FYI: seatbelts on coasters are just for show 99 percent of the time. The chance of the restraint loosening is so unlikely I don’t even think it’s happened in the uk before. The smiler accident was 100 percent human error
Not even chatting shit on the oblivion clip the exact same thing happened but the harness restraint thing went like half way up.
@@amankaushal5371 the restraint is locked in place, the seatbelt isnt required but just adds a bit of extra reassurance for the rider. the only the reason the restraint moves is to give a bit of breathability so its not too tight i think

@@amankaushal5371 not right to the top. research it. rides would not be made so when the seatbelt comes out the restraint flies all the way up. that literally breaks health and safety regulations. and considering the ride is still running today i think everything’s fine lol

okie dokie, lemme explain: galactica, formerly air, was ‘rethemed’ for the 2016 season and introduced the VR. it was the first fully dedicated VR coaster, but it wasn’t greatly received as people didn’t think it suited the ride, as well as the constant cleaning and adjusting between rides slowing down the transfer time. consequently, for 2017/18 only 2/3 rows had it so you could have a seat without if you wanted. it was fully removed in 2019 and hasn’t been on since :))
i also believe that this should’ve been top 10 scariest coaster types, cus some of these aren’t scary (i’m a massive alton towers fan but galactica and oblivion are NOT the scariest of their kind.) for example, both saw and oblivion are dive coasters (by definition they are two separate types but do essentially the same thing), so are both part of the ‘scariest’ type. just a little tip for the original creator :)

10:35 when i went to germany i went into a bunch of different things like that. it's really funny because i had to go with my cousin because he was too small to go alone, so i just went full speed. it's also terrifying because you can feel the gravitational pull trying to fling you off the side of the mountain at a turn. definitely one of the most exciting things i've ever done. it was also DEFINITELY faster than 25 mph

I went on a VR rollercoaster for the first time and it was quite a cool experience. It was a Superman themed one where basically the "story" in the ride was getting a tour around Metropolis as we were in a "cable car". Suddenly Lex Luthor in his suit crashes in and lifts us high into the sky and then drops us and just we were about to "fall to our deaths", Superman saves us and lifts us up only to be knocked away by Lex and tries to crash us to the ground again and vice versa. We also felt the "explosions" as well as other things.
While the rollercoaster feeling is still there, it was a whole new experience because we were immerse into that story and setting we were visually in.
I never knew how much I needed a sidemen Sunday at an amusement park till now. Please make it happen 😂

I done the Galactica one at Alton Towers and it’s actually amazing. Not sure of what happens as you have the headset on but it’s like your going through space and stuff it’s actually one hell of an experience as I don’t own a VR headset

9:12 I did this ride and made the mistake of riding it with my glasses on. As we went over the top of the loop, I had to hold them onto my face to prevent them from falling off. We (me and a few old friends) went on (in succession) Vortex, Colossus, Saw: The Ride, Samurai and Nemesis Inferno. After lunch, two of them went on The Swarm (this was back in 2013 when the last two rows went through the coaster backwards). Also the day I was introduced to the Bon Jovi song “Wanted Dead Or Alive”. Memories...!

You call these TAME I am terrified to go on a small roller coaster let alone these. I always feel like the cart will derail or I will fall out or the coaster will stop mid loop. Probably doesn't help I am scared of heights

I’m a season pass holder at Cedar Point. My all time favorite ride there is Gate Keeper. Best seat is front row, left side, outter seat. 10/10 recommended.

If you want to go to a cool theme park I'd recommend Glenwood caverns adventure park, in Colorado, its basically a small amusement park on top of a mountain and is built around the caverns, for which if you actually go, try to get tyler as your tour guide for the caves, he was the best lol
we have something like the twister coaster where I live. It's called possessed (at dorney park) and the friction on it makes a sort-of screaming sound while riding it back and forth.
Six Flag: Great Adventure's King Da Ka isn't the only scary one in Jackson, they have Daredevil Dive. Heck, even Freefall was scarier than some of these.

Bro I went Thorpe Park last August when lockdown was lifted for the first time and there was way too many people there and half the rides were closed for maintenance. When lockdown get lifted again, its going to be rush hour everywhere.
@@Dannylooooor I went in July, when they had restricted access, the longest queue I was in was 45mins, and you could get pretty much any seat you wanted, in fact the queue for the swarm was empty pretty much all day, you could walk through the whole thing lmao
I once went with my dad for my birthday and swarm had about a two minuet queue for some reason so we got to go on about 5 times in 20 minuets, hopefully i can go with him for my birthday this year as lockdown ends around my birthday
