Seeing them live, it was hard to take my eyes of any of them. But because Saiki presence, voice and movements were so compelling, drawing in my attention until I had to see what she was doing, I came back to her performance again and again. Band-Maid has powerful synergy as a band. But Saiki knows she's the one who must - and can - focus the experience to a laser-hot pinpoint. And after her verse or chorus delivery, she releases you to allow the others the spotlight -- a selfless characteristic and mark of the perfect frontwoman for an ensemble of strong, equal talent. The Band gels because of their unique individuality, love and respect for each other. Band-Maid is a joy to behold! Thx, V. & Jason!
As much as we focus on the other Maids, we always come back to Saiki-san. She is totally mesmerizing and captivating!
@@TlanImass I've seen them four times and always get a spot between Misa and Miku, to get a view of them and Akane. I lean toward the rhythm section. Then I spend half the show watching Saiki.
The long awaited rerelease of puzzle on their channel was a thing of beauty. Much like the acoustic version of this that features Kanami and Saiki. Which completes the puzzle.
You guys really should now listen to the acoustic version because it shows the creative way Kanami writes music.
Love the Mighty Miku Kobato's backing vocals always but here we really get a chance to hear them. Soaring would be the sdjective to use for the Magnificent Minch's solo and too damn short. Sorry I'm greedy! The greatest rhythm section currently active in the rock and roll music universe lay down the foundation. The Unparalleled Saiki Atsumi weaves a dark tapestry of disappointment and loss with her beautiful voice. Thank you for your review!

Nicest thing to see and hear is Miku's intro for Kanami's solo, as well as her fantastic backing vocals throughout the song. This is becoming a two guitar band- Ref. Rick Derringer (Johnny Winter)/Dickie Betts (Allman Bros).
This song is an absolute masterpiece. And it works so good as an acoustic too - which you'd never guess if you just heard this one. It's a double whammy masterpiece.

I haven't listened to much else since discovering BAND MAID 4 years ago ..... However ... I just discovered a Band from Ukraine (a few line up changes as they are so young and parents moving away from the war).
They are called "The Sixsters" ... well worth a look guys.
Please give em a crack cos honestly, it's another rabbit hole to go down.
I'd suggest "Fever" - "Feels" and "Holds" to kick you off.
You will NOT be disappointed.

I'm always looking for new music and I see that this is an all-female band. I like that! Their sound is more relaxed compared to male bands, something I've started to prefer in recent years. So thanks for the tip!

I strongly urge you guys to take a look at the live acoustic version of this song. Lust Kanami on guitar & Saiki singing.. Same song but with a completely different feel. The depth of pain & emotion in Saiki's voice cuts the Soul. But the pureness of Kanami's backing vocals makes it whole again.
