I haven't seen a transperson make a video about this its really great that you did.. I kinda just walked in told the doctor how I felt and he gave it to me but I got lucky.. Tyler's way is the smartest
I decided today that I'm ready for testosterone. I'm trying to do as much research as possible before, but I know that I'm ready. I'm so excited for this.
+Straight as a Rainbow Same! Hopefully. I've been going by Gabriel for a while now, I still don't think some people are entirely uncomfortable with it but fuck it. I literally cannot wait for the day it happens.
i'm extremely confused about my gender identity and it's hard because i don't know who to talk to about it but watching your videos somehow comforts me in a way? i don't know how to explain it and i can't put it in words honestly but thanks ty :)
Thank you. I was so confused and unsure about the process. I'm crying. I have so much going on and this information is so important to me. Thank you so much.
Today I made an appointment with a gender therapist and I'm really excited and proud of myself. I've been out as male for quite a while and I feel like things are looking up for now on. This video was really helpful!
I know you posted this video quite a while back but I just wanted to say thank you for this video. I'll be turning 18 soon and starting a new job even sooner. I've already planned a long time ago that whatever money I earn will be placed separately for my own hormone replacement therapy. I'm honestly excited and I cannot wait to start. I've been waiting for this for a long time.
First off, I have to say you're a big inspiration to me and I look up to you a lot. I am a trans guy living in a household that believes being any part of the lgbtqa community is a major sin. Awhile ago my mom even tried to "fix" me by watching videos. So, to avoid the drama, I told my parents I was "fixed" and have been hiding my true self from them. I came out to all my friends a few months ago and they were so supportive of me and immediately started using the right name and pronouns. Yesterday I took another really big step in my transition and I cut all my hair off. Also, I'm going to officially start T next year after I move out of my parents house. You and my friends give me the hope and strength I need. Thank you so much :)
My mom says “wait till 18 I don’t want you adding things that aren’t in your body” or she will say “first let’s go on a spiritual journey” she doesn’t understand it hurts the more and more she forces me to wait
It is wonderful to see you giving important Information to young trans men For many trans man testo is essential to feeling comfortable and happy with themselves Keep up the good work of giving helpful resources!!!
These videos are extremely helpful and I've been sharing them on social media sites for all off the FtM Trans people in the community, including myself! Thank you for these videos! As I said before, very, very helpful!!
This video's information has made me hopeful for my future. I still don't know the finances and stuff and I might not even be able to pay for it right now but this makes it seem easier than I thought it would be. Living in a southern state and already about to be 22 is tough. Thank you.
I recently just had my second visit to the therapist, and my first step was to come out to my mother, who has been homophobic for such a long time. I spoke about it with her just days ago, and she said she would love me no matter what. I been seeing some of your videos and as impressive as your change is, more impressive is all the information. I subscribed, thanks.
I wish I could get on T but my parents dont accept it so they said to me "if you want it so bad wait till your 18" so ya =_= (I'm 14 so I gotta wait 4 years) and it's not even like I've been trans for afew weeks it's been like 3 years (probably longer but I cant remember)
I got my referral from my local doctor the other day, and my appointment with the endocrinologist is in a month. I'm a little bit scared but also really excited asfjöasfsaf
how phenomenal that this information is free to access! incredible! looks like there's no need to pay certain greedy and inconsiderate ~*life coaches*~ with no credentials for answers! cough cough
It brings me so much relief to find another trans man who lives in a small town. I live in a more rural area so the LGBTQ+ community doesn't really have a big presence here and I always feel so alone. But after seeing this video, I'm hoping I can start transitioning soon and maybe become a handsome man like you someday :)
As someone who is on testosterone and just went through the process, you do not need a referral to get on hormones. This is of course only for those who live in California. Check the requirements for each state since they vary.
Not even deadass lying, I told my doctor that I was trans in October, the 7th to be exact. Then 2 days ago i seen a gender therapist. She talked to me, asked me about my life and childhood, talked to my mom and now I'm eligible to go on T in 3 weeks. I hate Michigan most times, but they treat you right.
