jeremy brown Gladly: in the Monsterverse, myths like Typhon, Scylla, Quetzalcoatl, ETC. came from ancient civilizations (In the case of Tyhpon, Greece) from seeing the Titans. So these Titans are the same ones that created the Mythologies, but the Mythology is not an exact reflection of the living being. Does this make sense?
So they are actively acknowledging that Behemoth IS the Mapinguary? I had made that association on my own but I didn't realize this was something that's actually a part of the lore
Yeah, iirc the natives call him Mapinguary in-universe. Honestly, I think it's more fitting than Behemoth, I really wonder why they used that name instead.
Most of the new kaijus are named or based after cryptids and legends of the world. Quetzalcuatl from aztec mythology, behemoth, leviathan and methuselah from biblical lore, Scylla from greek, mokele bembe from africa and yamata no orochi a 8 headed snake from japanese mythology.
Godzilla is a lot older than what you had said. Godzilla is the Alpha for a reason. Being the strongest doesn't mean jack to being an Alpha. By the actual timeline, Godzilla dates back to the Permian period, meaning he is at least somewhere around 250 million years old, meaning he was around even before the dinosaurs were wiped out 65 million years ago.
And to be honest I'm more excited about the aspect of japan getting back Godzilla than I have been with seeing the legendary movies. Sorry but I'm kinda biased
This timeline needs to consider that creatures similar to modern man only appeared about 200,000 years ago (not millions of years). As far as we know, small pockets of civilization started appearing here and there about 10,000 years ago. For the large majority of that time, there were no books, medicine or dentistry, or metals. The only way anybody learned anything is if somebody saw something and then verbally passed it on, so any knowledge obtained was extremely local and simple, and easily lost. The only forms of transportation were legs, sometimes horses, and sometimes simple sailboats. They had fire, they could talk, and they could make stone knives and hammers. Art (cave paintings) was at the level of a modern 7 year old child. Disease, ignorance, war, superstition and starvation were everywhere, and the typical person did not survive to the age of 30. Those are the humans that the Titans would have encountered.
In Kong: Skull Island, henry said that during that time Kong was only a child, which means he might have grown since the last time we’ve seen him, which means it might finally be a fair fight for Kong and Godzilla (minus Godzilla’s blasts, also kong used to be smaller than Godzilla).
This makes me curious. What happened in the times where the godzilla species was dominant over the earth? What happened to all the godzilla’s? What were the creatures, or titans that had liven at the time?
Also, mammalian titans such as behemoth and king would have had to have evolved much later, perhaps during a radioactive “wet season” as mammals did not appear until the late Triassic

Awesome job on this timeline, thank you! It really helps put things into perspective. I hope in Godzilla vs Kong we'll see a good bit more of the other titans, especially Mothra, the queen!
I'd be shocked if they don't bring back Mothra for GvK. She's the only reason I can think of that would convince the two of them to team up and fight a bigger threat. She's also hugely popular.

Very good video my man, I was very interested in knowing the Monster-verses history and I'm glad you provided it!
I never even considered that about the cave paintings, it makes sense it would be a previous incarnation of mothra however I never even considered that the Godzilla in the paintings might have actually been Dagon instead of the Godzilla we know. maybe it's possible that both Godzilla and Dagon had fought Ghidorah at one point though not at the same time, though the idea of watching two members of Godzilla's species fight Ghidorah at the same time would be pretty cool
King Ghidorah isn't of this Earth. It's an alien from somewhere else.

I bet the unidentified titan that ripped that ship up was “Zilla”. It looks very familiar to how he destroyed one back in the 1999 US Godzilla movie.
Erick Christensen even tho most of the og Godzilla fan hated the 98 zilla I can possibly be a nod to it lol
@@brauliohernandez3724 I personally enjoyed it for what it was, back as a kid(i was like 8) and even now, its a good monster movie, people just hate on it for being a bad design of Godzilla xD lol. That being said, Zilla is canon to the Toho universe of Godzilla since they bough it off of us, as a different creature instead of a version of Godzilla, so chances are they could have him in a future movie, even if its a very small in the backround thing.
Yea I was just thinking that it looked exactly like what zilla did to that ship in the 98 film

Could it be that the Loch Ness titan is instead Titanosaurus or Manda?
Brot'Quel
Legendary doesn’t have the rights to them, that’s why Scylla and Methuselah weren’t Kumonga and Angurius
@Aidan Cuff maybe a homage to Manda or titanosaurus
enternal night Saja
Maybe, Titanus Mokele Mbembe’s Outpost number is a reference to Terror of Mechagodzilla’s release date (in reference to Titanosaurus) in the same way Mothra’s Outpost And Rodman’s Outpost are references to their movie years, and Ghidorah’s is a reference to Outpost 31 (Ghidorah is in Outpost 32) from The Thing
Aidan Cuff actually if you use math 31×2=64

This is cool. Great presentation. I wonder if the Titans can exist on Mars or the moon. I was told by a young scientist at NASA who is tracking them that some could hold their breath and jump off the moon so quickly they could get to Mars quicker than a human spaceship. That's the reason they want the Mars settlenents to be underground.

Very interesting and nicely put together. Will be watching more as time permits.
I can’t wait any longer to see what the rest of the new titans look like!
I do think that no matter how old some of the Titans are, there's no way few, like Godzilla, survived for 200 million years +. It's his species who's that old, not himself.
It's confirmed that Godzilla was hybernating since the K.T Extinction Event
@@darthgames3 I thought it was the Permian Extinction
@King Ghidorah According to _Godzilla: Awakening_ , that's correct.
@@jurassickaiju14 I know. It's just impossible for a single life form to survive 200 millions of years
Of course, it's _also_ impossible for a life form to shoot a concentrated blast of nuclear radiation...
All kidding aside, going off of _Godzilla: Aftershock_ , I like to think that the dead Godzilla seen at the beginning of the 2014 film (identified as Dagon in the comic) was probably a parent of the Godzilla we saw in the movies.

Typhon is the same Myth in the same sense as Scylla, but the Myth was twisted overtime to become more fantastical. So Titanus Typhon is not the real Typhon from Mythology, in the sense that the mythological one is the fake
@@thecryptobiologist68 elaborate this plz?
jeremy brown
Gladly: in the Monsterverse, myths like Typhon, Scylla, Quetzalcoatl, ETC. came from ancient civilizations (In the case of Tyhpon, Greece) from seeing the Titans. So these Titans are the same ones that created the Mythologies, but the Mythology is not an exact reflection of the living being.
Does this make sense?
Your research is important and appreciated
Thank you for including Gamera in the timeline. A large amount of us believe Gamera should be included and canon.
No they don't own the rights to gamera neither does toho were not getting gamera
You missed A LOT,you mentioned typhon but not any other cameo kaiju such as quetzalcoatl or yamata no orochi
True
or bunyip
@kinan hamasha we can gather info ob them from myth
I wonder if other Titans will have their own side stories? Let alone Mothra have her spot with the Chen twins as the main human protagonists.
This is really helpful and cool!

The only ones they have the rights to are Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah.

No because japan gets Godzilla back after godzilla vs Kong. Japan wants to make their own version of the marvel universe using their montsters

@@jurassickaiju14 oof i thought Kong wasn't toho
