Idk anything really about knives, but I got this one for 15 bucks and have been carrying it with me for awhile and its been a blast. It looks interesting, and for opening boxes and cutting random things I have at home or work, its perfect.
I love mine, centering, lockup is solid. I’ve put it through its paces and Gerbers 7cr isn’t really that bad as people make it out to be. I see almost no difference between it and 8cr or a softer aus8. Fine for edc, and let’s be honest, just fine for most people. And this is coming from someone who loves his s110v. Also, you can open it really easily. Use your index finger
I have quite a few knives like this. Knives I find to be good looking, but crap steel. I don’t use them, just fondle them. I’m sure that thing will take a wicked edge. Probably get one. Thanks for your time.
Digging the feel of this one. Probably more of a looker. I would still lean on my tactical for the tough work, this is one to just play with or display. I’ve also been looking into the Flatiron. But for sheer aesthetic, it’s a beauty for the tag.
Its not meant to be used for fast flashy Flicky flick blade opening. This would be a knife you could carry and pull out if needed In a more formal situation without somebody freaking out you are going to go all stab crazy.
Probably the same edge retention as the so called premium M390 with bad heat treat... I think it looks very nice and I like the razor/sheepsfoot blade shape.
Well... it's... something! Gerber gets credit for trying some funky designs and kinda "outside the box" (or rather, "shaped like a box") thinking, I suppose.
I too don't like the Ferber billboard so I think I'm gonna scotch brute it off at work but great knife over all if u like didn't old school style knifes, ergo and blade was great for what I need and mines held a pretty decent blade.
I like it. Good looking, absolutely, and different from most other things out there. I don't even hate the steel choice. Gotta sharpen it all the time just like our grandpas did with their knives. Too bad it's a Gerber.
Sweet blade! I really enjoy my straightlace. This blade would definitely compliment it. Thanks for the review, great video! Now I need to get one and throw some brass on it!😁🍻
If you like this, maybe check out the gerber that’s aluminum and box shaped... the name isn’t coming to me but I carry it as a “pen” at my open houses so I don’t scare any of the “sheeple” by having a tool in my pocket. Gerber pocket square maybe? It’s amazing and it’s a cool shape that even my grandmother liked (she hates pocket knives lol) and the only thing I can’t get over is the lovkbar is very hard to access for my medium sized hands and it takes two hands to close (“conscious close”) which is kind of respectful if you hand the do it, in public (kind of shows your paying attention and that you’re covering your tip and never muzzling anyone). The pocket square is a gem but it’s hard to close and there is serious lock stick and you have to take four t6 screws out, just to adjust the pivot, but it’s super tight pivot tension and it’s centered like a Civivi with no up and down and no side to side. I love it for what it is and I think I got it amazon for about 16 when it was around that price. It has a new age Lucas Burnley boker kwaiken look.
I cannot understand why you'd ever make a knife that has all the inconvenience of a friction folder, that actually locks. I love friction folders, but this is so confused! That tang protrusion would drive me mental sticking up out of my pocket. It's a cool idea, but it's a total swing and a miss for me.
I love the look of that knife, but like you said, that steel...... I think a legitimate CF and high end steel would be just awesome. I know the scales would detach from the look but still
It is a nice knife, but the scales are made of acrylic and it is fragile and easily scratched. The steel is 7Cr17MoV Steel is similar in quality to AUS6 not very durable. The design is good.
“If they made it with ____________” is Gerber’s thing. You know, for a knife company, they don’t know how to make their products the way people want them.
universal rule of design, "you cant please everyone" just remember that you have problems but others dont, im not hating just staying neutral, everyones entitled to there opinion

I personally really like my Jukebox. It is definitely a good novelty for the desk at least.
Would you recommend it and what do you like use it for?

50s music is good
Love mine, I also just ordered the Flatiron cleaver from Gerber, can't wait to get that puppy.
Gerber going for that 1950's slice of Americana should have manufactured it in the U.S.A with at least 420.
440A is way better than 420.😳

Hold it like a straight razor when you open it? Is it really too much to ask to change your grip when you deploy?
Had one for a couple of months now. A good solid work knife but had to sharpen it when I got it.
Probably the same edge retention as the so called premium M390 with bad heat treat... I think it looks very nice and I like the razor/sheepsfoot blade shape.

Wish the steel choice was better here. At least D2 would have been nice to have. I think I still have to get it for the aesthetics alone.
A cool novelty knife for sure.
The tang is for a non-lethal self defense weapon. Imagine it in your temple....
Looks like it belongs in the 2019 ZT lineup... watch out Gerber, ZTs coming for ya!

JT's Knife Life why is it too bad it’s a Gerber. You just said it was fine.
@@hunterglaspell5580 Yeah, I just have a bad history with Gerber and on principle I won't buy their knives anymore.
JT's Knife Life well I’ve had a bad history with almost every knife brand but it hasn’t stopped me. But more power too you man
@@hunterglaspell5580 Yep, we've gotta make our own choices, and in this case I've gotta stick with mine. Take care man. 👍
It's a traditional, think Roughryder.
Sweet blade! I really enjoy my straightlace. This blade would definitely compliment it. Thanks for the review, great video! Now I need to get one and throw some brass on it!😁🍻
Also, I agree about turning it into a front flipper!
Almost every folding knife should have a front flipper version lol

Nice retro piece....Good stuff....

The Quadrant. Lovely and very quiet carry.

You flip the tang off your hip😂
Seems like a knife for hipsters lol. But in a serious note, how sharp is it straight out of the package?
I love the look of that knife, but like you said, that steel...... I think a legitimate CF and high end steel would be just awesome. I know the scales would detach from the look but still
I would be embarrassed carrying that. Oh I see your carrying a 'GERBER!!!' I cant stand how it says that on the clip! Good video though! 👍
Anybody know if it's legal to carry this in California?
Nice one!!
Clip spoils it🤔
GREAT Vid 👍 💚
That clip has to go, I can’t stand pocket clips. Every time I go to reach into my pocket, the body of the knife rips at my knuckles.
bravofighter pocket clip is removable, just like almost every pocket clip on any knife with one.

Interesting knife, but after the flatiron... I don't want any Gerbers now lol

Pacific Standard Time
😂
That was worth the scare that it would be some kind of identity theft link.

They can do better than 7cr come on gerber
Pencil sharpener🤔 you could carry a proper knife as well, just use this to show your friends👍
Looks like junk from a pawnshop to me. Plus gerber sucks. Appreciate the video man.
Gerber? Thanks but No...