I'm the first transgender at the veteran affairs clinic in fort worth trying to get testosterone. It has proven to be a lengthy process because they keep telling me they don't know who is going to take care of me when I start my treatment. I'm hoping to start before the month of May is done.
xWESTLAKEx Excellent video content! Excuse me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Mackorny Sexual Booster Blueprint (should be on google have a look)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for Increasing your Libido without the hard work. I've heard some incredible things about it and my friend Sam finally got astronomical success with it.
You make it sound so simple. I really don't think it's that simple at least where I live (Denmark) - there's no help for us here. At least nothing people really commonly know of.
Thanks Ty, very informative :). Got a question, where does the endocrinologist fit into all this? Do you only need to get referred to the endo if the doctor won't prescribe it to you ?
Thank you for the video! I just came out last week to multiple friends and now I'm just waiting for the right moment to come out to my homophobic mother. Next week I plan on going to the mall and getting new clothes and some other stuff to help me pass as male. Hopefully sometime this year after I come out at school I can get in contact with a doctor and have my mom's permission to start taking T
Omg, I was just watching a Noah Finnce video and was curious about testosterone as he is still on injections waiting to get on the gel..I was curious if he couldn't just buy it over the counter and then the rabbit hole led me to a very old video of yours. I thought it was actually Justin Timberlake at first..lol took a couple of seconds to realize that it wasn't...just saying
1.) I think your videos are pretty cool and I find them helpful so yeah c: 2.) I've been questioning my gender and I've been experiencing disphoria lately, and I would normally say that I'm in thw middle of the "gender spectrum" but I still don't like it. I feel as if I was born a guy in a girl's body. I tried to talk to my parents about it but they told me it was a phase. That upsets me because I'm really not comfortable with my parts. Any suggestions on how I can get them to understand? 3.) How hard is using an stp, and what would you recommend? I've been looking at the peecock but after seeing your review I'm not sure. 4.) Does insurance cover testosterone shots? ._.
coming from Scotland, and thank god for having NHS. so we get health care for free. but i had went to a psychiatrist at first and they don't really seem to know what they are talking about when it comes to being transgender, they had said to me it was most likely a phase in life that i will grow out of. witch obviously wasn't true haha. but i found it alot quicker going to a specialist whom deals with gender identification and now after 2 appointments and a second opinion because under 18 yrs, i am now just waiting n a letter of referral to come through the post and hopefully will be gong for my first shot of T in the next week or two. just thought of leaving a bit of advice for people in Scotland, a little from my story :)
I actiualy got on T though informed consent :o which was cool because you don't have to go through all the other hassles if you know that's what you want
Andy Monzon Hey Andy, I think it all depends on where you go and if it's covered by insurance. I go to a clinic in Portland that doesn't accept my insurance, so I pay out of pocket. Luckily, my doctor visits are super cheap. I pay $25 to see my doctor. However, before you start T, you have to have lab (blood) work done, which (for me) costs a little over $100. Keep in mind, you'll probably have to go back a few times (the first year on T) to have lab work done, so they know if they can increase your dose or not. I get my testosterone at Strokeckers, which is Testosterone Cypionate and it cost $60. The prescription is valid for 6 months. I'm not sure how much it cost if you took topical/oral testosterone. Hope that kinda helps.
I'm planning on coming put when I have enough money to pay for everything myself. Plus being pretty young I'll have lots of time to save up, even if it's painful not being able to get it for years
I live in the UK and its already taken 9 months to have my first GIC appointment. Now i have another in 4 months and THEN they will refer me to an adult clinic, in which it'll take another 3 ish appointments (3 months apart) to get on T. It's ridiculous here, I'd much rather live in America and have to save up to pay.
Because I'm 17, I have to see my psychiatrist for at least 6 months before the doctor at Children's Dallas will see me. They have to have the referral before they evaluate me, and if the doctor gives me the go after my evaluation, I'll be able to start testosterone.
I wish it would be that easy in Germany, I'm on my 4th Therapist (the other three told me I was just a homophobic lesbian and that I need to get laid) and by now about 3 and a half years trying for T. Maybe with this doctor it will work. Good luck to anybody out there!
hvmo Adjust the broadcast colors, Luma: I turn the min down almost all the way and turn up the max about 75% then smooth it out. Color curves to flatten out the contrast but usually like to drop the shadows a bit to keep the depth. Then I color correct which varies depending on the location, usually keep the lows normal, adjust the midtones to a more red/orange tone, and the highs to a slightly more yellow/green color. Then I use a contrast plugin to finalize it and touch it up.
