In 2019, I had the thought, “my thoughts are going to kill me”. I was full of despair, sadness, grief, and suicidal. I then decided I need to drown my thoughts with God’s thoughts about me. I listened to the Word of God for hours, the louder the thoughts of despair etc, I turned up the volume on The Word of God so loud I literally could not think of anything else. I fell asleep listening to it, up in middle of night, turned it on again. I did every day all day for 2 years!!!!! I’m a different person now. When the thoughts start whispering, on go the headphones or I sit and read my Bible.

This feels so similar, thank you. Those thoughts of despair does seem to sneak up on me but like you said the word of God can and will over power them if we allow it.
I needed this I’ve been struggling and drowning myself in my thoughts not knowing what to do😔
I did this 30 years ago without RUclips😉Just reading my bible, talking to God instead of listening to those scary voices. And when I woke up in the middle of the night after nightmares I prayed. I talked to God on paper, I listened to gospel on cassette😉And because the suicidal thoughts and whispering started as soon as I woke up, I set an alarm for 5am, prayed, read my bible and then went to sleep again and slept well. The voices came back eventually but God was stronger. This was my daily routine for 2 years. God is good😍

Another thing about the seeing versus hearing illustration is that when Grayson saw Makai moving, he wanted to do what he was doing. Only being able to see and not hear, makes us focus on what God is doing in other's people's lives instead of ours, which can breed anxiety and Jealousy because we SEE him working in other peoples lives and are unable to HEAR what he wants to do in ours.
One day I will praise with the children of God in the house of the lord, transformation church in Jesus name I will.🤞🏾🤞🏾

Powerful Sermon, I feel like My Strength has resume because my Thoughts were taking me away 😪 to Hell but I was not about to reach because there is savior to teach me and hear him so I can do what he has guided me .
While God loves us, he doesn’t want us to remain in sin. Even we are not under the law, God expects us to live righteously and not get comfortable in sin

I asked for confirmation yesterday, and I got it today. I remembered God telling me this exact same message in 2013. He said, "that is not what I have told you about me." OH this moved me greatly.
That is so true Pastor Charles! Most people don’t believe because of what they heard. That’s why we have to get to know Jesus for ourselves.

This message was the 1 and the 2. I can not wait for the next message. Thank you Holy Spirit for this word. We all needed to HEAR this. Before I started waking with Christ I did not accept Lord as my savior because of what I heard about Him and how people used the Lord’s word to control people and conquer nations. But God, Amen. But Holy Spirit led me to Jesus so I can have a personal relationship for myself without all the noise. Thank you Lord for your love.
I loved the demonstration that Charles illustrated with his friend. People often look at people and judge a person off of what they heard. They don't even know that person. The person could literally be the polar opposite of their opinion. Besides, you never know what someone else is going through. Also, the demo about trusting God's voice was enlightening as well. It kind of reminds me of a song. And it really could all be so simple.

Pastor Charles Metcalf, You deserve your flowers. I know you've struggled with nervousness while preaching the word. You have great influencers in CHRIST and I presume it's hard to follow them without subconsciously comparing yourself to their gift of speaking. I wanted to take the time to say your messages and words are JUST as POWERFUL. I was word to see the shift in comfortability on stage when you dove into the word. As you say "That's so GOOD", during Pastor Mike Todd's sermon- I said it for you (though from home). Pastor Michael Todd is blessed with a gift, BUT SO ARE YOU! We ALL walk our own path and have our own lane with CHRIST!! May GOD keep blessing ALL Transformation Church! Please know you save lives one post, one day, one sermon at a time- I've been blessed with Revelations from EVERY listen. Thank you, and GOD bless!

I KNEW immediately that I needed to hear this sermon because I saw a preview of it on TikTok, and God used Pastor Charles to deliver a message to me. I have been trying so hard to stop thinking that I have to be perfect -- because there are so many laws and standards that society places on people who like myself, who make mistakes. Yet, God still loves me through it, and I need to just understand that I am in a safe space, no matter the circumstances. God knows me better than I know myself, and I know that I need to adhere to his heart more than I adhere to what I have HEARD.

I was going strong for a while and then chaos erupted around me. My family isn't connected to God, my job was overworking me, and I lost my beloved dog. I just stopped and the devil thought he won but I am a fighter. I have caught to what I missed which was cuffing season. Your translation from being able see or hear, was wonderful. You see but without being able to hear, we lose direction. I hope to hear you more Pastor Charles! I wish I lived in Tulsa. Many God continue to lead you and your family. Thank you!

I LOOOVED THIS MESSAGE! For so long I turned away from God, didn’t want to go to Church, not because of God but because of what I HEARD about God, What people told me about him! It wasn’t until I HEARD God on my own that I started my faith journey and realized that many people create an image of God in order to be self-serving & Prideful, as a way to VALIDATE the HATRED in THEIR hearts, not God’s. I just hope I can spread that same unconditional, nonjudgmental love that God had for me
