"Namamekashiki ansoku, tamerai ni hohoemi" means "captivating rest, smile in hesitation". This performance is taken from their TOUR16-17 FROM DEPRESSION TO ________ [mode of THE MARROW OF A BONE].
Translating this was very fun, it was one of the first songs by Dir en grey that I remember being really captivated by.

This beautiful song comes with quite straightforward lyrics, so there's only one annotation this time:
"Even this fading existence will be too late - Even now I still don't realize that I was crying in vain" - Both these lines have a word in them that refers to "the state" of being late and "the state" of not realizing. I hope I was able to preserve this nuance.

Kyo will die on that stage if it meant getting his message across. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for his message. I hope Kyo knows how many lives he's saved.
I wouldn't go as far as saying "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for DEG" but.. they have 100% shaped my life and I am so, so, so, SO grateful for that. I love this band more than I love most people. As far as the lyrical message goes, I have 0 idea what it could be because I'm one of those dumb western fans with no more knowledge of Japanese than "arigatou". But even still, there's no other band in the world that even gets close to reaching me in that one, special way than they do with every single album and every single live show.
My hope is that they are aware of how many people they just managed to reach in this way, hopping miles over the language barrier.
