Kyo will die on that stage if it meant getting his message across. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for his message. I hope Kyo knows how many lives he's saved.
I wouldn't go as far as saying "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for DEG" but.. they have 100% shaped my life and I am so, so, so, SO grateful for that. I love this band more than I love most people. As far as the lyrical message goes, I have 0 idea what it could be because I'm one of those dumb western fans with no more knowledge of Japanese than "arigatou". But even still, there's no other band in the world that even gets close to reaching me in that one, special way than they do with every single album and every single live show. My hope is that they are aware of how many people they just managed to reach in this way, hopping miles over the language barrier.
Feel ya I love this song, it might low key be their best ballad, imho. On a technical note too, that going back and forth between 6/4 and 4/4 is just soooooo beautiful. Truly inspiring, on every level.
Im glad you guys enjoy the versatility of dir en grey, they have as many good ballads as they do aggressive songs. check it out "Kaishun" or "vanitas" or maybe "conceived sorrow" ✨✨✨
In my opinion that's one of their most emotional songs and I'm glad you liked it :) They do have some of the most beautiful ballads out there for sure.
Here you go :) It's more like "emotionally similiar and balladesque" not that much soundwise as their sound changed too much throughout the years. I highlighted the most similiar songs with plusses + akuro no oka (2024 remake) + Oboro (2022 the live version is waaaaaay different to the album version. The album version is beautifully sad, the live version ... emotionally crazy) Otogi (2022) Kamuy (2022) + Aka (2018) Ranunculus (2018) Tousei (2014) ++ Behind a vacant image (2014) Kukoku no kyouon (2014) ++ Vanitas (2011) +++ Ware Yami tote (2008) +++ Inconvenient ideal (2008) ++ Conceived Sorrow (2007; from the same album as the song you liked) +++ The Pledge (2007 from the same album as the song you liked) + Higeki ha mabuta wo oroshia yasashiki utsu (2005) Itoshisa ha fuhai nitsuki (2005) embryo (2002) undecided (2002) Mushi (2002) ==> you will love the guitars +++ ain't afraid to die (2001) ++ Zakuro (2000) Macabre (2000) or even better the remake from 2013 ++ Hotarubi (2000) (mazohyst of dacadence 1999) Akuro no oka (1999) You should also check out "Elisabeth addict" from the singers second band sukekiyo :) Such a beautiful song! Sukekiyo has lots of beautiful balladesque songs too :)
Is it my New Year present? Ware, yami tote and Namamekashiki ansoku at the same time, my gooooood. My heart is just broken. Thank you so much Eva for requesting it! These are my all time favorites and I'm so glad to see reactions to them, especially to Namamekashiki. That performance deserves so much more attention. You truly made my day! ♥️
If there's a translation of The World of Mercy from the band, then I would strongly suggest you react to that song. I think its one of the best songs theyve written in years. EDIT: Their passion to their craft, and their energy is just one of the most unique bands in the world. A world class gem of a band. Truly
No,we taste the pasta to know if it's"al dente" , but yes you could throw it on the wall, and it should stick if it's cooked, but even overcooked it will stick the same...so, don't do it, taste it! Love your reactions 💜
wow, yeah, one of my favorite too! emotions in this song are always a little too much. but acoustic ver of it is even more beautiful, I recommend everyone to check it out 😅
