I really love that when deciding to make a heroic counterpart to the sawyer family, absolutely no one thought about making them sane, calm, or down to earth. Instead they picked a guy who will walk into a funhouse nightmare realm with his own diegetic theme music and three chainsaws. By the point he walks into that room he is every part as batshit as Chop Top, it's just that he has (by our standards) better goals. I also love that Drayton's guesses about who would be out to stop him basically go as far as "the burrito place down the corner"

I think the reason why critics so savaged this film was because it wasn't ANYTHING like the original. In this one, Hooper went over the top with blood, violence, etc. In the original, he made you see things that really didn't happen! I loved this film; laughed my ass off through most of it. It has some of the best comedic exchanges--better than most "comedies" of today. Jim Seidow absolutely killed me!
I want more movies with power tool duels and fight scenes. I want to get people fighting each with electric drills or hedge trimmer vs chainsaw. That's how good this scene is. I am tired of CGI schlock fests, stupid formula remakes, PC remakes no one asked for, and medicore super hero movies. Why can't we get someone fighting a chainsaw wielding maniac with a broadsword in a movie for once? Hollywood needs to make this happen.

I love this movie so much! It’s a fun sequel, and is an altogether badass horror film! It has everything you would want Horror, violence, blood and gore, and action. And it literally ends in screams. One of my favourite horror movies

Hopper used the a couple times in a couple movies, love every line in Blue Velvet, True Romance and Rivers Edge: "Check's in the mail!" "You got any Bud in bottles?" He and Jim Siedow were legends, "Burned my beans bad." "Whup, one of those hard shelled peppercorns."

Equally as captivating as Dennis was. This movie is so jam packed full of quotable quotes.... quotes so relevant to today. They give ya something to home to take home with ya. "I'm the lord of the harvest" "whose that? Some new health food group?" " small business man always always always gets it in the ass"... these quotes are real.. they apply to everyday life. I seriously suspect hooper and the writers were awoken people. These are fantastic play lines.... in my honest oppinion... some of these quotes are right on par with some of the most ancient of Alchemical and mystical quotes every written.. such as 16th century alchemist Phillip Theophpratus Bombast. The great medical physician who paved the wY for modern chemistry. The quotes in the movie don't have chemistry... they have ALCHEMISTRY.
Lefty is one of my top 10 when it comes to Horror movie heroes. I put him right next to Ash from Evil Dead, Nancy Thompson from Nightmare on Elm Street, Tommy Jarvis from Friday the 13th, and others.
