  • Looking for a 3D printer enclosure for you Prusa MK4 or Prusa Mini? Do you want to upgrade your LACK Enclosure but feeling uninspired by the current enclosures because of their design or price?
    With over 5 years of experience sourcing and selling enclosures, I'm thrilled to introduce 3D Sourcerer's newest 3D printer enclosure kit - the DELACK Enclosure!
    The DELACK Enclosure aims to offer a complete enclosure kit at a reasonable price for Prusa MK4 and Prusa Mini owners (as well as Prusa MK3). While the IKEA LACK Enclosure has been the go-to enclosure for Prusa owners for many years, our hope is that the DELACK will be a good alternative for anyone looking to upgrade from the LACK or anyone looking for an affordable enclosure.
    We have spent hundreds of hours refining the prints for this enclosure so that everything prints WITHOUT supports. We've also made every part and accessory printable on the Prusa Mini, which was very important to us.
    We'll have more details soon regarding the multiple accessory prints that will be available at launch - make sure you are subscribed to follow along for updates!
    As far as the price goes, it will be comparable to the IKEA LACK Enclosure when you account for all of the costs that go into the LACK Enclosure. The DELACK will be substantially cheaper than the Priusa Enclosure... but it will have many of the same features and upgrades. We will have a price comparison video coming soon, so stay tuned!

    The most important thing about an enclosure is not showing up, figure it out.

    my understanding is that the PSU dosent like to be inside enclosures, in deed the official recomendarion from Prusa is to always relocate the PSU outside any enclosure, you think its possible to add a mod that allows the PSU to be relocated outside ?

      I’ve had multiple printers in enclosures for years without any issues. Unless you’re printing at like 300C in an unconditioned basement in the summer, I doubt you’ll ever have an issue.
      That recommendation is just so they can say “told you so” if someone complains about having issues, but I don’t think it’s warranted. They actually didn’t even have that as a recommendation in their V2 Lack Enclosure until people started asking about it.
      But with that said, you can still run the cable out of the back of the enclosure if you’re really that concerned about it

    Will it be possible to just get the hardware (the corners, edges, hinges etc.) so it can be added to larger plexiglass walls? That way a diy situation would enable housings for way larger printers like the Neptune 3 Plus or Max... :)

      @madebyjwillis  11 месяцев назад

      Not currently - we order everything in bulk, but we might consider a larger version in the future

    Height. Is it tall enough to accommodate the MMU3 for the MK4? Also, the LED light uses two of the plexiglass filament holes. Will there be a design adjustment for that? Or, something I can drill on my own.

    • @madebyjwillis
      @madebyjwillis  8 месяцев назад

      There’s 5 holes on the back for filament holes - if you want to use the top filament holes, you can remove the light.
      We finalized this before the MMU3 was out, so I can’t say for sure it it works or not.
      If you want an enclosure that definitely works, we also sell the Universal Enclosure that’s made for the MMUs

    Must be missing something obvious but WHAT is included in the Kit. Your website does not make clear what comes in the box. Thanks.

      Everything that isn’t a printed part - there is an entire page on the project listing of exactly what’s included - it has WHAT’S INCLUDED at the top

      @madebyjwillis  11 месяцев назад

      Thank you! A lot of work went into it - wait till you see the accessories!!
      If you have a small enough printer, it could work! But the size was made primarily for the Prusa series. So it just depends on what printer you have.

  • @JohnOlson

    What dimensions will it be? Will it fit on top of a Lack table?

    • @JohnOlson
      @JohnOlson 11 месяцев назад

      Also, one suggestion.. handles to lift off the enclosure when you need to service the printer.

    • @madebyjwillis
      @madebyjwillis  11 месяцев назад

      It’ll fit perfectly on a Lack table - it’s 550mm x 400mm ish (can’t remember the width off hand, but it gives the MK4 a few cm on each side). So it’s narrower than the LACK but the exact same length. That way everyone can reuse their tables when they DELACK! Haha

      It’s a third of the price and has more features so besides stacking (which I’ve never seen anyone do) it’s a great alternative
