Yeah, Crumbs guide made it much easier, still frustrating, but easier. Wouldn't ever want to attempt that quest without a guide, was confusing enough as it was!
Im god idc so many quests would be insanely hard without guides. specially for people not that good in english. some quests i felt like would be next to impossible without a guide or atleast would take me a crap ton of time to figure out. respect to all the guys that figured the more difficult quests before guides. i cant imagine the frustration you guys must have had
yea but im just saying since he said it wasnt that hard (no quest is hard with a guide unless it takes individual skills) with a guide, this video is probably thought of with out guides
First time I did Underground pass I really liked it The atmosphere in the cave, the way your buddy slowly goes crazy, the messages Iban sends you, the three dwarves which are the only sane ones, the soulless creatures in the cages If you're gonna do it just once it's a great quest
I had a hell of a time with those back in the day, I was low cb and agility wearing some weird 2006 gear all cause I wanted the dragon hally which I then proceeded to use as a main handed weapon for at least a year haha
Unpopular opinion: Underground Pass is a great quest. Loads of exploration, interesting narrative, great ambience and music, good rewards. The only issue with it is that it expects you to have decent Agility and most RS players have a ridiculous bias against that skill
I agree I didn't have trouble with underground passed and actually enjoyed the quest due to good rewards! Since I had 58 agility I fell only like 5 10 times
Narratively is amazing but the issue is the frustrations with the gap leaps and when you fall 10-20 time and have to resupply multiple times, it overshadows the good parts in your mind
I was so scared of Desert Treasure back in the day I wouldn't even touch it until I was a high combat level. By the time I finally did it, it wasn't even that bad. The ice area was the only one that gave me trouble.

I have always had a love hate relationship with this game. I agree most of these frustrations back in the day where agility based. I started back in Halloween 05. Agility is the most important skill in the game cause it applies to every other skill in the game. You can have all the teleports in the game but your still gonna be running everywhere. Underground pass and regicide were actually fun for me. The underground pass was a great dungeon to explore, the elf forest discovered after that was surprising and the story is awesome. I’m actually currently working on the skills needed to begin song of the elves to finish this awesome adventure.

Leveling agility sucks a lot, but God damn did it help with Underground Pass! I fell a total of 3 times between Underground Pass AND Regicide because when I did those quests my agility was 71!
Frem Trials? Really? There's a difference between long/tedious and hard. It may be a chore but it's NOT hard by any stretch of the imagination. Even if you decide to go for the optional Fremenink Sword, I still wouldn't put it in top ten catagory.
Was going to leave a negative comment about regicide not being that hard, and going to say Mournings End 2 being challenging as hell.. then you put it #1. I had to leave the maze so many times (on iron man and chew up 20 prayer pots, all my strange fruits, and you can't even hold food with the crystal collect near the end). Yet it's way worth it now since with GOTR you can make deaths super easily. Iban blast is one of the most efficient spells and this quest is super worth it! Ironmen (ensure you have someone who can make make prayer pots and be prepared with the studying of the puzzle). There is no time to read what you do next. Whoever the first person to figure out that quest is a legend!
Right? The fact that the glider gnome is the end of the line angered me. It's like: "No yeah sure, I'll pay you 500 gp to replace the gem I accidentally crushed BECAUSE I'M DOING YOU A FUCKING FAVOUR! Why don't you take all my food while you're at it too! I'm in a real giving mood today apparently!" Then they have the nerve to consider using his glider location as a reward when there is a fairy ring like 10 feet away.
I know this is an old video, but where would you place DS2 on this list? I'm going for Quest Cape and have some of the quests on tgis list. Namely: MM2, MEP2 and DS2. Those are the only ones that I have left that I feel will really grind my gears.
10: not hard, but one of the most annoying and boring quests, totally agree on that. 9: easy, I always wondered why this is classified as a Master Quest. 8. Fair to be on the top 10. 7. total cancer, no doubt. 6. Definately worth a spot this list, because of the requirements. 5. Like regicide: cancer. 4. Unpopular opinion: I liked this quest. I understand why people find it annoying though. 3. definately a tough quest, maybe the hardest imo. 2. what? This makes the least sense to me on this list. 1. A worthy no. 1. I saw it coming ;) Im really surprised monkey madness 1 isn't on this list. It has always been one of my most hated quests, because of the lenght and content in it (the puzzle, the constant poisoning, running through that dungeon etc). Also, why Fremennik Trials over One Small Favor? You even said it yourself, that it's like a mini OSF.
