I used to just ignore pothos because they are so common... now I’m in love with them. They do look good as houseplants. Not to mention easy to take care of.
Agreed! I hate following any trend. I love all of my plants, but I have to admit all of my pothos have an extra special place in my heart. I’m currently growing one of them on a moss pole because I want the leaves to become giant. I can’t wait to see the result in a year or 2!
Pothos in their natural habitats do climb. The higher they climbs the more thicker their vine get with bigger leaves. I got a golden pothos with 8-10 inch long size leaves at the top. There are pictures online that show some with leaves that are over 20 inch long. All Pothos and Philodendron are capable of getting bigger stems, vines and leaves except for dwarf varieties. We are so used to seeing them small because most people are probably growing them as an indoor plants without a tall totem or tree. Nice Video
Ah yes! I saw some really huge ones in Miami at Fairchild botanical gardens that were practically wrapping around trees, and they can get invasive in the wild. but yeah as houseplants they need our help to do the same, since they don't grow as big. Thanks for sharing! ☺️
You can see one at ruclips.net/video/Z3_z47rlW0E/видео.htmlm48s Look at the tree on your left. Golden pothos has climbed over it Note the leaves get bigger at the top. I have seen a leaf close to 2ft long. The video is of no importance.
Yes Google pothos invasive in florida and you can see just how big they get. I didn't even realize what they were until I started getting into plants. Now I'm gonna go snip some at my MIL house since she hates them in her trees anyways 🤣
This whole time I thought I had a Marble Queen. It never daid the name, just "indoor house plant". It is very white. I now know it's a Snow Queen. Very beautiful. I'm so lucky! Thank you this video is so helpful. I also didn't know golden pothos could "golden" even if it starts out dark green like mine did. I thought I was overwatering it though the leaves seemed healthy...
I usually don't watch any ads but this video was so well made and put together. I watched a 15 second state farm video lol. Thanks for sharing this info!
Love seeing how you show the variety of leaves on each one, and you have such gorgeous and well developed, happy plants! Your channel is wonderful, thankyou for sharing your knowledge!
Love your video, now I want them all.... it's so addictive collecting this plants as they are very easy to look after and so beautiful at the same time.
I bought a marble queen pothos last year and within that year I fell in love with them and now I’m addicted to my pothos and vining plants I now have a jade, golden and marble pothos now :)
Hello just watched your channel on repot the monstera, I know you know this, placating holds morsture, also hold bck. On the water they hold it already in their trunks. The terra-cotta is good idea;) Wish you best😔💕
Thank you for this video, i've learned a lot. I never thought that there are 22 varietes of pothos, we only have 3kinds photos out of 22. Love from Philippines.
Hi Mabelle! I was surprised too with how many varieties there are, all I knew at first was the golden pothos. Philippines have great varieties of epipremnum pinnatum I didn't get to cover in this video, only the Cebu Blue!
For more pothos varieties I didn't get to mention in this video, be sure to check out my companion blogpost: mywastelesslife.home.blog/?p=155. and to be sure you are getting the full information from this video, turn on the English CC for subtitles 😊
This has answered SO many questions!! I will be keeping this for reference and posting this several places when people mislabel, misinform, etc. THANK YOU!!!!
Pothos were my first successful plant that got me into plants, I’ve got many pothos and they’ve been my introductory to propagation. They’re so nice and easy
Very informative video, thank you. I have the Brasil, lemon lime and heart leaf Philos as well as the Scindapsus Pictus. I also have a Golden Pothos and the Marble Queen. Currently looking to get the Rio Silver Stripe and Scindapsus Exotica. I love trailing plants.
Thanks for such an in depth video. I've been trying to find out how many Pothos variteis there are. I only have 10 varieties, so I'm about to embark on quite a mission!
Dang... very informative. This is a down-the-rabbit-hole video. I currently just have the regular Epipremnum Pinnatum and the Golden Photos. I am now looking for a Cebu Blue. Mabuhay!
New subscriber here fr Concepcion Tarlac. Thanks for the video. I never thought there are 22 varieties of Pothos. i only have 4 of them. Looking forward to have some more Pothos💖💖💖
Ur knowledge is too good about these plants...specially those hybrids I have never heard about...I do have golden, jade, njoy, neon, marble queen cutting...scindapsus pictus like urs n green, neon n brazil philadendron...I am in love with pothos n philadendron heart leafs
Thank you so much for this amazing video. I had no idea that there are so many types of pothos, and it was just amazing how easily you explained to us the main things we should focus to recognise the plant. You did an incredible research, thank you !
The information you provided was incredibly helpful! Thanks to your excellent video, I was able to ID a Pearls and Jade that I found on a bargain/half-dead table. It's SO GREAT to find someone on RUclips who really knows what they're talking about! LOL XO
Can you make a video how to care for them? Solutions for plants that are turning brown? I love hearing about different plants but want to learn how to care for them. Thanks
Awesomely informative video on pothos and pothos "like" plant types! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge!! I learned SOOO MUCH!
Thank you so much for making this video! I’ve been stressing about the leaves yellowing on what I thought was a pothos but it’s actually a philodendron!!
Wow! just amazing. The full time I was stuck with the video. It was so informative still not boring!! You do a great job. I think now I can identify little bit more.❤
Great video! So thorough! I never paid much attention to pothos, it was so common but now I want every variety! LOL I have several but I really want a harlequin, I love that dark green and white combo. I have several plants where I took the vine, pinned the node down to a pot next to it and eventually they took root and grew. I like this way of propagating because there is little stress to the plant, only cut it when you set the new plant free. Check out the global green pothos, very pretty! Again, great video! New subscriber!
Great video! I have finally figured them all out but it took me a while to truly figure out the correct name for each... I SURE WISH I'D OF FOUND YOUR CHANNEL AND THIS VIDEO YEARS AGO but I still enjoyed the content very much! Thank you for sharing 🌱🌱🌱
I used to just ignore pothos because they are so common... now I’m in love with them. They do look good as houseplants. Not to mention easy to take care of.
Same here! 💚
Yup same here! 😊

I love how they trail and if you elevate them and theyre long you can make a jungle in a house pretty easily
Knowledge is Queen! Well done girl! This is information packed, and you obviously know what you are talking about! I will look out for your videos!
Thanks 😘😘😘
Best ever presentations I have watched regarding pothos.
Thank you! 💚☺️
I could not believe my eyes watching such a huge variety. Super collection
Thanks!

N'joy pothos is my favourite variety as you said that it's a white variegated. I keep it in little darker place it's looking so beautiful.
njoy pothos has white variegation and i do find that (and pearls & jade and glacier pothos) do maintain their variegation well even in low light
Love this video! I watched it last year to learn about the different types and now I have nearly all of them! 💕

Can you do a video on Glacier pothos, exclusive? I want to make sure I just purchased a Glacier and not a NJoy...
Hi, sure I'll see if I can do one in the near future. But if u want to DM me in IG & send me pics I might be able to help ID your plant faster.
When propagating pothos, how long should it take for them to start growing secondary roots? Or does the roots have to grow a certain length first?
Great video! So thorough! I never paid much attention to pothos, it was so common but now I want every variety! LOL I have several but I really want a harlequin, I love that dark green and white combo. I have several plants where I took the vine, pinned the node down to a pot next to it and eventually they took root and grew. I like this way of propagating because there is little stress to the plant, only cut it when you set the new plant free. Check out the global green pothos, very pretty! Again, great video!
