i just rewatched the pilot.............that line from Ben makes zero sense. He barely knows her, how could she have that effect on him? it feels unearned and would've been better used later in the season once he interacted with her more. they felt like empty words

This is hands down one of the best tv pilots I've ever seen. It hooks you right in immediately. I love it.
season 1 is good, the rest of the series was pretty bad
Season 2 is so much fun! But yes 3and 4 ho downhill

I also love the season finale where Ben says that “At first I was scared by it, but now I like it.” Such a huge growth.
