Jesus, this is the best bass gear advice I've ever heard from anyone. I expected a virtuoso, but I did not expect a bass player to know all the physics involved and to advise that we sound check based on that information. Maybe people have a practical sense, and maybe people have a good theoretical knowledge, but I don't find many who turn theory into practice so beautifully.

Man! I knew clicking this video would be helpful in some way. Victor Wooten is such a genuinely helpful person. Every video I’ve seen him talking in it’s been just as nice as his playing. Im not sure if my 600w rms 2x10 is loud enough with my 150rms amp for shows since I’ve only heard it in our rehearsal space but now I’m reminded the wavelengths need space to form and I might be playing louder than I can currently hear in this environment 😅

ampeg svt 7 pro with a 4x10 neo cab at 4 ohms ,handles the 7 pro on wheels. with a boss eq 200. ,switching mids and eq for each bass.

Often putting your mids and highs thourhg a 15 rather than an array of 10s will sound better as you will get less off axis comb filtering.
