This is a great version of this classic. Like another poster wrote,"So raw." Fantastic. Love the drums.
This is so much more real and fun than the hit version. The vid that goes with it, well, doesn't seem to go with it, as in, looks shot for tv (or something) while the song sounds as if it was a studio or basement. At this late date, the more real the better, as it's all we have. Thanks for posting this.
That's my voice announcing the song at the beginning. You can hear that Marc played an A minor chord, the second chord of the chorus. Most cover bands play an A major chord.

Siouxsie Sioux's a huge Marc Bolan fan. She's cited the album this single's from, "Electric Warrior" ,as her favourite rock album of all time. Not that she's a clone (she's a great singer in her own right), but it's evident his singing style influenced hers. She often likes to do that Bolan-esque quavery vibrato thing often at the end of song lines, just like Marc!
Very nice of you to tell us about Siouxsie Sioux's singing style being greatly influenced by Marc because she's most likely pretty good, so I'm going to check her out, but sure wish she WAS a Marc Bolan💜 clone.
I don't know for sure, but the remastered CD of Electric Warrior may contain this track as I know that a few outtakes were included on this disc as well as 5.1 surround sound.

She was never charged and denies that they had been drinking. She says she simply hit a bad place in the road and lost control. She had injuries but obviously mild in comparison to his fatal injuries.

Apparently Gloria was never tested for alcohol or drugs since she was never charged & what really bothers me is I have never heard.her say or anyone else ever say they heard her say she was sorry or felt bad or guilty about crashing the car that caused Marc's💔 death. Seems like the only thing she ever talked about was how bad she was hurt with no mention of how Matc's💗 family & friends & his band mates & associates as well as all of us fans across the world that love him were also hurt. by his death.. Also, I feel sad to wonder about what else he certainly would have recorded & accomplished in his natural lifetime, but not a word said by Gloria of a similar thought or regret about what could have been in Marc's💜 future or even how his son Rolan sadly lost his father.🙄😬😒🤒😟😥

It should've been released like this - the single was over-produced - GUESS WHY - so it can be a hit in the USA - that's Universally Superficial in America.
There's some pinch harmonics with the edge of your right hand and keeping your pick down near the bridge too.
