My son and I attended. It was our first, but not our last 😀. We enjoyed our time and our traditional foods. Thanks to all who help put this event together. It was a beautiful Sunday on the Apache Nation.
Oh yeah awesome moves dudes. Thanks for sharing the video. One day more natives will begin to support one another. When that day comes we will be stronger than ever💪✌
I've attended several pow wows in the Pacific Northwest but have never seen a danceoff. The dancing always seems very demanding to me, especially since they're dancing in moccasins.
attend a pow wow and ask around. i was a grass dancer when i was a young guy but now i want to see if there is a dance for hunters. i love to hunt. so we are in the same boat. i tan elk, moose and deer hides and plan on putting up vids on youtube whenever i get better recording equipment. im shoshone bannock. i really wanna show outsiders our ways so they dont feel "disrespectful" when asking questions.
My maternal grandmother was thought to be one-half Blackfoot, but when my mother and her siblings wen to the local Catholic boarding school in Cataldo Idaho, they were registered as Cree. My mother and her siblings never learned very much about their Native American heritage because their mother rejected it. So, I know very little about Native American foods except Indian tacos. What is bannic?
I am from Australia and I absolutely love this style of dance. Their energy is incredible, and with the elaborate costumes just amazing 🎉😊
So beautiful I cried. I wish I hadn’t been denied this part of my heritage.
Take part in it now

Apache Gold Casino which is on the San Carlos Apache reservation in San Carlos, Arizona. :)
wonder what those costumes cost?
It’s all hand-made. Costs more time than anything else lol. Fancy is mostly synthetic stuff these days
too much
Ya ppl making the regalia now days 2 to 3000 a n.v d that's not the bead work bustles are 700 alone its expensive to dance if ur tring to place
My little brother dances and his outfit was handmade, took a few months to make.
We call it regalia not costumes
