Given the day after my 18th birthday. Elder Scott is speaking right to my soul. I was one of those youth he was addressing. To me, Elder Scott is the most Christ like of the apostles I've known and his voice that of a comforting angel.
I haven't to church regularly for a few years now, but I like listening to these talks. I hoping one day I can get past my issues and go to church, and feel connected to it as I never have. I just believe in all the good things taught, without benefiting in the Spirit, like he talked about here. Nice talk.
No one that attends church is perfect so you shouldn’t feel unwelcome or that you need to be perfect in order to attend. You’re in good company with the other people who are attending church. We’re all trying to follow the Savior’s example and be better than we currently are.
Someone at church might be feeling lonely and needs you to sit beside them. Where I attend, I do not speak the language well and even though I am in the RS Presidency, I struggle many Sundays not to feel outside the group because of my language issues. I am so grateful when someone will sit beside me and speak very slowly to me so that I can understand. I invite you to find someone to sit beside and be their friend.
Don't worry, the Lord doesn't live in a building built by organizations. However, this man is a great speaker! It's worth tracking down all his speeches. His body has been dead for a while now, but wherever his soul is, he's helping others, regardless of their level of involvement in organized religion.
Thank you Elder Scott, opening this video just a right time in my sadness bc me too i feel rejected and misunderstood of my 4siblings and i became feeling depress but your words is uplifting and i feel renewed.thank you🙏
It's interesting to listen to the past generations of Church leadership speak. I think sometimes we view these men a certain way, and so to witness Elder Scott, speak from his heart is something I don't think we appreciate enough. Sometimes when we let down our armor, we reveal our weakness, and that act...if done carefully and wisely, can inspire others to take courage and grow with you, but that's my own perspective, and it may be incorrect.
I love the gospel, I love those righteous man that are here to help all of us to live a righteous life as God has commanded. I love our Prophet Russell M Nelson and all the apostles of the church. I know this Church is thru and that my Savior lives and loves all of us. This is testimony in the name of my Savior amen
This talk answered many of my questions about me. I appreciate very much that you use personal testimonials of your Servants . It able to speak VOLUMES to me, in powerful ways that don't go over my head, I can and do understand. I appreciate knowledge that's shared in this manner. Thank you, Bear Idler
Very inspiring and wonderfully practical. Charity placed firmly on ourselves to discover its power through sacrifice and righteousness. 4 principles that are key to growing a Christ like character and key to self worth.
One of my favorite quote from Elder.Orson F.Whitney about trials. But can i ask someone to help me.. to know of who say this quote" i cannot promise you eased i cannot promise you freedom from downright ,but i can promise you that you will grow as you will never grow before" .......... this is one of my favorite quotes and my motivation...
This was enlightening. Thank you!

His message comes from the Book of Mormon. In case anyone else was trying to figure out the scriptures he was referencing.