1. eoc 2. rs3 3. squeal of fortune 4. solomon's store 5. that chest thing that you get 2 keys for everyday 6. gay pride event 7. divination 8. the new skillcapes 9. rs3 hud changes, that blue shit is awful 10. grand exchange remake
Lytheus Dude the Invention skill is way worse than divination, divination has a rather simple consept, Invention on the other hand, added a unnecessary level of complexity. The only thing is that Invetion is fairly faster to level up if you have money, but divination is not that bad as you can go all the way to 99 only by Guthixian Cache wich only take a few minutes per day.
didn't even know invention was a thing tbh, im an oldschool only player where would you put invention on my list & what would you remove to take its place?
I agree with Janoy, Its hard as fuck to just finnish quests as druidic ritual, cuz seriously... We want to just kill and skill. not run around readin stories.
You make amazing quest guides. Its so much easier to watch someone do it than reading on the wiki. Thanks you so much for your work Slayermusiq1. I just watched this quest guide as a preparation. Im never in the mood to do these long quests :(. Maybe next week!
Get runelite if you're not already using it, download the quest helper plugin. Doesn't have all the quests, but most of them. Puts waypoints on your map, tells you what items you need, it's great.
Mourning's End Part 2 without a guide... it's a puzzle! I have to agree with you're top ten, I completed all the quests and those u mentioned are the most annoying, I just have to disagree with the Swan Song. Just the requirements are boring to get, but the quest itself isn't that hard or annoying.
Its 2023 and im still playing classic non stop for nostalgia and the new custom content keep the game alive and join our community Search for rsc dragonfire
DT, Underground Pass, Mourning’s End and Regicide were like some of my favourites lol… tbh I was always underwhelmed at the difficulty - probably because they were so overhyped. Underground pass I found most difficult but I also got really invested in it and looked forward to unlocking the elven lands.
i would rather do mm2 than me2 x.x after falling that agility step like 40 times with lvl 80 agility I just wanted to go to bed and cry.. at least mm2 is somewhat enjoyable to do
Ive been trying to do contact on a pure with no prayer............................................................... still havent been able to kill the boss
With MEII, I was looking forward to it. Iʼd heard there were puzzles most players found annoying, and I wanted to try my hand at them because I usually like puzzles. Then I got there and learned I needed to pray melee the entire time, decided to use a guide, and still used up almost all my prayer pots. And in the process learned that I wouldnʼt have even enjoyed the puzzles that much anyway because it wasnʼt clear enough what I was aiming for at first, what was pre-installed, etc. I canʼt imagine how bad it is in RS3. They give you a color wheel as a hint, which I wouldnʼt have needed but I understand why itʼs useful, but in exchange the prayer spells are all nerfed and *everything* can partially hit through prayer.
Only quest I used a video guide for was MEP2, I could honestly not be arsed to read a block of text for that... But DoH was actually not a bad quest either.
Following quest guides along via video guides makes them feel like you're doing them with someone rather than reading runeHQ alone and missing steps because you're tired or something
Started playing oldschool just a few weeks ago. Prior to that I've been playing rs3 since I didn't want to start from 0(been playing since 2004, but then gave it a go anyways). So far I've accumulated about 100 QP(In RS3 I have 399). Current goals are to get ready for monkey madness, RFD, DT, Fremennik quests to unlock neiti, and a few others to unlock certain areas. Probably won't be going for quest cape any time soon as MM 2 and DS 2 are probably really difficult.
I like darkness of hallowvale, pretty chill plus a nice teleport at the end. You can also just directly talk to a vyrewatch to go to the mines, making the "notice me senpai" part useless lolol
temple of light really didnt give me TOO much trouble doing it on osrs, but i can get why if puzzles aren't a thing you enjoy/excel at then it could be a nightmare lol. it is kinda the final boss of quest cape at least before the new ones came out.
I had fun doing Fremmy trails back in the day have to do it again on my osrs account to do Lunar diplomacy. I’m looking forward to it. I just did Desert Treasure I’m combat lvl 59 wasn’t to be bad just kinda annoying. Surprised it’s number 5 on this list. Make me not so afraid of the other quest you mentioned.
100% agree mournings end II is most difficult. I quit playing for a year and abandoned my main acc because I had started it too soon and was not ready for the headache it had brought. Recently started new acc and happily playing everyday again
Until recently I had a 1 def 1 prayer build. And out of boredom/ completionists sake I also did mourning's end part 2 on it and completed it. What is funny is that I was way more 'scared' of failing quests on my main and thus unknowingly made them more difficult for myself to complete. And the biggest reason was this: In my head, it was unacceptable for me to not one-shot a quest or have to run back to a bank to get supplies for the same section of a quest. Even without realising it, I had put these restraints on myself, making all of the quests way harder than they had to be. On my pure however, I simply did the quests in chunks. Accepting the fact that I wouldn't make it in one go anyway. This actually made all of the quests, including mourning's end part 2, a hell of a lot easier and less taxing to do. So if I can give any advice to anyone that isn't enjoying their questing experiences: Just drop your ego and accept that you'll take more time on a quest. Just accept the fact that you'll go back and bank midway in the quest, or after a few checkpoints. This will make your questing experience way better, because you won't feel like an absolute failure, the quests become easier and less draining on your mind. This goes especially for master and grandmaster quests. Remember, even raids are separated into fighting parts and re-supplying parts. Don't forget the re-supplying part during your quests ;)
I'm going for quest cape next week, now training up all lvl requirements to get it. And considering I did everyquest on this list except the top 3, and found them quite enjoyable and easy... this gave me some confidence mate :D!!!
