Blizzard: 'We are happy with this"

Blizzard once said "For Enhancement, we’ve generally been pleased with the state and talent diversity of their specialization tree"

The core gameplay is good, but hero talents really highlighted the problems with enhance spec tree.
It's fun, but it could be awesome, if they reduced 2 point nodes and added in things such as the current s3 df enhance set, but working based on msw generated rather than wolves. Etc etc...

This was so painful to watch! 😂

Enh talent tree is sooooo damn chaotic. It's sad to see how bad can things be done.

Totemic is a hero tree that IMO requires a counterintuitive unorthodox spec build. You have to forget the notion of storm build vs elementalist build. What I came up with is acceptable to me but people locked in to DF style shamie aren't going to like it. No crash lightning, sundering, primordial, ice strike/hailstorm, no lots of stuff. Just maelstrom generators (more wolves) and things that reduce CD/refresh of stormstrike and lava lash. The tree just barely allows it. Even then one of the motes of the totemic capstone will always be wasted, arguably the most powerful one, but I have found many of the classes I want to play have a dead pr partially dead hero talent considering the way I want to build and play them. The problem with enhance IMO is that for half of DF the entire spec was based around the 4pc tier set bonus and season 1 of TWW is the same. I can almost guarantee the season 2 4pc enhance bonus will be based around making ascendance OP. This is just lazy design. I don't think blizz cares about enhance's design so long as it does decent DPS, this combined with the survival buffs in the general tree (earth shield charges heal for alot more for ex, and others) make a compelling argument for doing nothing with the spec but throwing out OP 4pc set bonuses from the devs point of view. Because TBH I don't think they even know what to do with enhance from a design perspective. Maybe Thrall switching to fury is Freudian?

We have 9 talent nodes with 2 points... why?...

Not so fun fact: The average number of 2-pointer talents between all dps specs is 3. We have 3 times that! Most lately reworked specs like destro, demo lock or ele have 0 after their updates.

Because of Laziness. It's really that simple. The neglect is real.

i loved to play enhancer in Shadowlands. I was optimistic for DF but hated DF Enhancer. I had hope TWW would be better but it seemed that tww will be worse :(

Blizzard literally said they aren't done with Shaman changes. 100% chance Enhance gets another pass and they cut down (or out) all the 2-point nodes.

That's what we're hoping for, but without ppl giving feedback on how f'ed up it is there's less of a chance!

You missed the part where they stated they are pleased with enhance and thus only gave it a light touch. Expecting more after that statement is pure cope.

@@Sly_404 I didn't. Removing the 2-point nodes easily falls into their philosophy of a "lighter touch". Literally every spec has had significant reductions in their 2-point nodes after a rework was announced/implemented. To assume Enhance shaman will somehow slip through the cracks is a doomer take. I completely agree with OP tho, DO PROVIDE FEEDBACK!!! The worst thing you can do now is be complacent...and sadly alot of Ehhance players seem to be.

@@sethsullivan3986 I think you're forgetting something very important. A "lighter touch" cannot include removing/reducing 2 point nodes at the capstone level. We have 11 talent nodes in our capstones. If they reduce the 5 nodes down there that are 2 points to 1, suddenly we have the ability to pick up basically ALL of our capstones. That's definitely not what they want. The only way to mitigate this is to NOT use a "light touch" and add new talent nodes down there to push enhance into choosing what talents NOT to take. Every other class (With potentially unwanted exceptions) is unable to take ALL of their capstone talents. TL;DR They cannot apply a light touch if they want to eliminate our 2point talents, UNLESS it's ONLY above the capstone level.
