mollyboy down this rabbit hole
I’m 68 and I am indeed going deaf. Our generation’s music was worth it!
Right behind you at 67
Same.
Only 47... but the 90s rocked too 🤘🏼❤️🤷🏻♀️😂
Yep - I'm 77 and have the hearing aids to prove it. Blame it on my youth, I was a musician in the late 60's we supported a lot of the bands reviewed by young Molly, including The Herd (with a very young Peter Frampton).
All those really loud concerts did it to me too but wouldn't trade our music for anything
YES, there is a video performance of this song. It is from Frampton's performance on The Midnight Special, from 1975. 😄
It’s a MUST ❤❤❤
@@Kim-hc5si its TOO short
The MS version is good, but the live album video is fantastic! 😎
Summer of 1976. I'm seven years old and the teenaged sisters that lived across the street played this album all summer. I've owned it since the 80's. Buying this album is like some sort of rock n roll rite of passage or something.
When They used to make Music. Audience maintains.
“I hope to god there’s another solo like that”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂
Don't let amazing guitarists discourage you---let them inspire you. Everyone starts somewhere, so let your love of learning and playing rule your heart.
Great comment 👍
Every great guitar player drew inspiration from others. Let these masters be your inspiration, dedicate yourself to learning what you want to learn and rock on--you can do it!!!
@@stevefilley9765 AGREED, it is a great comment.
His first entry into the charts was in a group called The Herd in the late 60s.
Nothing like 70's,, he's still playing today ❤
So glad you played and liked Pete frampton , true guitar 🎸 genius 😀😀✌️✌️💯👍👍
He's a legend. BTW, he's British. He actually went to school with David Bowie.
He toured with Bowie on his Glass Spiders tour. They played well together.
You’re getting into an era where musicians could actually sing and play instruments.
I'm 70 and when this came out everyone couldn't stop talking about it! The coolest guitar playing ever by Mr. Frampton!
Peter Frampton also played as the main character in Sgt.Peppers lonely hearts club band.
Lots of amazing live albums in that era
I’m 70 and if I died tomorrow I would be happy knowing I grew up listening to the most incredible musicians from my generation. We rocked!!!!
I say the same thing to myself everyday. We had the best music and it got me through a lot of tough times
Born in Beckenham, Kent, England is 74 and is still performing!!!
Dude, everybody wants to hear the talk box again he is the king
Fell in love with when it came out, it made me learn guitar. I still love this
I am so happy that you reacted to this. I was bugging for over a month. Peter Framton live needs to be on stage live. Nobody like him! His passion and skills are unparalleled! Try "Baby I love your way"". If you wanted to react to the stage versions, I bet most people would watch this song again. 💙🕊😁🎵💿🎶
Frampton wasn't recommended before, because you were not ready! Now you're ready!! This is probably the best live album ever!! It's epic.
Another Peter Frampton Baby, I Love Your Way.
Frampton is one of those guys who can make his guitar 🎸 talk, brilliant ✌️✌️
Peter Frampton was so huge, that all the guys in my school wanted to look like him and I'm telling you there were dozens of dudes in Southern California that had that look just in my school. Imagine how the entire country went nuts when this classic live performance came out. It's considered one of the best live performances ever captured on vinyl!
That's alright sweetie, you rewind this as much as you want, at the end of this video I'm going to rewind and watch you hear it again for the first time. My old cheeks are sore from smiling. Its good to know the music we loved will live on pass our generation.
I'm 64 years old and haven't gone deaf yet! Love your reactions!
Man! It's crazy sitting here watchin you go through the same experience that I went through
the first time I heard it.
"Baby, I love your way" is excellent Frampton, and it's so soothing you might find yourself drifting off. Take care of yourself, Molly Boy. 😊
9:37 is why all the people my age were watching. LOL. We wanted to see your reaction. This album and song were huge back in the 70's.
Thanks for doing the correct version, most reactors don’t do this classic version and completely miss out, one of the best live audio versions of any rock song right here 🔥 Peter Frampton is from England, it’s him on vocals and guitar 🎸 and talk box….
I wish I could hear Peter Frampton for the first time again.
One thing I love about Frampton’s guitar here is everything is played with the audience in mind. Nothing to showcase crazy shredding or Olympic grade picking. The musicality just invites you to grit your teeth and laugh at being lifted up.
Frampton Comes Alive is a legendary album.
SO IS BOSTONS Boston LP from 1976 aswel MORE THAN A FEEELIN . AND FOUR PLAY
Rewind when you want. We of course already appreciate the music. We could go watch it ourselves. It is your reactions that are fun to watch.
You're not FULL BLOWN until you watch it LIVE!!!! PLEASE re-react to this LIVE !!!!! great reaction keep it going!!!!!
look for Frampton on the Midnight Special mesmerizing absolutely fire
Thanks for playing this!!! I'm back in Germany in 1976, driving around with my Army buddies rocking out with the cassette I recorded off the album, ❤
You'll love Framptons "baby I love your way"
I've listened to that song too many times to count, and it never gets old.
Class of 77. We loved him big time.
We sure did!!
Class of 75 sounding off.
Peter Frampton Rocks… I feel lucky to have been young then❤️
He is still touring in 2024.
One of the greatest guitar solos of all time, not a shred fest, but skilled, melodic phrasing, oh yeah, the Vox (talk box) solo. Mind blowing....
1976 was a gold mine of the greatest albums of all time! Frampton Comes Alive!, Boston, Electric Light Orchestra - A New World Record, Rush-2112, Steve Miller Band - Fly Like An Eagle, Queen - A Day At The Races, AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheep, Kansas - Leftoverture, Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life, the list goes on and on and on...
I think Molly Boy would really enjoy some E.L.O.
I was thinking the same thing ❤🎉🎉
Best Era of music ❤❤❤
I absolutely love Peter Frampton...LOVE! Lines On My Face...what a beautiful song❤❤❤
There’ s a live concert in RUclips recorded in 7/2/1977 in Okland, with this song