Darkness of Hallowvale at least had got writing story-wise. Maybe it's Swampletics influence, but Morytania region's quest actually made me start reading NPC dialogues while questing
Crumb I agree with Darkness of Hallowvale, this was hands down the most obnoxious quest next to Mourning’s End Part 2 I have completed due to all the climbing shelves and jumping over shit just to get to a place. These two were neck and neck with rat catchers, especially since I did the whole thing with a KITTEN because I didn’t know you had to wait three hours for your kitten to grow full size.
I know its still hard and tedious for most people, but MEP2 can be done quite easily if you bring full graceful + sgs and ring of the gods. Went there with 3 food and 2 ppots and had some left over supplies, just needed some inventory space
I remember Regicide, it was actually luckily easy for me. That trap section where you needed to find your way to the gate, I was lucky and ran straight line from one of the rows and didn't get hit. I won 20 euros from lottery after that too.
Fortunately for me I did desert treasure at 89 combat & that made things easier for sure. Also completes RFD in the same day, finally securing those barrows gloves

Frem Trials? Really? There's a difference between long/tedious and hard. It may be a chore but it's NOT hard by any stretch of the imagination. Even if you decide to go for the optional Fremenink Sword, I still wouldn't put it in top ten catagory.
Agreed
By that metric one small favor should be #1
I agree with you on Underground Pass. I cannot remember having ever been more frustrated by anything in all of osrs.
Rewatching this I would really love to see an update with the new quests
I had 72 agilitybefore doing UP and Regicide, made life SO MUCH EASIER and I rarely fell to traps. Desert Treasure is my #1 most difficult
i killed the swan song boss with 80 combat, as long as you tank the melee hits upfront and pray protect from magic its not that hard
One small favor wasn't hard but it was such a pain >_
The gem cutting part was annoying, but other than that it was quite simple
Darkness of hollowvale was one of my favorite quests.
1. I saw it coming ;)
Im really surprised monkey madness 1 isn't on this list. It has always been one of my most hated quests, because of the lenght and content in it (the puzzle, the constant poisoning, running through that dungeon etc).
Also, why Fremennik Trials over One Small Favor? You even said it yourself, that it's like a mini OSF.
i really enjoyed darkness of hallowvale the whole morytania castle drakan storyline is intresting to me
Rat Catcher's with a kitten is the hardest quest in Runescape. Change my mind.
Joe Barkil evil daves part of rfd with a kitten. I spent so long time that my kitten turned into a cat. Took me 4hrs or so to finish
InTenZeGamingHD you should have made the kitten a cat first lmaooo but awesome
I love how three of these are in the same quest series.
Top 10 worst updates next ?
Good suggestion man, I just might! :D
1. eoc
2. rs3
3. squeal of fortune
4. solomon's store
5. that chest thing that you get 2 keys for everyday
6. gay pride event
7. divination
8. the new skillcapes
9. rs3 hud changes, that blue shit is awful
10. grand exchange remake
Lytheus Dude the Invention skill is way worse than divination, divination has a rather simple consept, Invention on the other hand, added a unnecessary level of complexity. The only thing is that Invetion is fairly faster to level up if you have money, but divination is not that bad as you can go all the way to 99 only by Guthixian Cache wich only take a few minutes per day.
didn't even know invention was a thing tbh, im an oldschool only player
where would you put invention on my list & what would you remove to take its place?
Maybe in 7th and remove the GE remake or divination
The quests listed here
10: Fremenik Trials
9: Swan song
8: Legends Quest
7: Regicide
6: RFD
5: Desert Treasure
4: Underground Pass
3: Monkey Madness 2
2: Darkness of Hallowvale
1: Mournings End Part 2
Time to update this list ”cough” song of the elves
I like your spin on melee, calling it "Muh - Lee" LOL
I too say it this way
i hate quests so much, never enjoyed any quests, as i feel its a waste, i only do quests to wear or wield specific items
my name jeff How are quests a waste of time?
I agree with Janoy, Its hard as fuck to just finnish quests as druidic ritual, cuz seriously... We want to just kill and skill. not run around readin stories.
Jan-Erik Bergvall speak for u self you blob.
We don’t care about quest we’re freaks
I love the stories in the quests. Without them the game has no meaning or purpose.