Not sure if this is true for all of Nevada, but the part I'm from (Reno, if anyone really cared to know. Maybe someone else from here has found their way to this video? XD) no longer requires a referral letter to begin testosterone. I went to a therapist in the area, assuming that was what I needed to do and she gave me a phone number, said "call them and make an appointment" and after one appointment and some quick lab work, I should hopefully be starting T on Tuesday.
I have watched every one of your videos and they are all so helpful and funny. I was just wondering if you had any tips for coming out to my parents because my dad will be every hard to tell for the reason that he always calls me his " little girl". Can you please help?!
I'm really trying to get on it. Cuz I wanna be an actual guy. That's the path I wanna take. I asked my parents they said no once I couldn't do it. But I wanna ask again on my birthday which is in 2 months may 21 and I'm hoping they say yes. I'll try to explain why I want it and that it will make me happier than ever it's just hard for some reason to talk about it with them..so I'm praying they say yes
Bruh why did I make this so hard for myself. I avoided planned parenthood bc I want to use insurance but of course they can recommend therapist. I thought I needed a dr first.
What's the change of going on T like? I mean socially and physically (does it make you feel different physically). I'm hopefully going on soon (unpredictable thought due to differentiating laws in Australia) and I'm thrilled.
Got my psychiatrist refer letter. Called the endocrinologist but they wanted a refer letter from my primary care doctor. I’m from Kentucky. I’m struggling getting on T.
I just started t I'm 2 days on t I'm using the cream because my doc said I should do it case I'm scared d needles..... Anyways ..... To get on t I went to my family doc asked if she could do it she said no gave me a list of hormone specialists in my area and boom I'm on t after 3 trips to the hospital to get blood work done (: I made it
I'm paying to get testosterone privately in the UK but I need to get a doctor to rewrite my prescription on the NHS meaning I don't have to pay but they refused and were really rude, one called me a silly girl and another told my mam that I should move away to a big city where people like me are accepted 😕
If you don't have all money and doctors...You can go to Tijuana Mexico pharmacy and get testosterone hormones from them sometimes they require a prescription from a local doctor..You can ship the hormones back under your clothes don't say anything to border patrol about this cause they can confiscate the hormones..I did this it last for a year..Tijuana hospital doctors also did a castration surgery on me for 1/4th of what they charge in the us..
Haya I am trans f to m I have resanftly come out to my family that I am some are fine with it any others hate it. My mum and nan new from a yung age but my nan hates me for it has made me homeless and has disowned me over it. I love my family wish that could understand and I desperately won't to be who I am but she hates it. I live in the UK so I kn Lot of things are diffrant. I ask people to use male pronawns and cell me Alex (short for Alexander) I am 20 so family is pritty much ruleing my life of haw I do things. Ur video help me alot thank u for posting it.
Hey man, I was wondering what age you got your psychiatrist at? I'm 16 and I've known I've been transgender ever since I was 11 but I don't know where to start and I feel like I'm just wasting time waiting for something to magically happen... Thanks in advance!
Ok, so I am 18, live in TN and might start T within a year or two. I am going to be in college for maybe 6 years. I plan on moving after college. If I get my referral in TN, start T, move somewhere like New Mexico, will I have have to have a prescription/referral/some type of paper that says I am on T and will need to be prescribed it and all? I'm just kinda worried about it.
@@peanuts9228 thanks for asking, I had forgotten about this comment! I’ve been on T for a little more than 2 years and very happy about it :) also looking forward to top surgery this year
I am transitioning the other way (male to female), but this should hopefully be relevant. I live in the UK, and it seems different over here. I went to my GP, and he said that I have to live full time as female for two years. (I will obviously be getting estrogen, not testosterone.) Is that right?
I got the papers that the t hospital I'll be going to but my therapist said I wasn't ready so I've had them for over year because I left for the summer because I couldn't handle her saying no a thousand times
Today I have an appointment with an endometriosis!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! For all of you who have been waiting and think it is never gonna happen like I did, one day it will and it'll be ok
Do you give yourself your own shot or go to the doctor and get it done? is that even an option to just go get the shot done at the doctor or do you have to give it to yourself.
