Three really entertaining and fascinating videos that show so much. Looks like the experience of a lifetime. If only I had both the time and the money I'd go myself. I love the F❄️CKIN FREEZING hat too, where is it from? I want one!
Enjoyable & informative video series. I'm looking into a future Antarctica expedition cruise I noticed in your video you got changed for off ship excursion in your room. Was that just "for show" and does the ship have a mudroom or do you actually have to change in and out of "off ship" clothing in your room? From my RUclips research, it seems that selecting a ship with a mudroom is important because the clothes can be wet and damp and if you have to hang them in your room to dry out, the room can get musty. I was really interested in doing a snorkel excursion, but from what I can see, it doesn't look like Hurtigruten offers this on their cruise...
Hi John, We had to get changed in our room just like I demonstrated, and there are a LOT of layers. The boots are the most cumbersome. When you come back on the ship, you wash your boots in the disinfectant. Hurtigruten gives you a big red waterproof jacket so you really don't get wet. Actually, the only time we did have wet clothes was when we (foolishly!) did the polar bear plunge and swam in the sea. We hung our clothes in the bathroom and the ship has heating so it was never musty at all. The only excursions that are extra on the ship are kayaking and camping on the ice; everything else is included. I have never heard of snorkeling on any cruise line, it's toooo cold!! I hope this helps. Mandy
@@destinationeverywhereUSA Thanks. I learned that snorkeling is only offered on Aurora cruises (for extra charge) and specific diving/snorkeling cruises (much smaller ships)
So enjoyed watching this video of Antarctica and the fabulous penguins in their natural habitat.
Aww thank you so much. They are such happy little creatures and it makes me smile just watching them.