You make amazing quest guides. Its so much easier to watch someone do it than reading on the wiki. Thanks you so much for your work Slayermusiq1. I just watched this quest guide as a preparation. Im never in the mood to do these long quests :(. Maybe next week!
MM2 is definitely #1...
Get runelite if you're not already using it, download the quest helper plugin. Doesn't have all the quests, but most of them. Puts waypoints on your map, tells you what items you need, it's great.
how is DT lower on the list than RFD when DT is required to finish RFD. -.-
Adam G you need regicide and underground pas to do roving elves, Just because it comes afterwards does not mean it is harder.
B leck it is harder, cause you have to do a hard quest to do a harder quest.
Vega Just saying that Its harder, proves your point in no way.
paradox ur logic is awful
Crumb is bad at runescape.
Mourning's End Part 2 without a guide... it's a puzzle!
I have to agree with you're top ten, I completed all the quests and those u mentioned are the most annoying, I just have to disagree with the Swan Song. Just the requirements are boring to get, but the quest itself isn't that hard or annoying.
underground pass: 99 agility recommended
and boost potions
Its 2023 and im still playing classic non stop for nostalgia and the new custom content
keep the game alive and join our community
Search for rsc dragonfire
"one hour" for fremmy trials lel
😆
i like regicide so much as a quest… same for mournings end questlines
"k thx bye" rules.
DT, Underground Pass, Mourning’s End and Regicide were like some of my favourites lol… tbh I was always underwhelmed at the difficulty - probably because they were so overhyped. Underground pass I found most difficult but I also got really invested in it and looked forward to unlocking the elven lands.
Contact needs to be on there, that dungeon one of the most dangerous places in osrs, mm2 needs to be number 1
i would rather do mm2 than me2 x.x after falling that agility step like 40 times with lvl 80 agility I just wanted to go to bed and cry.. at least mm2 is somewhat enjoyable to do
done it on a low combat pure no
Ive been trying to do contact on a pure with no prayer............................................................... still havent been able to kill the boss
@@Lynnrosehn look up contact! safespot boss fight
I think im the only one who likes DoH tbh
I liked DoH! I even used a text guide.
What does DoH stand for?
CrumbRs darkness of hollowvale or whatever loool
Only quest I used a video guide for was MEP2, I could honestly not be arsed to read a block of text for that... But DoH was actually not a bad quest either.
I think DoH is my favourite quest. I like the vampyre lore and i found traveling through the city fun.
Underground pass is a personal favourite of mine and halfway through DT lol
Wheres tutorial island?
honestly didn't find darkness of hallowvale too bad--definitely saw mornings end coming
This is my top five hardest quests
1 Sliske's endgame
2 Nomad's Elegy
3 Firemakers curse
4 mournings end II
5 Elemental workshop III
Therealsds1000 lol this is OSRS, not RS3.
looks like someone's triggered.
I like how you can't see this top five was I joke to bait stupid idiots like you.
SANITYISFORTHEWEAK I'm not saying I'm not retarded, I'm just showing that I'm not the only one.
What are you talking about? Sliskes endgame was the easiest 6 hours of my life... who am I kidding fuck that quest
I'm on mornings end part 2 right now, and this was on my recommended videos... 😂
How ironic that you pronounce 'pronunciation' Very wrong.
Danny Pearce happens when you grow up in a bilingual place
You have understated almost every one of the quests and how long they take to complete. 6/10 tier list.
id put MM2 as #1. ME2 was annoying but not hard. MM2 is hard and annoying
Bro it’s pronounced “may-lay”, not “Me-lii”.
I just made Darkness of Hallowvale yesterday, I got stuck sometimes, but the history kinda liked it
Is english not your first language? You seem to not be so good at words
There is a lot of irony in this comment.
No irony, you just don't get my comment. The 2nd sentence is a jab at his poor speaking skills.
now there's irony, thanks to jonathan's comment
96 he is Canadian, they don’t exactly pronounce words right.
Restless ghost is not on the list ,
I like darkness of hallowvale, pretty chill plus a nice teleport at the end.
Broooo i just did regicide follow by mourning end part I and II all in the same day.. im proud of myself lol
I'm going for quest cape next week, now training up all lvl requirements to get it. And considering I did everyquest on this list except the top 3, and found them quite enjoyable and easy... this gave me some confidence mate :D!!!
Good luck on your goal man! Yeah questing can be really fun when you get into the grove of it
slayermusiq1 is a legend... dude has done all quests like 10 times.. fokin hell
I won 20 euros from lottery after that too.
that first comment on the underground pass was on point. i still remember the vibe i got while doing it and dark and satanic was definitely it. lol
Fortunately for me I did desert treasure at 89 combat & that made things easier for sure. Also completes RFD in the same day, finally securing those barrows gloves
YES i seen it coming Mournings End 2 and agree haha ... I feel special , i have done all these quests , except MM2 :)
