This song was on a compilation I picked up at Hotlanta in 1995.. One of 12 copies, and I lost the CD 10 years ago. Have hunted for this everywhere... My ex Edwin (RIP) and I LOVED LOVED LOVED this song!
You should have stayed. What a life we would have had. What a life you missed. What a Wonderful life I am Blessed to have. I got better with age. I will always remember you..
I remember a tape from Mark Farina from probably 94 or 95 that had this on it. So magical. never knew it would be so easy to just find it! RUclips keepin house music alive.
seeking Sade house mixes always leads me on a journey to my dreams and I always forget where I left off,, just amazing the beauty and talent of her voice, her skills,, when combined with such talented DJ artists,, LOVE IT.
When I would play this out back then - even at some of the more mainstream venues - many people from all walks would want to know where they could get this version.
and it's still alive, you just have to go looking for it again! I've seen Frankie Knuckles, Garth, Jeno, Mark Farina, Halo, Fred Everything, Marques Wyatt, all in the last 6 weeks probably. It's been spiritual reconnecting with my house roots.
Ooooh My Gooood!!! I was looking for that version of this remix song since my frist time I discover the after hours clubber scene in 1997 at The Playground Montreal. It's at that place I've enjoyed for the first time the deep House music with... Sade! :)
@madmicmar "Musk Men" is one of Hani's aliases. He used this alias for his record (Musk Men-I never thought) back to 1995. An unofficial release called "Various - Danny Tenaglia Greatest Remixes Vol. 2" was released at 2004 included 6 tracks, 4 of the finest Danny Tenaglias remixes and 2 more, Sade's "I never thought I'd see the day" (Hani remix) and an uncredited & unreleased remix of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams"... so don't be confused. I think I 've solved your queries about it! :))
+rareroses77 yeah i have on greatest hits of dany tenaglia and have also another remixes from her but maybe this one its my fav kenny larkin one its also big :)
The track was copyrighted on 16 February, 1993. It is likely that Junior Vasquez's remixes were made around this time also (given his involvement in many Prince-related tracks from 1989-1992), but this is unconfirmed. Others credit Danny Tenaglia.
They use to play this in Limelight, I was like a club kid for a good 3 years( 1994 to 1996). Aphrodite and Kenny K worked the velvet ropes. the velvet ropes started at club 54, its original intent was to stop the hookers from getting into the club. True story! Now Club 54 was a shooting star, it was before my time. However, there is a documentary about the club. That's where I learned the origin of the velvet ropes that are ubiquitous now. This gives me butterflies in my stomach to this day. Not only am I a huge Sade fan but with this smooth techno-lite beat it's amazing. As a matter of fact, when I was going to the limelight we would take route 3 east and ultimately took the Lincoln tunnel in, but as you drove the overpass there was a big sign with Sade on it. I would always ask her to bless us with a great night. And, pray to God Kenny K or Aphrodite weren't in a bad mood and didn't open the ropes for us.
If you’re reading this right now know that you & I are forever connected through this track 👊
So much love and emotion is Sade tracks. Let’s give a hand to the queen that is Sade

I had this mix on cassette and used to listen to it _everyday_ . Very rare indeed. Good gosh, NYC was absolutely magical in those days.
Yes ethereal! I remember hearing this at the twilight right before the sun came up! and ,all the house-dancers swaying to the beat!
When I would play this out back then - even at some of the more mainstream venues - many people from all walks would want to know where they could get this version.