Do you have to pay for hormone blockers? Random question I know, but no one has said literally anything about them and how to get them, if that makes sense
I plan on starting T when I go to college sense I won’t be home and it’s a good time to start sense I won’t be with my family do you think it’s possible? Tbh I’m happy to be disowned and I’d rather be homeless (plus I have places to go) but yeah I’m trying to plan it out because I only have one more year of Highschool
real quick question. you gotta pay tho right?. and can you get on T at age 15. and to get on shot you have to be older when your "feminine" body is already develop?
I know you've probably been asked this like a million billion times but how long do you think the whole process from the initial first appointment to getting on t will take
I have yet to come out but I am soo terrified I will regret going on T. Any suggestions? I'm already in therapy and such. Is there a way to reverse its effects if you go on it?
Hey, for the past couple months I have identified as a male for myself, and have not come out to anyone yet.. but I want to soon. 1st I want to tell my family to call me Sam.. A little baby step.. but I really want to just tell them how I feel and who I am. I fear my mom wont accept me ( I'm 16 ), but I know my dad will. Any tips on what I should do? I'm even super nervous about just my name change...
Ty was born female? Wow, i never would have guessed that. He looks really good! Keep doin what you're doin man. Impressive. Sorry if i misunderstood the video and other comments, and my first sentence is incorrect.
I asked my family doctor personally about being on testosterone, but I have yet to get any feedback from them, as they needed to do some research on my situation. Would I still need a letter or nah?
could u make a video about how to get on T at a younger age around 13-15?
you can get t when your younger than 15. you would have to get harmone blockers if your younger than 15
+NickCamryn OMG NICK!
+NickCamryn a few months later and you're on T, Nick! v proud.

Meowww🐱 hiii tyyy I love your videos and your story you're so funny much lovee xx
Meow! You're always a cool guy ty!
Bruh why did I make this so hard for myself. I avoided planned parenthood bc I want to use insurance but of course they can recommend therapist. I thought I needed a dr first.
hey IM out and everything and livin my life as a guy and ready to be on T so I hope I can be ready to do that.
To get on t I went to my family doc asked if she could do it she said no gave me a list of hormone specialists in my area and boom I'm on t after 3 trips to the hospital to get blood work done (: I made it
thanks you so much
I'm paying to get testosterone privately in the UK but I need to get a doctor to rewrite my prescription on the NHS meaning I don't have to pay but they refused and were really rude, one called me a silly girl and another told my mam that I should move away to a big city where people like me are accepted 😕
Wow i'm sorry for that
You are strong brave man
believe me :)
Im 46 and ftm

I've been on T for three months but I'm actually self medicating
Do they charge you, like medical bills for testosterone? Or does medical cover it ?
Using this quarantine to think seriously about my gender identity and it’s been made only clearer and clearer I’m a trans guy, excited to get on T!
how do u feel now ?
@@peanuts9228 thanks for asking, I had forgotten about this comment! I’ve been on T for a little more than 2 years and very happy about it :) also looking forward to top surgery this year
I am transitioning the other way (male to female), but this should hopefully be relevant. I live in the UK, and it seems different over here. I went to my GP, and he said that I have to live full time as female for two years. (I will obviously be getting estrogen, not testosterone.) Is that right?
Meow!😂😂 love your vids
I got the papers that the t hospital I'll be going to but my therapist said I wasn't ready so I've had them for over year because I left for the summer because I couldn't handle her saying no a thousand times
Can i ask how much u intake in per shot and normally in one week you would inject for how many times ..
Coping! Coping is what makes you able. It's not that easy for some people what
Today I have an appointment with an endometriosis!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! For all of you who have been waiting and think it is never gonna happen like I did, one day it will and it'll be ok
Do you give yourself your own shot or go to the doctor and get it done? is that even an option to just go get the shot done at the doctor or do you have to give it to yourself.
are you able to tell a local doctor that you want to start on T or do I need to find a therapist first??
How old do you have to be to be prescribed testosterone in the UK, England
What insurance company would be good to help me with these things?
I asked my family doctor personally about being on testosterone, but I have yet to get any feedback from them, as they needed to do some research on my situation. Would I still need a letter or nah?
