Hi dear, you are great, could you make another tutorial on how to change bluetooth pairing password for 12V DC 2 Channel Bluetooth Wireless Relay which provides this feature? Thanks so much for your work.
awesome video thank you...i am having trouble getting the coding right...I have device paired ok...but i am unable to add the on/off functions on the buttons...Also unable to get the relay to work..no red led....any help please.
@@robojax yes sir.. I watched the video.. but I think it should be compatible with the smart life app... If so it would be very easy to set it up.. can you please reconfirm..
My module is very similar to yours, it uses Bluetooth version 2.1 -EDR and nither my PC nor my iPhone is able to recognize or use this 2007 version. Do I need an Android smartfone?
From the Amazon reviews, they don't appears to be super reliable. I'm looking for a 'set and forget' type of relay since for my vehicle application, mine would be hard to get to for where I'm placing mine. Do you know of any other, more reliable bluetooth options, perhaps a solid state relay? I haven't seen any wireless (bluetooth) solid state relays, but I''ve only been searching for a few hours.
it needs 50mA when waiting. 150mA when relay is ON. so you do the math. if your battery is 2000mAh then 2000mAh÷150mA= 16.6h 16.6 hours. but that is when relay is ON. if it is OFF it would last longer 3 times more.
good day...i would like to ask if there's available apps that can ON the relay or within range and out of range, relay is automativally OFF and automatically ON if range is within 10 meters thanks.
I am using a 12-16V lithium battery pack. I have the Relay connected to the bluetooth app, and I can see the red light turning on and off.. but my DC Load is not turning on and off.. I've tried a few different wiring combinations.. but my light is turing on and off. What is the correct wiring for a DC load?
Does the relay click? If you don’t hear click sound of relay then it is not turning ON. Make sure relay clicks. If relay click and it does not turn ON your load then the relay is defective.
The relay click's 100% and I see the LED light up on the PCB. However, how do I know if I have the DC load wired correctly? To the DC load from the relay I would think that from NO Terminal - red (positive wire to LED light) and from COM Terminal - black (negative wire to LED Light) @@robojax I tried a few combinations.. but the light is not turning on.. Do I need an extra wire to connect back to the ground of the battery?
Okay.. my mistake entirely.. I need to go back to Electronics School 101. I forgot that fundamentally a relay is a basically a switch where you are using a LVPS (in this case 12V) to energize a switch to turn on a circuit that is high current or high voltage. I was originally trying to use this as a bluetooth switch and thought that once the relay was "made" that the 12 V from the power supply would flow through to the other end to energize the load.. but that was completely stupid on my part.. the whole idea of a relay is to keep circuits seperate for safety purposes. What I am trying to do is use these 12V lithium battery packs that I have to power exterior work lights around my camp, and to turn them all on and off with my phone remotely. So I can turn the outside lights off when I go to sleep at night from inside my tent. So to get this working correctly on my bench I pulled out a 12 V power supply to power the circuit board.. and then connected my DC circuit on the relay end. It works. But what I want to do is have the battery pack supply the load AND the bluetooth circuit board simultaneosly.. So I should just need to set up a parrellel circuit from my battery pack, one set of the 12 V leads will go to power this PCB, and the other set will be connected on the DC LOAD LED side where the relay is going to act as my on/off switch. There shouldn't be any issues with this right? Both sides will get the same Voltage in a parrallel circuit, the PCB side will only draw 50 or 100 mA of current, and the LED LOAD SIDE (I think the 42 LED light has a spec. of 2.58A.) Is this correct? @Robojax
Can you program it so it automatically switch on when bluetooth is paired turn off when bluetooth is not paired I want to install this to my car so when I come close to me car I want the door be opened

it must be the compatibility issue. Some apps are set such that they ignore older bluethooth protocols. I am not sure how but there should be an option to set the compatibility in either your phone or the app itself. you may do some Bing/Google search.

Great video. Are there any other codes such as a delay code. I would like to press a button that turns on a relay for 5000mS and then turns it off.
can I use a simple bluetooth button instead of the phone to do the exact thing? if yes, how would that bluetooth button connect to the relay?

solid stare relays are for AC. So you need electronic switch which uses MOSFET to turn ON or OFF something. it would have current and voltage rating.
@Robojax have you found one? I am looking for a 12 volt 4 switch that can run on A/C
Any idea if this could be powered by a battery and if so, how long?

when we say Bluetooth, then it is standard for all bluetooth. just google it and see how far your headphone or bluetooth keyboard works.
