Great video. I was able to do the oil and filter change without raising the vehicle. I do have long arms so not a problem. You don’t have to get under the car if you can reach it from the front. The first change I used an inspection mirror to peer into the cavities after removing the access panels. Now I can do it by feel.
When the washer is stuck like that, I usually channel lock the crush washer and unscrew the bolt with a socket wrench. I want to avoid as many metal shards flying around during oil changes as possible... especially with a Hyundai 😉
A top mounted cartridge filter isnt all that bad actually. To mount a cartridge filter on the bottom is ridiculous. Environmental impact or not its just plain stupid. A standard spin on or top mount cartridge would have just fine. Now there are 2 drain plugs and practially double the labor time to do all this. Remove/replace covers amd shrouds, 2 plugs. Dumb
Where would you say on the hashmarks is the ideal level after filling and running the vehicle? In the video it looked like 3/4 of the hashmark was the level.

GOOGLE why these engines have a dipstick forcing 6 qts of oil. it came with a 5 qt in original design. ill bet after you find out why you will sell the car very quckly.
@Mudpuddle now you have a car worth buying. fun fact: the 2.5 smartstream was developed in part by mitsubishi. hyundai did not like something they did and took the project on their own. they should have let mitsubishi finis it and you may have had a great engine family.
Terrible video. Either need to get stand to hold the camera phone or get someone else to hold it. Way too much movement. And really, does it take a video for someone to change the oil in a Tucson?

This is overly complicated and difficult.
It wasn't designed for ease. Its less material for an environmental impact. But yeah they suck.

Yes. If i let it sit for about 10 minutes it will be full mark when checked or close to it.

Software update ..took a while to download at dealer . DATA Was cleared , had to be be ALL RE INSTALLED ..FOR ..all LIGHTS ..ITS ON THE WEB

I have a 2023 Tuscon SEL AWD with the convenience package, yes dealer told me 6 quarts, i do it every 4500-5000, i dont believe in 8000.
I'd recommend every 3,700
